PixelJunk™ Shooter
PixelJunk Shooter is a twin-stick shooter, with a very big focus on physics (specifically fluids). While exploring the underground caves of a planet, you’ll have to interact with lava, water, liquid metal, ice and rock in order to save the scientists who are now trapped.
The story is basically that. You’re in a ship, trying to save every scientist. And also collecting hidden gems. Whole it may seem a game about exploration, it didn’t quite get to that point, in my opinion. But more on that later.

PixelJunk Shooter is, as the name suggests, a shooting game. You control a yellow ship which is sent to help out some scientists on a planet in which after alot of digging something went wrong. The story is told when you rescue certain survivors, colored ones, which upon pickup will show up a text screen telling something that happened previously during the excavations. You progress through the game by picking up gems and survivors which will then unlock new areas for you to play. Gameplay wise the ship control is really smooth and satisfying with a some pretty decent shooting, your ship has 2 standard attacks, one that shoots projectiles if you keep tapping the attack button and if you hold it down you’ll launch homing missiles. The level design and the visuals are pretty well done, considering it’s a 2D game and as you progress to later levels the difficulty really ramps up at a fair pace keeping the game challenging even when you already master the game. Besides having to kill enemies on each level and rescuing survivors and gathering gems you’ll find yourself most of the times trying to solve some sort of puzzles in which you need to manipulate various type of terrain either it is ice or rock and liquids such as water and lava or even gas or deadly black goo. Overall PixelJunk Shooter is a pretty fun game to play when you’re bored or if you’re looking for something casual, you can easily beat it in around 6 hours or so and it’s a pretty good time. If you’re a fan of PixelJunk games you’ll probably also enjoy this one and if you do enjoy this one but haven’t played Monsters or Eden you should totally check those two.

Random Heroes: Gold Edition
Very Good Game for People who love Pixel Games (myself) !! I have not the best English !!
But there are downsides as well (Its not out for long and will probably be fixed)
1. Achievments do not work at least for now
2. I dunno if its a bug but i had all Characters right at the start
But despite some Bugs its a good Game and not too expensive so
i would recommend it

EDIT: This game is more fun than I originally thought it would be based on the first impression. And THEY FIXED THE BUGGED ACHIEVEMENTS! I’ll lever my first review for people to see my first impression, but just know that it’s better than I thought it would be after that first hour. Getting new guns is fun, and they really change up how you play. That made all the difference from it being a good time waster to being a legit just good game.
It’s a good, if somewhat basic game. Nice throw back title that I don’t think would be fun to play for hours on end, but to fire it up and spend a little time with it here and there, it’s perfect for that.

Soft Body
If you love games that sound amazing and feel good to play, this is probably your game of the year. It’s a bullet hell like no other; a game where you don’t shoot your enemies but try to get close enough to touch them without getting shot. And you do it by controlling two snakes at once, one with each hand.
Getting good at Soft Body is like a form of meditation. As you start to get better at it, you stop focusing on controlling one snake at a time, and you wind up controlling both simultaneously, not looking at either one. Then the game starts to throw challenges at you where you need to be moving and dodging and attacking with both of them at once.

This game is so damn good. The level design and controls are as smooth as an ice cold glass of Dr. Pepper on a summer day. It’s not meant to be an easy game, and the difficulty curve of Soft Game leaves something to be desired, but Hard Game is definitely where Soft Body shines. Tasks that are infuriatingly difficult at first eventually lighten up, only to be stacked on top of one another in rapid succession. There’s no feeling better than grinding out later-game levels and then returning to earlier ones just to find that you’ve become a LITERAL GOD all of a sudden. Add on to that the Halloween levels featuring not a single bullets, and multiple secrets I still haven’t even discovered the meaning of yet, and you’ve got yourself a game that’s worth far more than its asking price. 100% recommended buy.

Solos
A fun puzzle game. The music is really nice. I think that letting people create their own levels through the workshop could be a fantastic idea to deal with the puzzle games limited replayability, even though the speedrun mode is already a great addition to deal with it.

The best way I could describe this game in a short sentence would be “Create your own Bullet hell”.
Graphically the game is simple, but also stylised, as if a child is drawing this happening on their notebook which helped the game stay visually interesting
The gameplay for Solos is like a twin stick shooter, but your objective is much the same as the classic game of ‘Breakout’, clear the blocks, only catch is, you can use as many balls as you’d like. This design choice allows you to make the game harder and more chaotic, or you can take it a bit easier and slower by not firing as many balls. The game supports a lot of fun levels with multiple different types of materials that alter how the balls behave and make it easier or harder for you, an example of this would be the sticky surface which will catch the ball that lands on it.

Transcripted
Transcripted was taken off Steam for three years as a result of Alkemi terminating their publishing agreement with their scummy publisher and engaging in a prolonged legal battle over the rights (and the profits) to the game. I played and quite enjoyed this game before it got taken down, and now that it’s back on Steam, I feel somewhat obliged to put in a good word for it after all these guys have been through.
This is a genre mashup between twin-stick bullet hell and “Zuma”-style match-3, and it actually works. I love it when a mashup actually works like this. Add in some creepy organic visuals (think of Metroid Prime’s title screen), a surprisingly great soundtrack, and surprisingly good voice acting, and you’ve got one solid, decent game here.

I think I got this game from a bundle (it might even be that Groupees bundle that sold the keys without legal consent of the developers), and I’ve been feeling bad about not buying this back in that daily deal in 2012 December. It just wasn’t available anymore for purchase…
The memory still haunts me, because this is one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played!
You’re essentially twin-stick-shooting and dodging stuff while you’re setting up combos in the “DNA chain”. It’s intense!

PixelJunk™ Shooter Ultimate
Despite the deep hues, this game feels more approrpriate for the Spring season than Autumn. I’m not sure why that is, but I correctly trusted my gut. I ended up finishing this well into the summer, mostly due to IRL obligations and my desire to find every gem & scientist.
I love this game because there’s less emphasis on killing organisms and more importance placed on navigating the environments to save humans from perishing. I have to commend Q-Games for that direction, something that I wish wasn’t so rare in the contemporary videogame landscape.

★★★★☆
PJSU is a great coop experience, but weirdly enough you’ll notice a bunch of levels seem to be made with the mindset of a singleplayer game, as some levels felt too cramped and tight for the double action. Luckily, these levels appear a view times, mostly only in the second half of the game. This half happen to be my least favourite part, because the first half just had slightly better level design in overall.
I’d like to point out again how much fun the game is with a collabortive partner. Most levels are kind of boring by yourself, but are more intense and interesting with another player next to you as he or she can harm you too by accident. Nevertheless, while hunting down the last achievements by myself (because of a specific tracking bug), I still did enjoy the music (when it works 60% of the time) and the water mechanics. It’s always satisfying to shoot open a hole where the water bursts out of and negates the magma below.

The last earth man
In 2XXX, a strange virus suddenly appeared on the earth. It only infects humans. The infected person’s body will slowly weaken and then die within a few weeks. The infectivity of this virus is extremely terrible, and human beings cannot avoid being infected by any means. When the whole world was in despair, a Arcturian named bill came to earth and declared that he was willing to help treat the virus. People on earth thought they had met a Savior and fully cooperated with Bill’s treatment. However, the treatment had no effect. Soon, human beings became extinct. Bill holds the gene bank of all mankind, so he continues to clone humans to study the treatment of the virus. In one experiment, due to a coincidence that the probability was infinitely close to zero, the virus on a human clone was removed and had immunity to the virus. Bill told the human that the coincidence could not be copied. If you want to revive other humans, you can only go to the source of the virus: Sirius. So, the last earthman drove the mecha provided by bill to Sirius. But waiting for him is a conspiracy

Knighty Night
Knighty Night is a fantastic game that can be completed within a few hours. The fascinating story that follows a brave night traversing through four different parts of a haunted land, fighting ghosts and the traps they set up to keep the knight from defeating the evil that plagues the area. Unlike many indie games that stick to a 2D style, this game takes full advantage of Unity by pushing 3D graphics, animations, and a birds eyes camera to follow the player. Not only does the game look beautiful, it sounds beautiful. Every sound in the game plays perfectly with what it is complimenting on screen. But if you like your game silent, this game has the ability to silence just the SFX, Music, or both if that’s what you’re into. Like the sound, this game has video settings that allows your game to be windowed, fullscreen, and different resolutions so no monitor will feel left out.
