Natural Locomotion

Natural Locomotion

Amazing software, I originally used it for implementing Controller based locomotion (the default in say Pavlov) in head based locomotion only games like VRChat. I did that for over a year and required very very specific settings on Vive Wands, later on Index controllers I had to change a few values and got the same result. For a long time it was difficult because it took me a long time to get it to work without having to actively move my hands in 3D space, I’d set locomotion to both joystick/touchpad with Steam rebinding so I could lower my chance of getting joystick drift, but this app only let me apply it to either the touchpad or joystick, not both at the same time.

The answer to motion sickness.

I suffer horrendously from dizziness / motion sickness. Boats = ill. Planes = ill. Passenger in a car = ill. Get out of a chair slightly too fast = ill. (You get the idea). So whilst I’m fine in teleportation based games such as Arizona Sunshine, using the joystick to move around in Zero Caliber VR / TWD: Saints & Sinners made me feel ill within 2 minutes, and left me groggy for the rest of the day.

The only solution I could find was “jUsT gEt YoUr Vr LeGs”. _

HANDMADE CARPROGRAM

HANDMADE CARPROGRAM

Develop software with fun, game-like programming.

With this application, there’s no need for you to know any technical terms.

You’ll set up things like houses and tools, without using hardly any words, just like a simulation game.

This becomes an act of programming, and as a result, you’ll be able to develop software.

“Programs are toys.”

You may wonder what it means to think like a program.

Some people might even see the word in English and scream “Ahhhh! English!!! Run awaaay!!”

In that case, why not think of it as “playing with building blocks (programing)” instead?

The block structure you make runs as software. The only resource you need is this application.

I’ll say it once more.

“Programs are toys.”

Now’s your chance to assemble some toys.

This isn’t simply a program (toy).

This isn’t simply a game.

Through this toy (game), you can develop software.

Once you’ve developed something, you can use the attached CARPEXECUTABLE.exe (HANDMADE CARPEXECUTABLE)

(It is in the [C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\HANDMADE CARPROGRAM\CARPROGRAM] folder) to execute your creation, and even distribute it to others.

(“Sample” is in it.)

(Icon is able to be changed too)

Create games and software of your own imagining by thinking outside the box, and then release them out into the world.

Note: CARPEXECUTABLE.exe (HANDMADE CARPEXECUTABLE) that comes as part of these files is able to be redistributed on its own. Icon changes are also possible.

You can also make image files of your creations and show them to others to receive praise.

You’re welcome to use this product for videos and livestreams!!

(Though I’m sorry to ask it, please do so responsibly.)

HELI

HELI

Sadly, you have to add me to the users who couldn’t play the game, even though this was the one VR app I REALLY wanted (I love Eurocopter/Airbus and I fly an H-135 in another flight sim as a form of meditation). But I hadn’t noticed the specific list of headsets that were supported. I have Windows Mixed Reality (newest Asus) and I can’t even get the menu to display, plus the frame rate is horrible and I wasn’t able to do almost anything. I am able to play all my other VR games I’ve bought from Steam just fine, but not this one. Had to request return.

So you may be asking yourself, what the hell is this HELI game? It’s really not a game at all. It has three different apps. Each app deals with exploring New York City.

1. Guided 360 Helicopter Tours of New York. The video quality is not the best I have ever seen, but still it’s pretty good. I enjoyed the tours of the five different sites. They are short tours, but you get nice aerial views of the popular tourist spots. The tours include 5 different spots: Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center, Empire State Building, Central Park, and East River (i.e. Manhattan Bridge). You basically circle around each one. You can see things far off in the distance and since you’re in high altitude, the people will look like ants. I had never seen New Yourk in this way (and I’ve never personally visited), but I found the VR tours enjoyable. You are seated in an empty helicopter and I guess you can pretend you’re flying the helicopter (if you try really hard to imagine it, lol)

Cmoar VR Cinema

Cmoar VR Cinema

Wow finally…. A good and complete VR CInema program!

One of the biggest reasons I bought my Oculus Rift CV1 was because I loved to watch movies in VRcinema 3d back at the DK1 days, but when I bought the CV1, I saw VR Cinema 3d was no longer able to download and not optimzed for new VR headsets like the Oculus CV1 and the HTC Vive. For that my quest to a new VR cinema started, and I haved used Bigscreen, VorpX Movie mode, (which is actually quite good, but its not a cinema experience), Oculus Video, and even Cineveo, but neither of them gives me the quality and immersive feeling of a real cinema as this!

One word. Awesome.

I had the oportunity to beta test this program a couple of days ago and was very impressed with the potential. There were a few things that needed to be addressed to make it really great and I reported those suggestions to the devs. the final version has now been released and every suggestion that I thought of has been completely addressed in this released version. I am more than impressed with the quick development response from the devs.

I am using an HTC Vive. The provided environments are very good. There is a movie theater, a home cinema, a boat view and a void environment. The movie theater is my favorite and it really makes me feel like I am in a theater. There a 3 different seat positions to choose from depending on whether you want to be in the front of the theater, the middle or in the back. I always like to sit towards the back when I go to the real theater and the back position in the virtual cinema felt like a perfect distance for me. The light from the movie screen reflects back into the theater in a very convincing fashion. The video playback quality is excellent, especially when you play back a quality source.

MOENTO - Modular Environment Toolkit

MOENTO - Modular Environment Toolkit

Let me start by saying that this is one of my favorite games at the moment.

I think we all have times when we just don’t know what to play, or you just want to relax and not play CS:GO against spinbotter… This is the game that fills this gap.

I randomly saw this game and instantly fell in love with the assets.

In the beginning it was a little hard to get an overview of all the buttons, but they were all pretty self understanding. After I played a little around I started working on a house. And let me tell… it is SO SATISFYING to do build anything in this game… the animations are on spot 3 I posted it on the Discord of bblessed Gamestudios and the Developer loved it… so sweet.

This is really, really awesome. Once you get used to the controls and how to work things, you can throw together pretty much anything. I give this game a 10/10

MY WOLF - Desktop Wild Pet

MY WOLF - Desktop Wild Pet

The game is passive, meaning it plays in the background on your desktop in negative space automatically. It adds a lot of fun to downtime staring at my desktop, that is now live with a virtual pet! He’s with me for all my research, my work, and when I sign off for the night. The wolf grows on me, as I follow them around endlessly through the fields.

A great virtual companion for PC users. Great for people who like classic or creative desktops or screensavers. Makes Windows desktop a game itself. I hope for more updates and content, I hope for custom wolves too.

Real player with 1102.3 hrs in game

Surprisingly good and rather cute! This has the potential for a lot of promise.. No sound yet etc but it runs really well.. And now my wolf is getting older, he takes longer to stand up, can’t be bothered to chase the toys as much! He also learned to run from bears instead of try and fight, he can now defeat hostile wolves, got himself a playmate.. Even starts bugging me if i haven’t given him enough mouse pointer attention! It’s working across my weird three screen setup, not perfectly due to the FOV but that’s more my fault, as the main one is 4K and the others are 1080p.. But on a 1080 Ti its running rather well like that! For the cost and hopefully more development i’d recommend it! This has some great potential to be really interesting. Encountered the odd stuck bug but just restart it and its fine.. Be good if you could have more than one wolf though or an entire pack! :D An option to toggle slightly fancier graphics would be nice, maybe a ‘fix’ for people running weird screen setups? And as i type my wolf has done a poop and is now chasing off a hostile one! I need to stop watching it so much…

Virtual Home Theater Video Player

Virtual Home Theater Video Player

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet. As you see from my over 300 hours of usage that I use this exclusively. I purchased this when it was more expensive and never regretted it. I never got it for the audio aspect although it is impressive. I got it for the 3D movie playback. The MAIN thing that drove my interest is that I did not have to use my controllers at all. I could do everything I wanted with the mouse. Trust me this is way more relaxing. I have had many many email conversations with Aurel the developer about features and getting help. I don’t think it is possible to get someone nicer and more hard working. I have had a number of suggestions that without hesitation were implemented in updates. I know there are more things to come as well so if you are on the fence, get this and you won’t be sorry

The only app that can play non head locked surround sound video with hardware decoded video, i tested it against all other players (deovr, whirligig, big screen etc), only virtual desktop come close (with it’s virtual sound drivers enabled), but still not as good, lots of parameters in VHT that you can adjust to your own like.

Of course the complicated and let’s be honest, rather ugly, GUI is the draw back. I would love the 3D model cinema enviroment (best ones are those in virtual desktop workshop),
