Motherland

In this game, I liked that there is an open world as well as an interesting story.

A lot of sadness in the game is added at home - panels, which are all the same type and make you think about a lot …

A game that brings up burning topics. It is both soulful and sad, atmospheric. It’s cool that there are in-game achievements. I would also like to point out a minus: the game has problems with optimization. My computer can barely handle it.

It looks great but it only covers a very small area, its over before you know it. The graphics are very good and it shows what the dev. can achieve. I look forward to the next project but this is just too brief. I don’t recommend this title as it is but if you want to support new developers like I do then buy it, just don’t expect to stay long in the valley.

If only there were more virtual tours around the world to take from our couches.

This is a gorgeous location with nice graphics and calm music.

Volumetric lights and god rays boost the overall atmosphere.

The bokeh effect could be less intense.

The available area for exploring could be larger.

It was a relaxing experience.

Implements of Hell

I got this as soon as it was launched. I found it to be a decent horror game for the money. A must for a horror game collector, The only down side for me was it could have been a longer game to play. I finished it in over an hour as I was exploring and taking in the graphic sites etc. You could possibly complete this within 30 mins. I give the game 8/10

This is the first time I’ve left a review but felt compelled to leave one due to my utter disappointment with this game.

Now for the price paid I was under no illusions I was going to get an AAA title but for what you do get in this game or what is more like a demo is next to nothing.

Yeah there are a few jump scares in there which are pretty well done but other than that what you get is the following:

2 “Puzzles” to solve which are simple combinations that took 30 seconds to crack and coming from soneone who has the observational skills of a blind sloth.

First of all, it’s a great game. Story was wonderful, and graphics were epic. You need to improve game/system optimization and add sprint maybe :) Game map is little bit confusing. However, great job and I’m looking forward to the next game.

I thought this game was very good. I enjoyed the story. it is a short game it only took about 3 hours to complete. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something small to play and who loves puzzle/story games. Some parts were calm/peaceful and others had a little suspense. I really enjoy the main characters voice it was somewhat relaxing in a way. Great job to the creators. The graphics were beautiful.

Digital Zoo Gallery

This is a pretty amazing concept for an art gallery. There are three sections: the dinosaurs, the aquarium and the art gallery. The dinosaur exhibit was awesome, like Jurassic Park, only with added art. The jungle was lush, the dino animations were pretty cool, and it’s tied with the aquarium as my favorite.

The aquarium starts you off in a smallish exhibit room with some animated and static artworks. You can then explore the aquarium room and tunnel to your heart’s content. Honestly, this looks amazing and better than some diving games I’ve played.

Beautiful, relaxing and uplifting.

I thoroughly enjoyed spending 30 minutes exploring the 3 different areas today.

My only criticism at this stage - please add some more music for each environment; although the tracks are a very good fit, because they are short they quickly become repetitive, and even in my short visit today were starting to become irritating which really detracts from the experience. Adding just a few more tracks to each area would solve that.

I hope that you continue to expand the art and areas.

The Fortress of Varnolis

personally hate puzzles, but can appreciate the style and atmosphere which are amazing. Can see this being a perfect game for a person who loves puzzles. For that i will put this as a recommended.

The “Old school” horror game save system i hate, like losing a lot progress after failing. Literally Was looking what to do next and randomly ran out of air/breath(?) and died. This put me back another 10-20 minutes and will happen every time until i find what to do. This to me is not a fun design.

Into The Light

Into The Light

In the middle of a storm his car stops. He sees a gas station in the distance, his only hope of getting back on the road at the moment, he will try to find help at all costs. His search for help will take him where no one has ventured before.

You will have to solve puzzles while paying attention to your environment. Being curious is the key to getting to the bottom of the story.

A NARRATOR

Guided by the narrator, you will advance not without difficulty in the labyrinth that is Into The Light.

  • A universe that we hope will be interesting with an unexpected story.

  • A realistic or almost realistic design

  • Puzzles to solve in a disturbed universe

  • Original music created by Haakon Davidsen

  • A narrator who takes part in this story

Room 13

This felt more like a proof of concept than a fleshed out game, but as a proof of concept, it wasn’t too interesting. The game amounted to two escape-related challenges, the first setting up the second. I can imagine this being part of a larger stealth horror experience, but I’d recommend the developers brainstorm more novel or unique gameplay experiences, set up with a stronger storyline in mind. I’m sure I will eventually recommend the game, but not in its current state.

This felt more like a teaser demo to introduce something larger in the future. Sadly it’s not but props that developer does warn it’s a short experience of 15 minutes. I opted to refund but would recommend on sale for .49 cents.

Food for thought.

  • Walking was loud with no option to adjust.

  • Crouching to get into hiding places was super slow.

The mystery of the planet venus

Picked this up on a whim and genuinely enjoyed it.

It’s very much an indie game, it has a couple bugs and quirks but nothing game breaking. Got myself stuck in a wall at one point but all I had to do was reload the save.

The story and atmosphere were extremely interesting. I really hope the dev continues the story, but if not I’m excited to see what else they come out with.

Chionophile

Chionophile

While this game is tiny (the trailer honestly shows you most of the game) it’s stunningly pretty in a way you can’t quite define. Like other walking sims from the dev we are outside, this time in winter. Kind of like Bottle, but with a more upbeat tone and fresher graphics. It is short, especially if you use your right mouse button to act as a sort of heads up display and track down flowers and platforms quickly.

But there’s also a lot more to explore once you’ve checked all the achievements off your list. Honestly, yes, it’s short. I clocked in at 45 minutes, and I got terribly lost too. But it is also like Bottle in that you can make your own fun. Go back in and take a lovely walk in the gorgeous landscape. Let your worries go and just be.

Real player with 1.6 hrs in game

In a similar vein to “Pluviophile”, it’s a nice looking environment, but with a number of strange design choices that mar its potential to be a nice peaceful walk.

To start, there are still, for some reason, flowers that you need to pick up and take to stone circles to open the path forward. There isn’t anything inherently interesting about the mechanic, so it just detracts from the experience by arbitrating certain places where you must go, making you less inclined to explore elsewhere on your own.
