Vlad Voievod Dracula. Episode 1 Manhunt

Vlad Voievod Dracula. Episode 1 Manhunt

The events take place during the first ascension to the throne of Vlad III Tepes, the historical Dracula. He claims his throne from the hands of Basarab, who murdered his father, tortured and killed his brother. In front of Dracula’s army, Basarab abandons his throne and flees to Transylvania to save his life, but Dracula takes his best warriors to hunt him down personally.

The game is a slow-paced tactical action-puzzle platformer, where you need to discover and correctly execute the most efficient or interesting strategy. You won’t overcome the obstacles too easily if you don’t give it some thought first. Your main sword attack is not very powerful, and you can’t take on all your enemies head-on. Some are faster than you, and more powerful, so you need to learn their timing, their patterns and movements and strategise your actions accordingly. You’ll need to wisely use the few sub-weapons at your disposal, and sometimes engage in duels. Learn to back down when needed, and strike merciless when the opportunity arrives.

So buckle up and take control of one of the coolest villains in history in his manhunt for judgement and revenge. Use skill and cold-blooded planning to crush the enemies beneath your feet just to raise them back up in pales. Pick up the sword, and let the manhunt begin!

Janosik 2

Janosik 2

Janosik 2 is a continuation of the story put in motion by the first game. The famed Slovakian highlander and robber Janosik just finished a quest to rescue his comrades and is now on the path to defeat even more enemies – both mythical and historical. This time around, it’s not the band of brothers that’s missing, but rather Janosik himself. Caught with an ingenious ruse, our hero must rescue himself, his beloved and make new friends on the way.

STORY

Accompany Highlander Janosik, Bogdan the Werewolf and a cloak-wrapped Vampire as they explore the dark and trap-filled castle von Zur, house to the nefarious kidnapper Baron. Trek through dense mountain forests that are home to feral dogs, headless skeletons and more, all bent on making your life harder. Bear in mind though, that there might be something even more sinister waiting for you at the end of the journey…

A bigger adventure

Three new chapters, each one bigger and filled with even more gameplay than the whole original Janosik game - and filled to the brink with new characters, enemies and environmental threats and traversal options

These Walls Were Meant to Be Broken

For the first time ever, use the powerful club of Bogdan the Vampire to smash walls to smithereens and enter places formerly off-limits

Die, Die and Repea…die Again

Lightning quick reflexes, good muscle memory and thinking two steps ahead will sadly - not be enough to finish Janosik in one sitting. But at least the checkpoints are plentiful and restarts - instanenous

Is This A Joke to You?

A highlander, a vampire and a werewolf enter a dungeon… and emerge - hopefully - with the Highlander’s rescued bride while meeting, fighting and defeating everyone and everything that stands in your way

Scenes That Cut

Enjoy the short breaks in an exhilarating experience by admiring the cutscenes that signify important events of Janosik, beautifully presented in all their full, 100+colors, hand-drawn and animated glory. You wil never skip a cutscene featuring a mountable sheep again

Get Collecting

The legend says Janosik robbed the rich to give to the poor. Janosik 2 makes good on that first part, with a real dearth of treasures, coins, diamonds and other precious stones to grab from the coffers of the manacing and power hungry villains of the game

Castlevania Anniversary Collection

Castlevania Anniversary Collection

I purchased this title when it was on a discount and I believe that’s how everyone should go about getting this collection.

It’s clear that not a lot of time was spent on making this package. It’s very basic, there’s only one available save slot for every game, the default 4:3 resolution is too small and the other options won’t give you anything close to what is possible on a normal emulator. That said, it’s not a terrible collection either. It’s just meh. So why the recommendation? Well, as I said, I got the game during a price drop for €4.99. This makes recommending the game a lot easier, less so for its standard pricing.

I forgot how frustrating some of these Castlevania games can be…. but that’s all part of the fun right? 😁

Konami also included Kid Dracula, a game I’ve never heard of before playing this collection but was actually kinda fun.

The only thing I can nitpick about this collection (as well as the Contra one) is the fact that you have to use ALT+Enter to fullscreen and ALT+F4 to exit.

Dracula: Vampires vs. Zombies

Dracula: Vampires vs. Zombies

Good bow mechanics, good take on waves with addition of rescues, powerups, enemies and most importantly - just fun to play! Stay for a quick play or stay for a while, it’s all good. The pace is frantic but manageable and satisfying. I’d love more cotent but what is there has replay value. Thumbs up!

Not just another bow and arrow game! Its stupidly addictive and well made, the pace and variety is perfect. Working through the city is well worth the effort to make it to the forrest and instead of feeling like a chore like a lot of other similar games, you cant put the controllers down because you have to have one more go. The voice overs are brilliant, feels like an 80s film that can make fun of itself. Im sure there will be more levels to come, the devs seem to be pretty active and want feedback.
