Brilliant wee game!
The progression is done really well. New enemies and abilities are dealt to you at a nice pace and the ways to counter them are intuitive. The game brings in new situations and changes dynamics with each new chapter, which keeps it fresh and builds upon your existing knowledge. It has a really unique concept I haven’t seen in any game before with the Kaleidoscope but still has a really retro feel. Like arcade games of old!
Plus the soundtrack is amazing, not distracting but really sets the mood and keeps you in the zone!

Space Cows
I wouldn’t suspect games filled with fart jokes and smurf-level wordplay about milk to be that fun.

This game is really fun but don’t assume it’s an easy one! Actually, the very first level is already quite challenging!
It really feels that the guys developing it had some fun and share a good sense of humor. Also, for the price you can’t go wrong..

Solaroids
If you like astroids type games, you will love Solaroids! It is a really smooth play, and there are many settings that you can tweak and change to adjust the game play/view the way you want. I also think the soundtrack is high quality and enjoy listening to it while I play. The local multiplayer mode is fun for families, -my kids enjoy the game too! Solaroids is still in early release, but the solo developer keeps us posted about the updates he is making and the plans he has to improve the game, including a story, and more grapics etc. He is also very open to suggestions, which I appreciate. I would definately recommend the game if you like to shoot things in space. It is surprisingly fun, and polished in the game play. Give it a try!

I have been playing this off and on for about 3 years. Seeing the massive updates, option upgrades, graphic changes, etc. has been really amazing.
This seems like a finished product, not a beta or early access… and then it updates and (unlike many other updates) you realize that they found a way to improve on something that was already great and retain the things you liked! You have even more things to explore or try out!
When the twin stick came out I was FINALLY a bit more competent and it transformed from a PC simulated arcade game to a modern console version.

#Funtime
Nice twin stick shooter, with different map types. good although short sound track. tries to have rogue lite elements like ship upgrades, and while they are cool, i was able to unlock all of them right away (with the exception of 1 tier3 unlock). it almost feels as if those unlocks should just be like PowerUp drops during the game. but overall so far i have had a #Funtime

Great game; this game gets more and more dynamic as you progress through the levels. It can get quite intense but the relaxing sound-track adds a nice balance. It seems to be well optimized for PC because it runs smooth and takes little storage. My favorite level so far is 10; maneuvering around the asteroids is good fun and makes a great scenery. I look forward to exploring the rest of the levels and arcade mode.

Lifeless Vanguard
***Many thanks go to Hayley, a very special person in my life, for proofing this review.
Sent to me by the developer of the title, Zouhair of Vibrant Allegory, through Steam Curator Connect, Lifeless Vanguard (LV) is an arcade twin-stick shooter that merits challenge and promotes Steam’s Leaderboard system as an incentive for further and repeated play. From its initial release, this title has expanded and improved through sound executive response, boosting my own personal confidence and positive relation toward this developer’s future projects. Though simplistic in general scope and design, gameplay is highly accentuated versus immaculate graphical quality, LV also utilizes other intriguing elements described below.

This game is as straightforward as twin-stick shooters get. Serviceable graphics and soundtrack. Minimalist menus. Rock-solid controls. Clever enemy design. Unforgiving difficulty.
Exactly the kind of shmup I look for to appreciate. Great game, looking forward to whatever’s next down the pipeline.

SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance
This is a 2D top down ripoff of 1962’s SpaceWar! (one of the first video games) where you fly a spaceship around and shoot projectiles at spaceships that you don’t like. It’s a familiar story.
There are a few graphics customisation options and the game is in colour so that’s what Brainshape (smooth) have to show for 53 years (!!!) of video game development technology since SpaceWar! came out. I think after 53 years of planning to rip off a video game you could come up with better graphics and gameplay, but nope. Also, you get insulted by console peasant childrens toy gamepad prompts, and that’s really sufficient for any PC gamer to immediately dismiss this.

TLDR: Clunky splitscreen topdown shooter. Constantly picks up phantom keyboard player, making game setup frustrating. Play Stardust Vanguards instead.
Local Co-op centered wave survival game with twin stick style mechanic. The game routinely picks up keyboard as a player making it frustrating to set up controller only. The flash grade assets are rather underwhelming. The art for backgrounds and cutscene portraits felt cheap and low quality. The menus were not all that well laid out. The core gameplay could had been fine as it is just gunning down targets, picking up coins, and unlocking permanent upgrades but the clunkyness and lack of polish on the engine does not really reward you for it.

XenoRaptor
It has a demo, so try that out first and see if you like it. After about 15 minutes in the demo I was convinced I would enjoy this game, and it did not disappoint.
It’s the little things that make this game good for me. It’s satisfying to blow things up, and knowing that there’s a variety of ways you can do so. The sound and hit physics effects are my favorite part. The sound effects are beefy. Bullets and missiles crash into metallic hulls, explosions really shake the subwoofer, and there’s a lot of pewpew for good measure too.

You can tell developers have put a lot of time and energy into a great game when the story is good, the voice acting is superb, and the character development almost becomes a game unto itself. That’s not even counting the realism of the combat mechanics which employ just enough “arcade"elements to make the whole thing addictive.
This is not a game like that. At all.
And yet it’s still a heck of a lot of fun. The only story is that you’re a hyper space dragon, trying to save universe. Character development is limited to how you outfit your space dragon with various weapons and upgrades. Combat mechanics are about as simple as possible: point your cursor at stuff, click a button or two until it’s dead, repeat. Still, this bullet-hell game is geared towards twitch junkies, so simple mechanics are overshadowed by the intense gameplay.
