Faded Grey
Firstly, I didn’t realize this was a short promo game (that’s on me, of course, since I usually don’t read the game info before playing games). However, it still was a decent enough promo game. It definitely made me want to know more of the story. The story itself in this promo game was very brief (which is expected). The graphics are decent enough, I suppose. I did expect horror based from the user tags (which are always a hit or miss), but there isn’t any real horror, just a bit of suspense and dark themes (or a hint of a dark theme that involves possible
! incest/pedophilia, rather). So, definitely hope the next game lives up to the hype this game created.

This was a rather short game with beautiful graphics (hello? that flooring?). I didn’t understand any of it when I began. I purposely played this game without even looking at the description because I wanted to see how I’d feel while playing it. I felt extremely weirded out by all the bunnies, and skeptical of the casserole. All in all, it was short and interesting despite it’s simple controls and minimal dialogue. It seriously left me craving more of this story. I feel like the more I learned, the more I needed to know.

Yuha’s Nightmares
Yuha’s Nightmares
This is a simulation game about the nightmares that our main character Yuha suffers from. The primary goal of the player is to explore the surrealistic world that is full of strange things and unexpected events. The deeper part of Yua’s consciousness is depicted through the «flip side» of the 3d world. You will frequently get stuck in textures, see through mesh and wander around at every level in «inappropriate» places. The glitches in the game are accordingly integrated to make for an intense and exciting gameplay experience. «Yuha’s Nightmares» is a balanced combination of thriller, drama and comedy.
Who is Yuha?
Yuha is the virtual counterpart of the game developer Yuliya Kozhemyako. Yuha creates games, takes part in modern art exhibitions and feminist movements but does have some bad habits. Her body and form sometimes look like a polygon mesh and change textures.
Episode one: The Catastrophe
In this episode, Yuha is in a hurry to collect all her belongings so as to leave her crumbling house. Perhaps, her house is not the only thing getting destroyed, but rather the whole world? Even so what if there is a safe and secure place somewhere out there?

おんがくしつ / MUSIC ROOM
Nice job forcing a player to wander around a samey, winding, long-ass school for the introductory sequence. Really sets the mood and doesn’t at all make it seem like extended BS gameplay in a veiled attempt to manipulate time limit and avoid refunds.

The short version: Don’t spend your money, it will take you longer to read this review than to ‘beat’ the game.
I was hoping the other reviews were exaggerating how short the gameplay was. I was REALLY hoping.
I was wrong.
This game would make for a great free demo or POC. Sadly, I spent the $3 US to play it - I feel it only delivers $0.03 value.
The graphics are pretty good. The sound design is kinda poor - reverb effects are baked into sounds and cut short, rather than baked into the environment (like the hallway, for example).

Pombero - The Lord of the Night
dope

Pombero The Lord of the Night is a great first game for a brand-new indie studio. While the game is still a bit rough on some areas and could definitely use some more polish (specially with the occasional crash and in the second act), the game still pulls through and gives a good escape-the-roomesque experience with some decent atmospheric horror factors. Despite relying a bit too heavily on jump scares to the point that they start becoming slightly predictable fairly early into the game, Pombero still manages to deliver a couple of good scares bound to catch the average gamer unaware.

THE CORRIDOR
Incredibly simple concept for a game that manages to not only create different puzzles to solve but also leading you on a fun and quirky adventure to push every last button out of spite for the narrator. If you’ve ever played The Stanley Parable, this is a game that’ll bring back fond memories and create new ones that you’ll love to go back to! From going rogue and disobeying the narrator, to meeting a cardboard man with a cardboard plan, there’s bound to be something that brings a smile to your face and gets you laughing and having a good time! Highly recommended, honestly one of the funnest games I’ve played in awhile and it really deserves a chance!

Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist

P.S (TOO IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO NOT HAVE REGRETS BUT CONTAINS A LITTLE SPOILER)

梦乡 The Dreamcatcher
This game is a bit hard to follow in terms of story, BUT - the story that I interpreted was a well-crafted one. If you are looking at this game as a horror game, I suggest you stop looking. This isn’t a game to expect to piss your pants on. The story is fairly linear from what I have gathered, although there was one part of the game that I never got to explore near the end. The graphics are plenty good, and considering this is the only game I even know of that came from this developer, I give it a 7/10

I think the game’s a bit monotonous and hard to understand.

so i figured a game for $3.99 can’t be very good. well, was i wrong! one of the best games i’ve played at any price, not based on anything but story and ending. those two things were perfect!
controls are very very simple, graphics ok. it took me 2.7 hours to finish, but i’m old, so….
there are a very few shock scares in the game, which actually gave me chills, once went all the way through me. if you pay attention to the subtle clues in the game, i’m sure you could finish it faster than i did.

Implements of Hell
I got this as soon as it was launched. I found it to be a decent horror game for the money. A must for a horror game collector, The only down side for me was it could have been a longer game to play. I finished it in over an hour as I was exploring and taking in the graphic sites etc. You could possibly complete this within 30 mins. I give the game 8/10

This is the first time I’ve left a review but felt compelled to leave one due to my utter disappointment with this game.
Now for the price paid I was under no illusions I was going to get an AAA title but for what you do get in this game or what is more like a demo is next to nothing.
Yeah there are a few jump scares in there which are pretty well done but other than that what you get is the following:
2 “Puzzles” to solve which are simple combinations that took 30 seconds to crack and coming from soneone who has the observational skills of a blind sloth.

Thing-in-Itself
I was absolutely, completely certain that I had already written a review about this game..
Every review talks about Kant, but I don’t even know who he is, so let’s get to the other aspects.. ahah
The game itself sells at 2,50€, at least in the Euro zone, and actually it’s quite a high price for such a short game. It can be long and a little bit frustrating if you want to achieve every ending and explore every dialogue, but nothing more than two hours overall.. from my achievements' page you can see that it took my around 80-90 minutes to get all the 10 achievements, which aren’t that easy to get actually.. and as before, I was 100% sure that I followed a Steam guide to get the last two achievements but there are no guides as of today O.o Anyways you can figure everything out and look for some threads in the forum or on the Internet :)

Party for Introverts developed this visual journey (they say before it starts that this is not a game experience but an ‘informative short story’) based upon the German Philosopher Immanuel Kant’s concept known as ‘Thing-in-Itself’.
What is the ‘Thing-in-Itself’? Kant theorised that material objects don’t exist in the way we see them, instead we use our own viewpoint to shape our perspective of the object.
The ‘journey’ starts off sharing this idea during a bedtime chat between Molly & Ted where Molly uses the theory to explain why they disliked the music at a party yet everyone else enjoyed it. What follows afterwards is shown from Ted’s perspectives.

Inmates
Psychological horror adventure set in an abandoned prison block featuring jump scares, boxes of matches, bare-chested bald men with matrix-glitching head shakes, and an endless array of identical filthy toilet bowls.
This is a first-person walking sim where you have to find your way around a seemingly abandoned prison complex searching for clues to trigger cutscenes and reveal the next portion of the game. If you’re familiar with this genre it will hold no surprises for you, it’s pretty standard stuff.

Had my doubts, but got surprised how good this game actually is
The story is decent, there is some form of narrative story telling with some cutscenes. Very nice.
The puzzles are not completely over the top, as long you don’t think too complex. It might look complex, but it’s more simplistical then you would expect. And to think about it, some of those puzzles are very nicely done! Impressive!
The atmosphere is good, had to put back my socks a few times. Dark, but you got matches!
Animation… Well, not that great but for the purpose of the game, it’s good enough.
