Inkulinati

Inkulinati

Inkulinati is an ink-based strategy game straight from medieval manuscripts, where a rabbit’s bum can be deadlier than a dog’s sword.

Take your turn in Inkulinati duels filled with unexpected tactical depth (and humour!). Embark on an ever-changing journey, build your own bestiary, defeat medieval superstars and collect perks to unleash special powers.

Become a master of the Living Ink, grab your quill and build your unique strategy time after time so that you can be named the greatest Inkulinati of all time!

INKULINATI IS INSPIRED BY REAL-LIFE MEDIEVAL MARGINALIA

700 years in the making, finally these bizarre art pieces can come alive in a video game and show that medieval people also had their “memes” and that they laughed from the same silly things that we do today. You’ll see sword-wielding rabbits, dogs with spears, trumpets lodged in bottoms, human-eating snails, and more. Much, much more…

FIGHT LIKE AN INKULINATI

Inkulinati are a legendary group who battle one another on the pages of medieval manuscripts. They fight by drawing Beasts with the Living Ink. Thanks to this magical substance, those creatures come to life and an epic battle ensues.Move your Beasts across the battlefield, perform actions on or with them, make tactical use of obstacles and collect more Living Ink to draw new Beasts which allows you to gain an advantage over your opponent.

MULTIPLE DEADLY (AND BIZARRE) BEASTS TO UNLOCK

Donkeys playing trumpets with their bottoms, bishop cats vanquishing heretics with prayers, heavy but deadly snails that eat units alive, and more. Much, much more. They all have their special skills and are waiting for your command.

SPECIAL, BATTLE TIDE-TURNING ACTIONS PERFORMED BY THE INKULINATI

It’s not just your Beasts that can cause havoc and damage. Use your fists to smash your opponent’s units, draw obstacles to create barriers, relocate your units with a move of your finger, or explode your troops to create pure, pure chaos. Just remember - your opponent can do it too.

ADAPT YOUR TACTIC TO EVERY BATTLE

Each Inkulinati has its own army, with different Beasts, who in turn, have different abilities, strengths, and unfortunately, weaknesses (or fortunately - depending which side you’re on). But it’s not just the armies that can influence who will win any given duel. Each Battlefield is its own domain, with its own particular dangers that you should watch out for, and opportunities that you can use. You will have to use your wits and adapt your strategy to beat the opposing Inkulinati’s army on each specific Battlefield.

A SINGLE-PLAYER CAMPAIGN

Uncover the mystery and secrets of Inkulinati and face such opponents as Death, Dante Alighieri, and more. Go out into the world and start your adventure! Fight the biggest Inkulinati masters in the land, tame the untamed Beasts, build your ultimate army, try to bring back your Master from the clutches of death, and most importantly, finish your grand quest with the biggest party that the middle ages have ever seen! Howza!!!

CREATE AND DEVELOP YOUR OWN CHARACTER

As any aspiring Inkulinati Master, you will get to create your own Tiny-Inkulinati. During your journey you will learn the secret techniques of drawing new Beasts and Inkulinati Hand Actions, allowing you to choose the composition of your army. You can be a brave knight that has no fear and will send his loyal troops straight at his opponents. Or perhaps you would like to play with a bit more tact? In that case, you can be a nun who with the power of prayer can confuse her enemies and heal thy own servants. Those styles, and more, are waiting to be discovered and made your own. Express yourself!

EVERY BATTLE HAS ITS OWN STORY

To mark every battle in history books for all future generations to see, a procedurally generated text describes the dramatic (or hilarious) events in detail just above the battlefield.

LOCAL PVP BATTLES

Inkulinati will bring you back to the Golden Era of hot-seat mode.

Rising Lords

Rising Lords

I have played this game for 100+hours is really fun to play against a friend, it’s turned based game BUT all turns happen at the same time, very nice feat I must say.

I don’t need to wait for my friend to do his turn since he does it at the same time and once both clicked end turn all moves will be done at the same time.

It’s a lot like Lords of Realm 2 which was easily one of the best games from the 90s.

You have to manage your kingdom a lot more then the regular games. Here you don’t only have happiness and tax but also the health and the seasons to think about. Plant harvest in the winter or your kingdom will starve later in the year(can also breed sheeps, cows or horses for diffrent effects). Your manpower for the army is also taken directly from the peasants that works for you so you want to make sure the peasants are in a good health so it’s plenty of workers and soldiers avaible for you.

Although it has many flaws, Rising lords is the first game that I am really into it that I am going write my first ever review.

Let’s start with what the game is about. This is a turn based game which focuses on building your army and expands your realm. Your objective is to conquer the enemy lands or to reach a certain amount of money to win. It has many similarities with games like Crusader kings, Civilization. If you like these games, you’re probably also into this. However in this game, the main difference is the combat. Your army can have a maximum of 7 pieces of different troops which you have raised during your turns in the world. When entering combat, your pieces will fight the enemy’s ones, and who ever loses all the pieces or their’s morale reaches zero will lose. I would saying the combat in this game is a lot like playing chess. Each type of your troops can have different strengths and weaknesses, and you try your best to to move them in the best possible way. In additions, the combat is further complimented by the cards system, which you can play to further your advantages.

Total War: MEDIEVAL II – Definitive Edition

Total War: MEDIEVAL II – Definitive Edition

This game is the best Total War game in existence. This is by far my favourite. Not only are the vanilla and expansion campaigns a lot of fun, but the almost infinite fantastic mods adds the replayability of this game a thousand fold.

Pros

  • Campaign experience is awesome. Lots of depth. Plenty to do. Complex enough that its not difficult to learn, but not easy to master either. It’s so easy to get immersed into your kingdom and care about your subjucts. History is your oyster. You become what you want. You can be a benevolent king who’s people adore, or a bloodthirsty tyrant that rules with an iron fist, a bumbling general that doesn’t inspire his men at all, or the greatest commander alive who even peasants will fight to their death on his command.

Despite it’s old age, it’s a masterpiece.

Medieval II: Total War is one of the best strategy games I’ve played. It’s both enjoyable in a strategical and personal sense.

Lets just straight get into why.

Gameplay

  • The game manages to be detailed with their strategy, forcing you to actually flank and position your troops. It doesn’t just account to how large your force is or whose troops are more disciplined, though, those two are factors to consider as well. In multiplayer, you might even be able to factor in Psychological Warfare! It gets pretty in-depth. And I love that.

The player will be able to visit different conditions, where the clan wars of the ancient Tribes are in full swing.

But not always everything can be solved by war, and therefore there are many mechanics for different styles of play.

This is where a new story begins that is different from other players.

The player has the right to do whatever comes to his mind with the game world.

Economy, pumping and construction, diplomacy, battles with lords, bandits and other civilizations, raids and robberies, achievements and easter eggs and much more.

Loving the Eisenwald games it’s a shame that each one gets emptier and less polished. Now here we have the latest with so muchb potential, like all the worlds, going to waste with lack of content and an unfinished atmosphere. You’d think they would be going in the toher direction as the Eisenwald world is rich with potential. Both gameplay and atmosphere has the making of a many series long term franchise and yet each one gets smaller and more of a tease. I won’t give this a Negative due to getting it on sale, it’s like someone bringing you just a piece of cake and taking the rest home with them leaving you hungry and wondering why they came by at all?..lol It isn’t bad, it’s isnt technically problematic, I personally haven’t had any bad issues, it’s just so lazy on the content side. Come on guys (The devlopers), show these games some love and make them real and full and worthy of their potential.

Ok this may look like LOE but it’s not, that doesnt mean that I don’t love this game as much as I love Legends of Eisenwald (LOE). It has a different message and story to convey and i do appreciate the story and message. I would love to thank the developer for once again providing a platform to slow me down and read and think about the story they are telling. At minimum you will get 2 fulll playthroughs of this game. Keep up the good work and I will keep on buying. If you did like this game then please, please do yourslef a favour and purchase LOE you will get many, many hours of play out of it.

Medieval: Total War™ - Collection

Medieval: Total War™ - Collection

If I were stranded on a desert island, but inexplicably provided with a gaming PC and allowed only a single game, this would certainly be it. A lot of titles have come and gone over my life, but there is something magical about this game that maintains a hold over me, even now.

Fans familiar with the franchise will recognise the game’s format. At its heart, it’s a turn based strategy game, composed of two arenas.

In the first, you pore over the campaign map to manage your provinces, generals and armies on the macroscopic level. You control your economy by tweaking taxes, maintaining a trade network and constructing improvements to your provinces. You recruit troops and agents to fight for supremacy through martial power or subterfuge. You plot, scheme and strategise to guide your faction to victory.

Real player with 663.8 hrs in game

The Total War franchise has become massive and the games now are nearly unrecognisable from Shogun 1 and Medieval 1. The format changed from this first pair, but perhaps lost a little bit of the magic that only exists in Medieval Total War (MTW) 1.

Graphics-wise, the campaign map doesn’t really look too bad; it’s only in the battles that the age of the game is more apparent, as square seagulls fly over your soldiers.

In terms of game-play, it’s solid, It probably feels pretty slow compared to everything from Rome 1, as units get fatigued and enter slow-motion. Battles can lose that dynamic feel as you chase a unit of horse archers around with your infantry and knackered cavalry… But the campaign map, building tiers, etc, is all super-addictive and always keeps me coming back for more.
