Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces

Warplanes: WW1 Sky Aces

Funny enough and strangely as this sounds coming from a geriatric gamer from the 1970’s, this game is actually quite enjoyable and relaxing to play. It reminds me of fond memories of the original “Red Baron” DOS game for a PC way back then. I played many hours on that game and loved it, by today’s standards it would probably suck badly from a graphic point of view.

This is not either a world beating flight simulator or another dull dumb arcade kiddies run around, but they have managed to get something right here. The plane models are awesome and the game play brings back all those memories of the original PC game “Red Baron”

If you like a not too complicated and straight forward World War 1 Flight combat Game that allows for fast action and thinking skills and doesn’t overemphasize too much mouse click coordination, this is the game you might wish to consider. The game offers different nations, planes, and types of combat missions. There is a learning curve of course in the maintenance screens, but this is a good part of the overall strategy. No joystick needed as minimal keystrokes do the job to control the plane and you can customize to make it more challenging. For a free to play game, the graphics and options to customize and modify are really broad and the overall look and feel is great and lots of respect goes out to the game designers in crafting a simplified and enjoyable experience. Aces, get your goggles on and enjoy the dog fighting and strategic thrill of yesteryear in the 1914-1918 Era of air combat !

If you are having a map without extreme gold abusers, this game really has it.

War feels like a true war, diplomacy, production, army size and versatility, distances, infrastructure, espionage, sabotage, betrayal…

This game is extremely hard and you have to be very patient to learn it. You must find old veterans who might teach you the art of this epic game.

There are very few games which put such a challenge on your skills, depending of your role - leader of a coalition, or a member.

This game will show you your limitations quickly if you attempt to win the greatest challenge - a 500 player world map, which takes ~3-4 months to complete.

My own experience after years of playing (since it was a browser only game):

u start the game and u are too powerful in the tutorial round..u can win easily if u play a bit smart

u probably had fun so u start another round..your army is equal to other at beginning this time (which is good..things should be justified right?) and u make progress and expand..things sound alright but suddenly one nation starts to expand and progress way quicker than others..u are wondering and being amazed to see how some people play so good but things sound a bit weird at the same time..he starts attacking multiple countries and win against all of them..he is getting too strong and 2 or 3 times bigger and stronger than rest

The game has work in progress in the title so I went into it without expecting much. Now that I know how it works I’m pretty surprised. It’s good for boredom but I had some issues and I’m sure I could find more. These issues being:

1. When trying to build something if you hold f while a little too long you aren’t allowed to place the building and have to cancel and go back into the menu

2. After each round of solo at least there are at least 5 enemies stuck in their spawn

3. If artillery collapses a trench on the enemy side I’ve noticed enemies can still walk through the ground where the trench would have been and they pop up out of the ground

Is great, the building function is great although it would be nice if it could link up a bit better (trenches and tunnels).

The UI’s for building selection etc could be a little less blocky.

can’t wait to see the rest of the textures and other buildings that may appear in the future

The movement is ok, but you can really bhop.

when running it seems fin, but when you look at others its a little blocky in their movement.

i thought the use of the resources for cars, planes etc was cool idea, it make the game feel a bit more grindy in a way of you dont have to be constantly in the action, you could wander off the the map limit farm some trees, and possibly get ambushed.

Rise of Flight United

now when i got this game i didn’t understand why it had mixed reviews, i watch videos on youtube and the flight simulator community eats this game up like a fresch cherry pie, they seem to love the hell out of it and talk so highly out of it, so when i saw the mixed reviews i was kind of suprised, and didn’t undersand and now I do… now before i get too that lets get too the Pros of the game.

PROS

the pros of this game are simple, if you are a avid flight simulator player like myself you will enjoy the higher graphics the game has to offer, clean, smooth, the game has VERY nice graphics and seem to be somewhat realistic in appearence on the aircraft, the cockpits also are nicely detailed with working gauges, instroments and controls, and just like any other flight simulator getting kill after kill is addicting. damage effects are pretty spectacular too watch, peaces of wing come off, fires spread rather than just rapidly burst, props break, holes develope on the aircraft pretty much where you hit your target, very very nice… skins for the aircraft are also relatively easy too mod aside from the fact you have to have a higher setting for your editor so your skins don’t look all pixely.

Rise of Flight is a World War 1 flight sim that is a game made for flight sim enthusiast’s, thus the game tenders to a small audience and genre. The game upon start-up is a tad confusing for someone who has never really had a flight sim, but being a normal gamer I ventured into the unknown playing a quick match. After taking awhile to find the “Start Mission” button I was off.

The game is visually stunning, even for me with a relatively old gaming rig. The detail to the airplane is stunning and really helps capture the feel of playing in one of these vintage aircraft, from the seat to the gunsight everything seems authentic and comes alive as you fly around and if you have any interest in airplanes this game takes you right in.

A Diamond in the Rough

If you long for the days of old classic shooting and movement, Fadeout delivers with great potential for more. The game emphasizes movement and combat with technical skill you hardly find in modern shooters. Movement consists of basic roll-jumping and rocket jumping to more complex wall bounces and surfing with each character having their own mechanics. Weapons and health are collected on the ground emphasizing good map knowledge and rotation skills. It’s a hero shooter with the heart of Quake.

The game’s in Early Access, it’s in testing and I’ve even helped playtest it so expect this review to change. Hell, comment on it if I forget to update it when the game’s released. The game is receiving updates regularly, with major improvements to gameplay, updates to maps and graphics.

Fadeout is incredibly fun with full teams. Movement is fun and satisfying; you can dodge-roll, and jumping out of this roll has you keep momentum mid-air allowing all characters to move fairly fast. The weapons feel good to use. I wasn’t sure at first if I’d like the mechanic of picking up weapons off the ground, but part of why it works is each character has enough uniqueness that they remain distinct in spite of the weapons they grab. In fact, a lot of them have weapons so tailored to their style that you will typically want to keep that weapon and pick up extra ones depending on your strategy.

I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator

This game, in a mere 100 hours, has taken everything from me…

I have sacrificed everything I know and love, just to look at that colonel smile.

My wife left me with full custody of the kids. My parents no longer talk to me. Im a mere month away from being

Evicted by my landlord. Ive stopped working, just to play this game. This game has ruined my life, but still, I love it. That sweet sweet colonel. The story is Immersive, and a roller coaster of emotions to play through. Ever since helen left me, this has been the one thing that I still find love in. This game shields me from the cold that is this planet. More importantly, the colonel protects me from the world. The sweet colonel. I never needed helen. All I need is right here, flexing his big muscles, making his next exquisite dish, and being the man I always craved.

With stage 5 terminal cancer, the doctors told me it couldn’t be cured. I seen this game come up on my recommended list. I thought to myself “With only hours left to live, I might as well spend my time doing something I enjoy” Starting the game I was filled with immediate joy. The characters were absolutely lovable. The story line has the depth that can only be rivalled by very few AAA titles out there. Every click left me guessing “What’s going to happen next?” and “Will I get to try another one of the Colonels chicken wings of pure ecstasy?” Before I knew it, I was in the kitchen, cooking with the Colonel, helping him create Nan’s potato and gravy. It was absolute bliss!

This is more of a game of skill and a computer game in one. I have never played anything like this before. This game is addictive once you get into it and spend the first two hours actually reading the intructions and doing the training. The colors are very bright and this title is best played in the dark with the sound turned up. When you play this game it grows on you and you want more and more because what starts out as so simple in theory is very very hard in reality. This is like climbing a tree in hell that has been oiled with the souls of a weaker player. This game needs a leaderboard so players can talk smack to each other on how far they can make it. I say to give it a try and see if you manage to break something around the house after falling down and down and down again. The price point makes this game very affordable and I think we can all agree that we have spent way more on less fun and challenging titles……….give the little guys a chance.

An interesting spin on the TD-fps genre. The gameplay will keep you on your toes, and the artstyle, effects, and theming are consistent and quite good. It’s definitely an indie game, and there are a few rough spots here and there, e.g. the controls, tower placement, metal beam in the HUD, etc. That being said, the game was fun.

Side note, the current build is near-impossible. The groups of big bois are brutal and the titans are broken. But I imagine the devs will balance the game shortly

The Good Graphics are nice sound track is pretty sick and I like that they give you an active component with your builder. The bad Minions like killing your towers, you can’t be at two places at the same time and the default paths are a continent apart from each other, you have to actually physically pick up resources which despawn quickly so if your towers are killing things on the left while you’re on the right you’re getting half the resources at best, YOU HAVE TO BODY block to have any form of success, there’s not many tower choices and you can’t upgrades your towers, Minions LOVE killing your towers and some are thicc barely get frozen and are just blitzing so you have to lay sacrificial towers to appease their tower blood thirst, PLACING TOWERS IS HARD the area you can put them is very limited and you have to have a wide gap between your towers which is ANNOYING AS THE WORLD, you only have 30 very short seconds to lay towers while you try to fight with the build mode to even drop them AND THEN you have to run back to body block a path, there’s no wave counter that I noticed or any kind of stat to tell me how my towers are doing whatsoever, The Machine gun tower takes forever to start shooting like it will literally watch enemies run by then start shooting like 10-15 seconds later. Overall I think it’s a neat concept, but in my subjective opinion I can’t recommend it because I don’t think in it’s current state it’s worth the time investment to try and figure out how to win.
