Inkulinati

Inkulinati

Inkulinati is an ink-based strategy game straight from medieval manuscripts, where a rabbit’s bum can be deadlier than a dog’s sword.

Take your turn in Inkulinati duels filled with unexpected tactical depth (and humour!). Embark on an ever-changing journey, build your own bestiary, defeat medieval superstars and collect perks to unleash special powers.

Become a master of the Living Ink, grab your quill and build your unique strategy time after time so that you can be named the greatest Inkulinati of all time!

INKULINATI IS INSPIRED BY REAL-LIFE MEDIEVAL MARGINALIA

700 years in the making, finally these bizarre art pieces can come alive in a video game and show that medieval people also had their “memes” and that they laughed from the same silly things that we do today. You’ll see sword-wielding rabbits, dogs with spears, trumpets lodged in bottoms, human-eating snails, and more. Much, much more…

FIGHT LIKE AN INKULINATI

Inkulinati are a legendary group who battle one another on the pages of medieval manuscripts. They fight by drawing Beasts with the Living Ink. Thanks to this magical substance, those creatures come to life and an epic battle ensues.Move your Beasts across the battlefield, perform actions on or with them, make tactical use of obstacles and collect more Living Ink to draw new Beasts which allows you to gain an advantage over your opponent.

MULTIPLE DEADLY (AND BIZARRE) BEASTS TO UNLOCK

Donkeys playing trumpets with their bottoms, bishop cats vanquishing heretics with prayers, heavy but deadly snails that eat units alive, and more. Much, much more. They all have their special skills and are waiting for your command.

SPECIAL, BATTLE TIDE-TURNING ACTIONS PERFORMED BY THE INKULINATI

It’s not just your Beasts that can cause havoc and damage. Use your fists to smash your opponent’s units, draw obstacles to create barriers, relocate your units with a move of your finger, or explode your troops to create pure, pure chaos. Just remember - your opponent can do it too.

ADAPT YOUR TACTIC TO EVERY BATTLE

Each Inkulinati has its own army, with different Beasts, who in turn, have different abilities, strengths, and unfortunately, weaknesses (or fortunately - depending which side you’re on). But it’s not just the armies that can influence who will win any given duel. Each Battlefield is its own domain, with its own particular dangers that you should watch out for, and opportunities that you can use. You will have to use your wits and adapt your strategy to beat the opposing Inkulinati’s army on each specific Battlefield.

A SINGLE-PLAYER CAMPAIGN

Uncover the mystery and secrets of Inkulinati and face such opponents as Death, Dante Alighieri, and more. Go out into the world and start your adventure! Fight the biggest Inkulinati masters in the land, tame the untamed Beasts, build your ultimate army, try to bring back your Master from the clutches of death, and most importantly, finish your grand quest with the biggest party that the middle ages have ever seen! Howza!!!

CREATE AND DEVELOP YOUR OWN CHARACTER

As any aspiring Inkulinati Master, you will get to create your own Tiny-Inkulinati. During your journey you will learn the secret techniques of drawing new Beasts and Inkulinati Hand Actions, allowing you to choose the composition of your army. You can be a brave knight that has no fear and will send his loyal troops straight at his opponents. Or perhaps you would like to play with a bit more tact? In that case, you can be a nun who with the power of prayer can confuse her enemies and heal thy own servants. Those styles, and more, are waiting to be discovered and made your own. Express yourself!

EVERY BATTLE HAS ITS OWN STORY

To mark every battle in history books for all future generations to see, a procedurally generated text describes the dramatic (or hilarious) events in detail just above the battlefield.

LOCAL PVP BATTLES

Inkulinati will bring you back to the Golden Era of hot-seat mode.

Space Tyrant

Space Tyrant

I really like this game and it totally deserves to be as popular as games like Slay the Spire. I got both this and Slay the Spire during the summer sale and ended up refunding Spire because this one enthralled me so much. You might be wondering how the two games are comparable at all, but you must keep in mind that Space Tyrant is as much a roguelite as it is a 4x, and it very much conforms to the idea of losing horribly and repeatedly but having fun in the process as you gradually build up your deck and learn the game. In many ways it scratches the same itch as games like Spire, but something about the colorful aesthetic, humorous themes, and creative genre-mashing put the drab Spire to shame, at least for me.

TL/DR: 6/10. Great idea, beautiful game, but harsh game design. Expect hardcore RNG roguelike play that detracts from wonderful 3x/4x design and a fun narrative. Also, the devs seem to be onto bigger and better things.

For a game about being a tyrant, you sure are stuck with specific game rules and no options to revolt against the oppressive developer-made campaigns. I really enjoy the idea of this game, and it did many things right…however, some design choices left a sour taste in my mouth. It’s like eating chocolate only to find that someone laced it with lemon juice. I’ve played tons of 4x games (love the genre!), and as much as this game is thought of as a “light” beer and pretzels version, it’s actually way more punishing, and your strategy, no matter how good, might not be enough due to insane RNG and hardcore random campaign rules. I get plenty of that in real life. I want to enjoy the games I play.

Worms Revolution

Worms Revolution

Worms Physics Revolution

At its core, Worms Revolution is another Worm clone with modern graphics.

That said, WR does bring its own brand new elements to the game that set it, if not above, equal with most of its predecessors.

The core game is still the same great combo of;

🔸 Turn based team warfare,

🔹 Tons of weapons,

🔸 Dozens of tools,

🔹 Endless random maps,

🔸 It’s own quirky worm comedy,

🔹 Single player champing,

🔸 Puzzle / Challenges,

What Worms Revolution adds;

If you don’t know Worms, you have missed something in life. There is nothing in this world comparable to the sweet brutality of the warfare of these tiny little jerks. They put sticks of dynamite on each others' heads, throw explosive bananas, holy grenades and now even water bombs, let sheep and skunks explode, shoot with guns and water pistols, launch air-strikes and smash each other through the air with a good old smack on the head, executed with a baseball bat.

I used to play Worms 2 as a 12-years-old, and more than two decades later, I still love this game series. The combination of a totally original gameplay, outstanding humour and yet being a serious strategy game make it a winner.

Fantasy Town Regional Manager

Fantasy Town Regional Manager

This game was not what I was expecting. I thought it would be something like SimCity where you endlessly expand your town. But this game isn’t meant for you to build a long term town right out of the gate. You are expected to create a town, accomplish some small goals and quests, earn upgrade points and then - when your town crashes and burns - unlock some upgrades and start over again.

I’ve played for 16 hours and have yet to fully unlock all of the upgrades. I have unlocked all of the buildings and it is starting to get a little repetitive but I can see this as a fun game to come back to after a break and play a few rounds to pass the time.

Fun, engaging, eases you into some interesting complexities

I love how vibrant the game is, which is thanks to the music, the cute colours, the little people moving about the buildings, and the amount of story it’s able to fit in with the newspaper and your own gameplay.

That’s all drawn me in, but what’s kept me playing is seeing more new buildings appear, then deciding how their placement might affect the satisfaction of each class of adventurers. It starts off simple enough but when you’re ready, you’re able to introduce modifiers that impact the way you play even further.

Worms Ultimate Mayhem

Worms Ultimate Mayhem

After hundreds of hours and over 10 years, I figured it’s about time I sit down and write a review for this masterpiece in gaming history. This gem holds a very special place in my heart, and it will forever be one of my all-time favorite games. To me, this is Team17’s magnum opus. It doesn’t get any better than this. It is the reason I first began to engage with the Steam community years ago when I created the Worms Ultimate Mayhem Militia with my brother, and it’s the reason I have hundreds of friends on Steam today. To put it quite simply, Worms Ultimate Mayhem isn’t just a game, it’s one of my passions. I know the new Rumble has beautiful graphics and a much larger playerbase, and the 2D games like Armageddon are beloved and often regarded as best, but in my humble opinion this is the greatest Worms game there is.

Worms 3D + Worms 4 Mayhem together, with remastered graphics? Awesome!

All is good, good except the lack of effort put into it.

I almost feel like they were doing something good but quit half-way because deadlines or something, they didn’t even do much follow up after release besides patching game-breaking bugs that didn’t allow people to play at all. If I’m recalling correctly the beta correctly, they were trying to put the teleporter utility back in, but ended up not for who knows what reason (although I never got to play it at that time personally due to game launching bugs, so I watched someone else also in the beta who could).

Game Theory At Christmas

Game Theory At Christmas

✱This game requires internet to play normally

✱The English of this game is made with Google Translate. My apologies.

In order to participate in the game competition, let’s make a game with the theme of Game Theory. Originally thought so, but due to various complicated reasons. In the end it became a spoof game.

Because the game operation method is very intuitive and simple, I won’t introduce it here.

The game contains a total of six non-zero sum games:

1. Guess the mean 2/3

Enter a number from 0 to 100 .The one who enters the number closest to the average 2/3 of all people’s numbers will get 1,000 coins.

2. Dollar auction

Enter a price of 0~1000 to bid for some coins. The person who bid the highest price wins the bid, but everyone has to pay their bid.

3. Traveler’s dilemma

Enter a number from 0 to 2,000 coins. The one who enters the smallest number will get the same amount of money.

4. Prisoner’s dilemma

All members cooperate, all get 1,000 coins, one betray, traitors get 500 coins, plural betray, all lose 500 coins.

5. Free rider problem

Choose ignore or resist, ignore loss of 300 coins, resist loss of 1,000 coin and terminate the round.

6. Ultimatum Game

Enter 0~500 twice to decide how much money distributed to others. If someone refuses to distribute, you will lose 1,000 coins.

The game will revolve around the above game. The accumulated star coins or snow coins can be used to upgrade characters. Each character can have different effects according to the level. Only by fulfilling the conditions of the level can you advance the plot, so you need to adopt a strategy that can meet the conditions of the level without losing too many star coins and snow coins.

Some levels require the character to reach a certain level to pass the level, so when you are stuck in a level, you can replay the previous level and accumulate star coins to upgrade your character.

Lux Primora

Lux Primora

Lux Primora tells the story of a vibrant world steeped in primal elemental energies. Air, earth, fire, water, and light crash together across a land shaped by the forces of nature and threatened by their chaos. Those born with the ability to control these elements must defend themselves against a world both hostile and beautiful.

Lux Primora follows in the footsteps of classic JRPGs. You’ll experience tactical turn-based combat, dynamic environmental puzzles, and a rich narrative-driven adventure. Four unlikely heroes must come together to discover the mysteries of the world. A classic tale of bravery, camaraderie, and magic retold.

Worms W.M.D

Worms W.M.D

I recommend this game, as it is lots of fun, but at the same time there are reasons I would not recommend it. Let me explain.

As a single player it offers a variety of missions and challenges, which can keep you occupied for a while. But competing against A.I. gets boring quickly, because of how predictable (and bad) your computer opponents are, and then you really want to play against other humans. If you’re in a household with other family members or have real life friends to play with, it should be ok. However, if you’re a single guy living alone, like me, you have to venture into the online world to find people to play with.

Real player with 237.1 hrs in game

Over a 100 hours on record and I would also argue I have hosted the most games of anyone currently still playing the game with 60% winrate. I am here to inform you of the major misopportunity this title is and how the total package on offer here is probably not worth the commitment you will need to make to get the most out of it.

First off heres what I love about the game
