Warplanes: WW1 Fighters

Warplanes: WW1 Fighters

I’ll start by saying it’s a REALLY fun game. Lots of missions, lots of planes, lots of upgrades. Well worth the price. however, there are several really annoying things about it. This is all in the campaigns.

1. planes with gunners are DUMB. I’ll line up right behind an enemy plane for him to take out, and he’s shooting way off to the side at some dumb thing in the distance. Enemy bombers RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU about to take out your base and lose you the game? That’s not a priority for him, he’s wasting ammo at a plane way off to the side in the distance. Strafing run lined up with a clean shot for him at AA guns? doesn’t matter, he wants to shoot the damn balloons until the AA guns kill you both. I don’t know what criteria is used to decide what he shoots at, but it’s way off. There’s only one plane on the screen and he’ll find one off screen to shoot at. jeez, it’s aggravating. He also likes to overheat the gun failing to lead a plane, then when it’s lined up nicely, he’s got an overheated gun and just sits there missing the clean shot. His stats are absolutely maxed out too. This is the BEST he gets.

Updated Review:

If you’re coming to this expecting a faithful sim of wrestling one of these kites through bouncy air – well that’s not what this is. That game deserves to be made, but this is something else.

While there is HOTAS support, using the default VR controller to grab a virtual stick is unique and perfectly efficient. It’s actually a very well-done control system. And.. your other hand is free to grab a flare gun. OMG the flare guns. No they’re not for just taking out barrage balloons. Tired of eating lead from a bomber’s defensive guns? Blow him up with a flare from below. Enemy fighter suddenly zooming at you and you can’t get your nose around? Quick draw that flare gun and bust one in his ass as he’s going by. It’s actually hilarious fun.

1917 - The Alien Invasion DX

1917 - The Alien Invasion DX

UPDATE DEC 2016:

As of December, 1917: The Alien Invasion has been replaced with a “DX” version that includes 3 additional levels and bosses, 3 new planes with distinct properties, and a whole ton of graphical and audio updates.

It’s 1917 and aliens have invaded earth. As Dr. Brunhield Stahlmüller, you must use your rocket-powered Tri-Plane to take the fight back to the aliens.

The game follows a pretty typical Shoot ‘Em Up model over the course of eight levels: You’ll encounter wings of smaller fighters, larger and slower opponents, stationary ground targets, and obstacles that instakill on collision. Bosses float around and spam “bullethell” patterns. You can pick up power-ups that upgrade your weapons and shields. If you have any experience with Shoot ‘Em Ups (and I’m by no means an expert) you’ll recognize the most of the mechanics right away.

It’s not particularly hard. Beatable by most non-casual gamers. Very interesting because of the bizarre but fitting art style. The game is short, so even if it’s not an amazing title, it still is very much worth the 20~30 minutes you’re going to spend on it.

Some of the background particles visually mix themselves with gameplay elements, causing unnecessary visual confusion. I feel like the game would feel much smoother if those effects didn’t feel like they’re only getting in your way instead of beautifying the scenarios.

Boom Island

It’s a good game like it play it to con a half hours, so I guess it’s good enough just wish I could fix a few things on it, but it is a good game with good change. The music a little bit. And maybe the sunset

Overall fun and interesting game. A bit rough on the edges, but is just some good all fun for the price your getting around an hour of gameplay. Overall feel of game is quite on point and music goes along nicely. Pretty entertaining game 7/10

It may be simple, but boy, is it fun. Missions 1-12 are easy and get you accustomed to the mechanics. Then, with mission 13, the real challenge begins. By mission 34, you’re taking on up to a dozen tanks at once and trying to weave through the hail of bullets. After that, the difficulty drops off, disappointingly.

I died a total of 120 times. The hardest missions were 23, 27, and 34.

Aircraft Evolution

Aircraft Evolution

Control a plane that flies towards your pointer, drops bombs and fires missiles so you can wipe out hordes of enemies.

Its a close one here, the controls work fine, its quite neat getting new planes and upgrading them, and the variety of bombs and missions is pretty solid.

but it feels a lot like a mobile game that had microtransactions and wasnt balanced quite correctly when it was ported back to PC. Things go at a fair clip through the first part of the game, but around chapter 2 the difficulty ramps up faster than your money does and you end up in a sort of grind, particularly because even with the best plane in the game your bombs never do that much damage and there are a lot of enemies.

Aircraft Evolution is a casual indie sidescrolling shooter that follows in the footsteps of the 1987 classic Wings of Fury. In my opinion fans of WOF game most likely wont be disapointed acquiring Aircraft Evolution as it does a great job at it. The gameplay of Aircraft Evolution is pretty much about bombing the living hell out of the enemies of differnt eras of the history of airplanes and fending off attacking airplanes in different missions while upgrading and buying new planes. In the current early access build the plane is controlled with the mouse and 3 keyboard keys (z,repair -x,fuel-space,speed) and its rather simple to master. The graphics are hand-drawn and really nice to behold. I bought the game for 3.99 euros and feel i got great value for the money. I’ll rate the game 8/10.

I honestly like this game!

Cant say i had high hopes for AIR Battlefront but by lengths the worst arcade flight game ive ever come by. Horrible controls that are absolutely frustrating regardless of whether its done on keyboard or with a controller. No real missions or storymode besides of just shooting down whatever moves. Pretty confident that its an asset flip as well so even if you are a great fan of this genre i can only advice you to skip this title even if at a 90% discount. 1/10.

Unfortunately. A masterpiece is becoming the commonplace work by unnecessary decoration.I would like to play original ToySoldiers1 without a bug.

I am playing Toy Soldiers and Cold War by XBLA.

Finishing of a clearance of all the difficulty all the stages except DLC of unpurchased Cold War.

A recommended reason is in the expectation for Toy Soldiers1 and Steam Workshop which are probably mounted from now on.

Then, how is Cold War?

PROS

  • Tower defence with fully 3D environments, creeps and weapon behaviors

  • Turrets are varied and use ballistics, as well as AI aiming, instead of automatic guaranteed damage outputs

  • Player can control fully fleshed out turrets or vehicles to take part in the defence, not just a gimmick

  • GI Joe/Cold War 1980s trimmings, with historical weapons and creeps and a good amount of tongue-in-cheek

  • Visuals and sound are excellent (for a game from 2011) Players can also joyfully destroy most level features, leaving levels looking war torn.
