ANCIENT EVIL

ANCIENT EVIL

Отличная реал-тайм стратегия, хотя на самом деле сложно дать точный жанр, тут смесь многих, и это круто.

Рисовка и движения персонажей просто огонь, это и привлекло к покуке, и не пожалел :D

Augmented Future

The concept was intriguing, but I didn’t like the pseudo real-time combat. The timers are way too fast: there’s almost no time to click (much less think).

The interface is clunky: lots of waiting for text or buttons to load, for instance. I did play around with the settings and improved the speed as best I could, but waiting for components to load in such a minimalistic interface just feels bad.

There were also some basic bugs, like superimposed buttons.

Bottom line for me: if I’m going to play a game that ditches graphics for the sake of gameplay, I want the interface to be very good, and not something I feel like I’m fighting.

Waste Walkers

Waste Walkers

A surprisingly well excuted use of the RPG Maker engine to produce something more than the usual fare. Mechanics are about as would be predicted for the engine and genre, extended to include welcome survial elements (which I believe can be turned off? Wasn’t intrested in doing so myself but do recall seeing that).

The setting might be said to be like Fallout, but unlike Fallout which takes place many decades after an apocolyptic event, Waste Walkers places you in the role of a survivor shortly after whatever happened (it seems to be one of the mysteries of the game) happened. Resources are scarce and heavy enough to make you concerned and wish to create stashes around the city, but not so far as to panic. Combat is very challenging but not impossible, and the survival element is reinforced by some encounters consistantly costing more resources than they reward, making ‘fight or flight?’ an important question throughout the game.

April 26 2020 edit

Theres now literally no way to be lost in the game. The map you start off with has every single individual building marked with their names. Now you can go to wherever a quest tells you to.

Very cluttered, mostly readable. But you can definitely find anything for the most part.

MARKED AS RECEIVED FOR FREE SINCE A NICE STEAM FRIEND SENT IT MY WAY BUT I FORGOT WHO GAVE IT TO ME :(

A game inspired by the jrpg of the nineties of turn battles, however it has something new like choices and freedom but like everything of the nineties do not think that you will find things easy.

interact and explore the game this is the biggest premise in this game of ten finals because even the main missions are not shown only commented by the npcs and the choices be careful what you choose after all.

you can end up as a slave or as the queen of your country this game is all interactable from buying a store to having an extra income to counting the truth to an old friend of your father will all give some kind of consequence whether it is good or bad I hope you like this experience different from other modern games

Jey’s Empire

Great game! Very complex, tons of weird ways to get from A to B, and very funny under the very serious veneer. I saved America from the Red Menace by making a child cry. The only Steam achievement I’ve ever been proud of!

The dev is a really cool dude, I’ve helped him out with a few projects. The Discord server is also good and I’d recommend his other games like Cold War 2, Cauldrons of War - Barbarossa, and Cat Fu MI.

Kings0

Kings0

Kings0 - turn-based strategy in medieval genre, where you have to control your civilization in many aspects of the game.

The player will be able to visit different conditions, where the clan wars of the ancient Tribes are in full swing.

But not always everything can be solved by war, and therefore there are many mechanics for different styles of play.

This is where a new story begins that is different from other players.

The player has the right to do whatever comes to his mind with the game world.

Economy, pumping and construction, diplomacy, battles with lords, bandits and other civilizations, raids and robberies, achievements and easter eggs and much more.

Waiting For The Raven

Waiting For The Raven

Well, it’s still an early-access game, so don’t expect it to work all the way through -

but I thought it was an interesting approach, and it was nice to try something different.

Douglas Adams, alas, predicted this sorry state of affairs:

“In other words - and this is the rock-solid principle on which the whole of the Corporation’s Galaxywide success is founded - their fundamental design flaws are completely hidden by their superficial design flaws.”

And if they were actually from another planet, you could overlook the developers poor grasp of human languages, as well.

The game still needs more polishing. The first spymater session is enough satisfying and the storytelling is quite reliable. There are a bunch of spark ideas during the first session gameplay including some right in time visual effect, some good cypher solving games and some well hidden bonus. The problems of first session could only be some buggy UI display and the strategy management part. I spent like 5 to 6 hours to totally break through the first session and to find out how naive the management part actually is. Beside the 10000 gold bonus and some other hidden bonus, I can just use some wine barrels, a 10 stealthy big boy and a 10 charming miss to burn all the houses to the ground without any real punishment. And the game is just like lying down there suffering from my giant gold dick-play. I mean, you guys did a lot of great work in designing the dialogues and storytelling and visual effects and different strategy dealing with different situations. But why the actual management part is so disappointing. The balance of some punishment events and the credit bonuses is totally a mess. That’s not cool at all.

Destinies

Destinies

Great board game companion app, I found no difficulties with the base functionality and I definitely recommend playing it over steam on a laptop with a bigger screen.

My 2 main points of feedback regarding the game in general are:

1. There’s hardly any need or use for the board and the minis of the actual physical board game. We found ourselves looking only at the screen, which had the most up do date information about the locations and map, and forgot to move our minis around in the physical version. The biggest use for the physical map and minis, is to note down the location where items are dropped.
