Stramedia: my_MISADVENTURE
Me and my mom have been having a good dinner in the kitchen that night, then the doorbell rang and an envelope slipped through the mail hole.
“Good evening! You’ve been invited!”
…it started off, continuing that it’s an invitation to the “Stramedia Safehouse Facility” breach. The survey was…odd, to say the least, but some of the things were done fairly easy, though I didn’t think it would go through. Then some of the days were spend outside of our homes and school, though it’s up to you to think of whenever or not these were the good days. And then I am sure you know what happened next.
Stramedia - my_MISADVENTURE is an indie horror themed adventure game where you step into the shoes of a classroom warden who signed the agreement to possibly the most bizarre, yet somewhat deadly school trip in his entire life. Of course it may not start off deadly right away, but, uh…yeah, things are gonna escalate. But can you blame him? He really didn’t know what he and his friends (fiends? Frienemies?) were going up for.
Well, what can he do now? Surprise, surprise, getting the hell outta there he must.
(AKA: the stuff worth checking it out and/or purchasing for)
-
The main protagonist is wearing a fedora hat! This is probably the best selling point to this game… I think! I mean…this is one of the main factors you got attracted to that other game with a kid, the kid’s hat, the stuff…uh, no? Okay, but if you know what you’re doing, you can find and recruit three other friends you’ll get (or have) to play as!
-
Essentially, this is another “average mediocre indie” horror game, except the mediocrity here is 99% intentional! And not to mention that it’s got everything you love and hate to see and experience in a horror themed videogame! Stupid simple and ridiculous (and somehow twisted) puzzles (with a lot of “ands”), cliché monsters and thirsty spooky mannequins…except they actually want to drink tea, you pervert. Get out of here!
-
Simplistic Visual Pixel Art Style, Soundtrack and Audio Design! If you like looking at pixels with different contrast, I am sure your eyes will love that, and if your ears love to feast on the Low-Quality DPCM-ish Audio, giving you an illusion that you’re playing a crappy retro GameBoy Advance styled game or something, then you’re all welcome in!..oh, wait, I forgot that we are talking about a game that LOOKS pretty retro…huh, that’s lame.
-
No, really. That kid has a hat.
-
Despite it’s horror nature, it’s also a comedy game! What kind of comedy? This game has got most of it! Whenever it’s all bad puns, visual humor, random, dark, dry or somehow outright gross and (“mildly”) offensive humor, Stramedia has it in the stock and shelves!
-
Prepare for some surrealism, because no matter if it’s an optical thing or not, things are…weird, yet somewhat disturbing, but not personal space like disturbing, because this is where it draws the line even for us.
-
A nice variety of accessibility options! Whenever you want to reposition the dialogue box, change it’s text size, whenever you find some colored text hard to read, or just don’t feel like playing the game with a controller and just want to rest your only arm and control the game with it, it’s no problem! The accessibility (and other) settings options may enhance the experience more nicely! (if there’s something you want to suggest, please let us know and we will gladly look into adding it!)
-
Seriously, that kid is wearing my hat! SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING! DON’T LET HIM GET AWAY WITH MY HAT!! :U

Amborettio
Amborettio is an interesting game with a unique story behind it. I was impressed with the details in the backstory and I enjoyed collecting materials to build the required tools for the game. For the price, I would recommend this game to everybody who is interested. The solo developer has completed impressive work with this game at a fair price. I look forward to seeing the future games that this developer publishes.

Cowboys n' Stuff
Nice little game.
I have already found some levels challenging and needed to replay the first levels to build up enough coins to buy better stuff for the harder levels. That is just level 3 on the first campaign when you meet the bigger zombies that take a lot more bullets to kill and you do not have that many. My advice is save your bullets for the big guys and melee the little guys. Like i say challenging especially when you get frustratingly close to the end of the wave. It might be that i am just bad at the game. I am sure i will get better I have only played 1.6 hours though :)

Great Game! I like the sound effects too! I find it quite challenging but lots of fun! I ran out of bullets quite quick the first time I played, so had to restart but got the hang of it. The shop is good for buying new items. Overall a fab game and looking forward to updates in the future!

Race The Sun
You have probably heard the expression “Less is more”. And it pretty much applies here because this game is quite simple with minimalistic design. But just because it is that way doesn’t mean that you will be able to complete it in few hours or feel that there’s something missing. Let me tell you more about it.
Let’s start with the story. There is not other way to put it but to say that there isn’t one. Yep, it is simple as that. Basically you are piloting a spacecraft fueled by solar energy and the sun is your death timer. And for this game it couldn’t have been better. On the bright side you don’t need to worry about the story being to complex, bad or uninteresting. This game is more about highest scores and tense gameplay.

Do I recommend this game? YES!
Here’s why:
The game starts off slow… and you progressively learn to dodge random obsticles along the way. However the further into the game you get, the more hectic it becomes, the more intense the dodging becomes and the more… freedom. You feel genuine freedom when playing this game when you reach good speed and is able to turn on a dime.
Each day you get a new set of semi-randomly generated levels to play through and the leaderboards exists only map-per-map so they reset the global leaderboards every few days. Whether you have played this game for a few hours or hundreds of hours, you can not only feel the achivement of getting better … but you can also see a tangiable achivement of getting better as you end up on the leaderboards.

The start tutorial was a bit long, but after that it got funnier. The thing with alchemy is a nice approach, I’m excited to see what else will come.

Pestis
This is a really good game, the best game I ever bought on steam for less than 50 cents. The concept is awesome and executed very well with the atmosphere and the theme it all just sort of gets you into the mood of the game and collecting herbs to make and mix potions is just really fun and interesting and there is so many ways to go about how you play the game from saving everyone, killing everyone, killing rats and making bombs to destroy their nest healing your self with potions and eating shrooms to stave off the plague and death. Just all around a cool indie game that you can play on a potato pc or even a calculator and its so cheap and so affordable how can you not get this game? The steam achievements are easy to get and look cool to.

Pestis would be a decent high-score game if it had leaderboards and more maps. Right now it has 1 map and 6 relatively easy achievements, hardly any reason to play it for more than 30 minutes. I think the artwork and animation are decent for what it is. You play as a plague doctor that is trying to cure a small village, and the game certainly captures that sinister atmosphere. The gameplay incorporates the potion mixing mechanic, although the system is very basic. There is some potential for improving your resource management, but without leaderboards I don’t see the appeal. I think if the developer can add at least 2 more locations it would be serviceable (urban area and catacombs perhaps?). It has a partial support for controller despite not being listed on the store page. My F310 works fine, but you can’t rebind it from default state.
