Action Arcade Wrestling

Action Arcade Wrestling

This game has a place in the set of currently available wrestling video games out there, in part because it has a different combination of pros and cons.

Pros:

1. The creation suite is good, although you must post your wrestler online if you wish to use it.

2. The action is acceptable, and it comes nearer to an American style of fantasy wrestling than to a Japanese style.

3. You can play multiplayer, against the computer, or cpu versus cpu. The cpu is not perfect, but it is watchable and does not fall into the same routines that other games do. For instance, in WWE2k, you can tell what a cpu wrestler will do distinctly before it does it, and it looks the same every time. In Fire Pro, the cpu is more variable but most of the moves do not look awesome or powerful. This game falls somewhere between those two points: the moves look acceptable and are not as telegraphed.

So remember Wrestlefest? Think that game now with the ability to create wrestlers, arenas, federations, belts, etc. Also there’s the ability to download other people’s CAWs and Arenas which there’s already some awesome stuff available.

I’m honestly having a blast with this. Will leave a more in-depth review later, but just wanted to leave a positive review shortly after release in case people were on the fence about this one.

To quickly address some of the negative reviews bashing it for not being the same depth as Fire Pro……..This isn’t Fire Pro, nor was it meant to be as in-depth as it. The whole appeal of this game is that it’s a very simple, pick up and play, arcade style wrestling game. Anyone could pick it up and understand it very quickly. Great for playing with friends who don’t want to learn the way more in-depth controls that Fire Pro and WWE 2K have.

Hectic and chaotic; wishing there were a few more game modes though for increased viewer participation! BUT it’s on the right path for sure :)

Double Turn

Double Turn

You can be knocked out of your own combo, characters lack much difference between each other, and AI is easily exploited. It’s not a very fun game. The potential is there and its core loop is interesting but there is too little here for it to be recommended as is.

Nice idea and design, poor realization

The game can’t be considered as a finished project even if one overlooks the lack of content, because some fundamental features don’t work:

[olist]

  • AI in Practice mode doesn’t work: an NPC just stands still and meekly gets player’s hits. If it’s supposed to be so, then the developer should have added several options to adjust the NPC behavior like make it always blocking or jumping or performing a sequence of movements.* A player’s profile disappears after closing the game, that leads to disappearing of a gamepad custom configuration also. Moreover, the game doesn’t allow me to create a profile with the same name again although I don’t see it and can’t choose it.

It needs some polish, but I will be hoping for updates to make the posing more flexible.

The forearm sorely needs a way to be rotated on more than one axis so you can turn the wrist and minor things like that.

But besides minor bugs and that this is the best Rock’Em’Sock’Em Robots type thing I have ever played lol.

Mark Out! The Wrestling Card Game

Mark Out! The Wrestling Card Game

I love this game and i see the potential

Especially combining card is really fun and i want to be able to combine two combined cards with eachother and just go crazy with it. I like all the references to other companies the naming of moves are great like the one horn demon. And praise no microtransactions

But and this is something that needs to be sorted you can basically take about 2 moves have a 2 energy lead, reverse literally everything and then just win from either the opponent not having any cards left or they keep hurting them selves and then you use one of your cards to put them out of their misery.

If you’ve played RAW Deal, With Authority or Synamic D this is a game you want to check out.

It’s still in Early Access, but the foundations are already here for something awesome . A wrestling collectable card game, much like the games mentioned above where you build your best desk of cards to challenge the AI or PVP for EXP to level up and VC (No micro-transactions).

VC earnt from winning matches is then spent on opening packs of cards to acquire new moves to add to your collection.

There is also a create a wrestler option where you can watch your CAW perform the cards moves during gameplay and a create a card and combine option, where you can cook up any move you wish.

CARRUMBLE

CARRUMBLE

The idea is good, but the game doesn’t feel finished. What is it like if you ask me, I would say it is mix of Crash Bandicoot mode (that survival mode where you are riding a creature depending which character you chose and have to knock enemies off ice / area) + cars. After a few matches the game becomes stale, but I let my niece (6 years old) to play this game to collect diesel for me to unlock skins. Well, she liked it, and had fun. But there are many bugs like you can stuck airborne and can’t do anything (which is somehow is good as opponents can’t hit you), but after some time you die automatically and get respwaned. Another one is when you stuck inside of corner of the arena, in this situation you don’t get auto-respawned, and most likely win. Also, I activated a code for Betty Carnek skin, but neither I got it, nor found it in garage / store.

Real player with 248.4 hrs in game

Carrumble is a fun little game with a fantastic soundtrack! It doesn’t take too much time to play a single match, the perfect game if you have some spare time.

Collectors are able to acquire lots of Car skins by levelling up or spending real money. However, this does not effect the gameplay much in my opinion. Hey, this game is f2p!

As for right now, the developer team releases constant updates for the game- keep up the good work!

I will give this game thumbs up!

Sumotori Dreams Classic

Sumotori Dreams Classic

Sumotori Dreams is perhaps a perfect example of a cult classic video game.

It has a small but very passionate player base. It’s a game about four Sumo wrestlers - the Blue Guy, Grey Guy, Brown Guy, and Green Guy. All you have to do is push the other Sumo guys over before they get you. That’s it. Usually, doing nothing is the key to victory. All with a comedic intoxicating effect. Just walking around is a challenge.

Originally released in 2007, Sumotori Dreams has endured, now with this shiny new release. In this Classic edition, it runs smoother than ever before, with everything functioning as it should - plus a very welcome addition of an in-game mod loader.

surprised this game made it on here finally, now we can enjoy the bricky sausage like limb physics.

it also comes with map modding support for people who didn’t know and looks like this version has had some work done on it to enhance it for newer specs
