Quixer

Quixer

I’ve used this for precisley 27 seconds and realized it’s one of the greatest things ever… In fact: Steam is literally telling me “You need to have used this product for at least 5 minutes before posting a review for it (1 minutes on record)”

Given the fact that I’m on the computer a lot - web apps, windows apps, discord, youtube, vlc… All of these things together become a nightmare to equalize their levels on the fly, and windows is of little help. When I simply held ctrl then adjusted volume for the app I was in… Game changer.

On launch Quixer added that functionality that windows should have offered allowing the user to set up hotkey to increase, decrease, or mute the volume of the currently open program.

Since then (in less then a month) the regular updates have changed this from a simple (and great looking) fix of missing windows functionality, into a legitimately powerful tool for controlling audio.

Fianlly! I can listen to Bassdrive and play CS:GO with with Raybeem streaming some visuals for me. It works very well for me. Raybeem by itself is nuts. If this is where VR is headed then I’m down for the ride.

I’ve tested it with some games and other applications. The tool is easy to use and easy to adapt to the different applications. The recordings work quickly and properly.

For me, it makes the gaming experience even more real.

Clearly an innovation!

I am using this app for a while now and I have to say, this is the best voice app I ever used.

Yes, it is not the cheapest one, but it’s worth it.

The developer releases constant updates and listens to the wishes of the community.

Finally an App which is not using any preprogrammed words.

I like that I can use my own words.

After recording I have simply connected the words/commands with multiple keyboard buttons and that’s it! I was ready to play within 5Minutes, without writing skripts.

Quality is great, ease of use once mastered is no problem. Fast flexible options.

Great product, cant’t wait for more updates that make things even better.

Now I can finally watch all my stereoscopic photographs in mpo format full size in the VR headset and without the need for readjustment. That alone justifies the price for me.

Boot Camp Fitness

Boot Camp Fitness

First of all I’d like to commend the developer for putting the time and effort in on creating this program. I used to use Fitness programs several years ago in Xbox and Wii (such as Yourself Fitness), and I have been longing for something similar for the PC. So well done!

Some aspects of the game, such as the interface and resolution feel very basic and rushed, but given the price it is a very good deal.

Overall the game does what it states, as it provides complete exercise sessions divided into three difficulties. You have the option to customize the kind of exercise that you want (e.g. disable strength training, enable abs training), even though this could have been more detailed. Also, you can set the duration of the session. Finally, the soundtrack is excellent and well suited to this kind of program.

Hey everyone and this is my review about the game!

This is a home workout game.

Interface/Menu/Settings

  • There are no resolution sizes available.

  • You can increase the resolution size by dragging the borders of the game window.

  • Only windowed mode.

  • The game has no advanced graphics and the graphics are simple.

  • There is no color blind mode.

VR Photo Viewer

VR Photo Viewer

Great for viewing stereo 3D .mpo files! Thank you very much.

Feature requests:

Could there be an option to turn the grey room to black? It would feel more immersive I bet.

Is there a way for the user to scale down the .mp0 files? Some of them are so huge in your field of view that it’s overwhelming. Maybe an up/down slider on the controller somewhere?

Thanks again…keep up the good work!

Displays normal photos but if I try to load my 360X180 shots, it goes black. And since I bought this software to view the orbs I´m editing, I find it very expensive and useless…

Update:

Got a quick response from the developer that identified the problem and got it to work… It looks amazing and helps alot when I´m editing and going over my 360x180 orbs… Thanks again… =)

Dry Erase: Infinite VR Whiteboard

Dry Erase: Infinite VR Whiteboard

I use Dry Erase for maths work. Using this program to derive maths, whilst listening to music, is almost zen like. It’s amazingly calming and strangely fulfilling.

For my professional work, its proved useful for a few technical meetings, checking derivations and discussing engineering issues. The interface is simple, but its incredible useful being able to scroll for ever and use different colour pens to highlight different things. Shame its not multiplayer, but I guess we can’t have everything.

Review of Dry Erase: Infinite VR Whiteboard

============================================

First and foremost, this is worth the money at its current state regardless of any following critiques. If you are in need of a whiteboard VR app that lets you focus free of distractions, this is the one for you. I have used it already to create videos explaining complex topics I deal with professionally, and I see several hundreds/thousands of hours more. I’m not going to get into the technical bits of the app itself (at least not too much). Let’s focus on how this helps someone like me who is easily distracted, a visual person, and someone who needs the proper environment to conceptualize and communicate complex abstract ideas.

Piecewise: build chat bots with blocks

Piecewise: build chat bots with blocks

Despite being a solo dev, the developer of this software really knows what their fans want. On Friday, I had burned my hand with flaming oil and stayed eight straight hours in a neglectful “healthcare” facility that took eight hours to bandage my recently singed flesh. This left me with very limited use of my left hand, thus rendering me unable to make a chat bot by coding as it requires two hands to type. But with Piecewise, I can drag blocks onto blocks with just my mouse. This hero of a developer kept their clientele in mind, and made it so this software could easily be used with one hand. Obviously this was designed for people with limited mobility such as myself, as I cannot think of any other reason why this software should be used with one hand. These design choices lead me to believe that there is still hope left for humanity, 10/10.

I got this because I have a really low ceiling. I’m 5'7" and my ceiling is 6'4". so the ceiling is pretty much right above my head. I opened the program to find that there were no settings and I only had 3 boxes I could move. So I made a big wide box and put it above my head and the BLARING SOUNDS made me close the program every single time I wanted to play vr. BUT then I took the plunge and looked through the .xml files for settings. (You have to use the one with a room id!!!) I turned off sound, and found a setting for ceiling height so I didn’t have to put a haphazardly placed box above my head. After doing that this program is a must have for me and I love it. Also the impact prediction is also amazing and has saved me from many collisions in Boneworks. Save your controllers and get this if you have a low ceiling!!!

Because windows mixed reality software is god awful, you can’t adjust any of the chaperone settings its either they are ON or OFF. You can’t adjust the activation distance or anything. I play in a very small area with a bed in front of me and a 70 inch desk on the other side behind me. This program is perfect because it lets me put an invisible wall behind me where my desk is so I know where I am facing in vr. If I see the invisible box outline I just simply turn away so I don’t risk slamming my desk. Perfect for people who don’t want to use guardians but still want to prevent themselves from hitting things. It would be cool if the dev can make a “fake steam vr guardian” that can be manually placed around your room and adjusted like the crates which would be fully adjustable with activation distances and everything. Would be really helpful for Windows Mixed Reality users who have limited ability to change stuff like that in mixed reality portal.
