ANYEK - The Keyboard Puzzle
Very cool and cute concept for a game! Currently there are some minor spelling issues (for example in lv. 20 it says “gices” instead of “gives”, and some level in the beginning (which I can’t remember unfortunately) is missing a T in a word, but I’m sure the developer would take care of these minor issues and fix them.
Aside of this, the game is really cute and fun, makes you really think in some levels - I like it a lot. Not 100% done yet, but really enjoying it so far.
Would recommend.

JPN Burst
If you’re already familiar with Hiragana and Katakana and feel like you still mess up sometimes and want something to practice with. This is a good way to do it. I was feeling rusty on katakana so I grabbed this to do some drills and then went ahead and cleared out the hiragana sets as well. The one annoying thing was that everytime you beat a lesson/test it sends you back to the menu to select between school/home/whatever books you’ve bought instead of just bringing you back to the page you had been before.

A good Japanese learning game/software. I got it for free and I don’t know anything about Japanese language. Within an hour, I gained my basic knowledge about Japanese language and letters. The game is fairly challenging and will actually help you think harder, hence it will actually exercise your brain muscle about the language.

On Key Up: A Game for Keyboards
So now that the game has received all 24 levels and i went and redid the old ones(since they were all reset showing 1h in-game records but i had also wanted to try them all again anyways…) as well as did the six new ones from the latest update, and have 100%’d the achievements like… is this my 3rd time now? At least second. Glad i won’t have to do this ever again, enough Vietnam flashbacks gained by now. ;3 After all of this(and according to steam this new session of mine took about 3,7 hours, i know i most certainly haven’t played twice during the past 2 weeks :P)… i think it’s appropriate that i finally give this game a small review.

Nihongo Heroes
coming from someone that is N5 qualified and working on N4
1 its a good game
2 please dont give the answers for the vocabulary for EX the vocab at the top is written as blue/ao – stomach/i – train station/eki i think having the answer for the vocab is taking away from learning the word
3 all the monsters make the same sound when you kill them
its a good over all game my main complaint is the vocab giving the answers

This is one one of many games/resources I have for learning and practicing Nihongo. I ran through the first three levels and am impressed. What is great is that it does not use one consistent font for the kana - because they do look different to the untrained eye, as do any letters in a particular “font.” This adds a level of flexibility to the process of learning which is useful when some kana bear resemblance to others in different scripts.
I played about five hours of Japanese learning games today, between mobile and steam. This one was the last one of the night, and the perfect end to a educational night!

Dead Letter Dept.
After moving to the big city, you got yourself an apartment, and secured a temp data entry job- just to keep you afloat till something better comes along. Your official title is a Data Conversion Operator, but you’re really more like a warm body who types up all the junk computers still can’t read.
DAY TO DAY, you go to work & process the images displayed on your terminal, and type up whatever text is in front of you. Whatever can be made out, that is. Letters and lost mail, some mangled and twisted, that have travelled from place to place with nowhere else to go. Sometimes the mail you receive is a little strange. Sometimes, it feels like it’s talking to you directly through the screen.
DEAD LETTER DEPT. is a short horror game mystery experience, where you use your computer keyboard to type in various prompts, and attempt to decipher damaged images as oddities begin to appear.
Mouse & Keyboard are REQUIRED.
A keyboard with Function Keys and Control Keys (Insert, Page Up/Page Down) is strongly recommended.

This is a fun way to improve your Words Per Minute (WPM) typing skills. I like the cartoonish graphics, Japanese-themed music, and silly comments from the sensei. Check out my gameplay:
