SF2K: Class Dismissed

SF2K: Class Dismissed

SF2K: Class Dismissed is, like, an intense war between a bunch of girls who are all out to ruin each other’s popularity and self-esteem. The object is to physically attack and majorly dis your enemies until they are totally mortified beyond belief. You’ll never come out on top without making the right friends, so be careful who you’re nice to. Because in the end, only the shrewdest will survive with their social status intact!

Delve into social gameplay like no other, playing with tenuous alliances and bitter rivalries on the harshest battlefield know to humans - the schoolyard playground. Who can you REALLY trust?

On your way to becoming the universe’s most popular girl you’ll experience:

  • Dynamic social gameplay - each round is never the same! Deception, trust, tears - all part of the playground.

  • Meet new friends along the way; you’re gonna need some friends to beat the other losers!!

  • You can’t get to the top without making a few enemies!

  • Compare your stats with your friends (and enemies) on the rankings board. Will you be #1 on the Most Popular board or #1 on the Losers Board?

  • Mix your gameplay up with customisable game modes. Just don’t pick a “cower only” game unless you’re all scaredy-cats.

Choose between 100+ accessories for your day on the playground. Your wardrobe starts off with the basics, so you’ve got choices like a bandana, headphones or a bone through your hair. As you earn more clout on the playground, you also learn a thing or two about fashion. You’ll get access to things like cool new glasses (even if your vision is 2021), dollar bling, butterfly wings, fancy ties and even your own bodyguard! Did I mention that you’ll also get earn full outfits from being popular, like prom dresses, mermaid outfits, 70s discotheque outfits just to name a few. Your wardrobe will be HUGE in no time, which is a good thing because who wants to wear the same thing twice in a row??

Wait a minute, I’m getting deja-vu… doesn’t this game look familiar?

If you used the Internet in the early 2000s, you probably heard about SiSSYFiGHT 2000, I mean who hasn’t. Anyway, it’s back and better than ever. We didn’t think it was possible to improve upon SiSSYFiGHT but here we are.

Frontier Quest

Frontier Quest

Played the full demo and couldn’t put it down. Had to 100% complete the game and had an amazing time playing this game. from the combat to the lovely art style you cant go wrong with picking this game up. the combat gives a variety of difficult encounters to battle against while allowing the player to play how they want, from either gathering the necessary gear to help with fight or to be stubborn and push your way through. either way you cant go wrong with picking this up.

Great game, love the artwork. The sound for the characters and background is well thought out. The interaction with the characters is enjoyable. Animation is well done and each character has personality. Enjoying playing this game very much.

I really want to be able to give a positive review as the gameplay itself is quite fun. Sadly with 4 separate playthrough attempts all ending with different game-terminating bugs, I cannot. The developer does seem to be updating and fixing some of the bugs, but the sheer volume and level of impact these bugs have ruins the experience. I will likely attempt again after an update to see what has been remedied. Perhaps, then, I will alter my review.

Story

During the intro, your heroes, Halea and Gwennel, have received a cryptic letter. They meet in the middle of a forest and sling questions and confused statements at each other. Halea appears to be a knight or a warrior of some sort, with axe and shield. Gwennel is most certainly an Elven ranger, clad in green and bow-decked (like being bedecked but with bow in hand). While our heroes are chatting, Goblin 37 approaches, stating that he also received a letter. Traditionally, Goblins are enemies in this world, and the characters are understandably confused. Things don’t exactly get clearer when a wizard named Elmar appears. He insists, quite enthusiastically, that the group kills the Goblin, and the tutorial begins.

Wow this is a great fun fantasy strategy game with a distinct, quirky, and super entertaining sense of humor. I’m a newbie to strategy games like this so I played on easy mode (there are three available difficulty settings which adjust enemy hit points) but I just beat the game and had fun from start to finish, and only wiped a few times. The strategy is interesting and fun to play and if it had been strictly a strategy game it would still be great but the developer hired a brilliant youtube comedian to write the dialogue and that humor shines bright and makes every intermission between levels a pleasure. The party progression is cool being based on a few statistics and the equipping of gear in your party and one of the coolest quality of life features is the awesome ‘auto-equip’ function which completely smooths over the process of inventory management while still allowing for customization and allows the main focus to remain on the combat and the entertaining dialogue. The quirky and hilarious dialogue is primarily presented in the form of conversations between the guildmaster and their guild between quests. After every quest you will see that some of your guild members have something to say and when you talk to them about the previous mission they have a hilarious conversation of some sort every time. The creativity of the humor and story doesn’t wane as the game progresses the dialogue maintains solid high quality entertainment all the way through (even through the ending). I love how as I progress the guild is starting to fill out with people. I love seeing more and more people in my home base and it reminds me of the game Suikoden which I loved. The developer is a cool and approachable person and he is active on twitch (where he streams twice a week), youtube (where he has been making videos for about 10yrs), and twitter as @jimplaysgames and on his own website at jimmakesgames.com.
