Blue Flame
Ever since my first Iron Pineapple video, I have been snatching up and playing almost every souls-like game that looks worth my time. Heard about Blue Flame. Googled Blue Flame, but nothing came up. Googled Blue Flame Twitter, found an Adult Entertainment twitter profile. Looked through it. Realized I wasn’t in incognito. Cleared my browser history and came to Steam properly.
Added this baby to my wishlist only to realize that it was releasing the next day. Release sale, 20% off, under 10 bucks. Dev diary says game’s about 3-4 hours with about 7 bosses and more content is coming. Can always refund it if bad… It’s Friday, let’s play games.

This game is a souls experience for sure. Main problem is that it was too easy. Fuck the maze tho, that was just not a great experience, im not buying a maze game. That being said tho, was not too bad took maybe 40 mins of running around. Only had problems with the Harypys, all the bosses pretty much was a first try. Game seems too short too. Overall not too bad, but the lack of players that own the game and the smallest community I have ever been in makes it a problem to even google anything about the game. Wait for sale tho becuse, the game is 4-5 hours and you must likely wont be playing it more then once or twice. I hope the devs add more stuff and maybe a Wiki for the important things like achivements and a small guide for getting stuck on directions despite it being a souls like. 1 thing they could add is more options in the settings menu and maybe a ng+

Trident’s Wake
Wonderful cooperative action game, I have had many hours of fun frying aliens with friends, customizing my sentinels, unlocking special abilities and improving my weapons.
The game is in early access and I assumed that it could have many bugs, but after play it on a friend’s PC, I saw that it is perfectly playable and I loved it. I bought it last week and I have played around 30 hours (be careful guys, it’s really powerful).
The sounds of the shots are wonderfully well done and the lighting is well enough adapted to generate some suspense and mystery but allowing fluid combats.

I’m recommending this game because on the base level, the game is playable and easy to pick up and play, however the game has been left in a bit of a broken state and is no longer supported by the dev team according to their discord , so any glitches, bugs or texture issues you may come across while playing the game may not be fixed or patched in the future.
That said, the game is a simple twin-stick shooter where you play as a Robotic soldier called a “Sentinel” tasked with clearing out the “Trident”, a type of “ark” that holds human embryos and Humanity’s last hope for survival amidst an alien invasion. you can play solo or with a group of 4 to fight through and take back control of 4 different sectors on the ship before moving on to the final “Strike Back” phase where you activate the Trident’s defense turrets and fight off the alien attackers.

I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT!!!1
I highly recommend this game if your looking for a good twin stick shooter that won’t take much of your time. From playing the Xbox 360 version to now the Steam I can tell you that this game hold up very well. What makes it better that it is a free experience so if you don’t enjoy it you just have to uninstall. When you get a chance definitely take some time into playing it.

FINALLY. This was easily one of my favorite games back on Xbox Arcade. It’s not that it’s a huge game. To be fair it’s a chaotic mess, but it’s so much fun. The soundtrack meshes perfectly with the gameplay too and was well worth the $1 cover charge the game used to require. Hopefully “I MAED A S0NG W1TH Z0MBIES 1N IT” makes it’s way to Steam soon as well since we can have soundtracks now. The only thing that could make this game better is more of it but for a bite sized 10 minute adventure this one is hands down one of the best.

Renegade Ops
Top down game Like no other.
I would say that renegades ops is one of those games that come once in a very long while and go unoticed, I remember purchasing it with a bundle with other games and never played it, until one day I was really bored and starting checking the games that I havn’t played, and so I clicked on it and was ………. pretty impressed!.
with it’s cartoonish simple catchy story line to the amount of details and physics in the cars and combat, everything is well done and goes along together well.

Renegade Ops is a classic styled vehicle-based top-down twin-stick shooter, where we have to defeat enemies coming at us in overwhelming numbers through mission by mission, while successfully completing objectives, such as rescuing civilians or collecting certain items. Unlike its predecessors the game does a good job simulating 3D by using slopes and elevation differences. The game is a successor to the Jungle Strike games from 1993 to an extent that at some points we can even switch our vehicle to an attack helicopter. The game is enjoyable, but comes with some very annyoying bugs. It was part of a free SEGA bundle at some point (with both DLCs included, so I’m going to mention those as well).

Ultra Bushwick
This game is awesome! No boring moments; to pay the rent you need to keep it moving! & The art style is really cool!
– Real player with 16.9 hrs in game
Wow. Really fun and visually stunning for a 5 dollar game. Killer pixel art, but with so much on screen its a little tough to find the enemy’s in the chaos. A simple outline of the enemy’s would help. Otherwise this game rocks, and is well worth the asking price. This was made by one guy? Hell I have played TS games that were made by a huge team of programmers and were not nearly as fun, one guy made this? Good job man.

Ritual: Crown of Horns
Summary: While Ritual may be in need of some quality of life improvements in certain areas, its fast-paced action-packed and strategic gameplay mixed with a metal soundtrack and varied weapons and abilities, create a difficult yet fun and engaging take on the Wild West. 8/10

Plot:
The writing is not a case of being a masterpiece but they certainly do the job, creating engagement and intrigue throughout. The characters bounce off each other reasonably well, with them often questioning each other or even outright annoying or teasing one another. It is unfortunate however that one doesn’t get nearly as much dialogue like that of the others, but regardless character design works. There is no mistaking the plot plays second to the gameplay in Ritual, never the less for those who are looking for a decent story in amongst all the carnage, there is an interesting one to be found here.

When it comes to top-down shooters, nothing beats tangling it up with hordes of monsters and all you have a six-shooter and pure luck. These are the kind of games that are exciting, fast-paced, and 100% rage-inducing. Ritual: Crown of Horns, from small indie studio Draw Distance, checks all the boxes.
Stylistically, this is a nice looking game. The art style heightens the grim landscape that we find our protagonist, Daniel Goodchild in. The music, a bold mix of heavy raw guitar and western-inspired melodies, only adds to the chaos that we’re about to dive into. Unfortunately, those two important elements are sometimes not enough to ease the frustrating aiming system and the unnecessarily hard stages you must clear.

ROGUE SHIFT
I’m having fun with this game, the why is a bit harder to describe.
But I think it boils down to having a good mixture of intense moment, fast gameplay (that’s sometimes a bit chaotic but still fair), a highscore board I’m trying to beat and enough variation in term’s of enemies, weapon’s, weapon upgrade’s, perk’s and psionics (special abilities) that the game remains interesting.
And when playing together (upto 4 player together) this get cranked to 11 (maybe even 12-13).
Having said all that, the game is still rough and in development, it could really do well with more content, even more perks, weapon upgrade’s some more weapons and a bit more map variety. But the developer is actively working on this and is listening to feedback and acting on idea’s, so I only imagine it will become even better with time, so I got high hopes for it.

Disclaimer: Im the artist for the game so possibly biased :P
However saying that this is loads of fun and only going to improve to version 1.
With hints of Crimsonland and Risk of rain and with multiple game modes and maps and more upcoming it can only get better. Its already a very fun polished experienced, and with now being in EA i honestly feel the user feedback will push the game even further with ideas that even we haven’t thought of. There is a very solid base of a game with lots of potential.
