Cartridge Defense

I’ve played a lot of tower defense games and this one is really compelling. There are difficulty spikes that had me ragequitting, but here’s some advice - don’t be afraid to spread your towers out, and sponsorship mode is endgame.

I love and I hate this game. The number of stages that you spend 30 minutes in, doing really well, and then the boss monster comes out and FUCKING STEAMROLLS YOU is waaaaaay too high. Also there are only a handful of “winning” round 1 plays, I am restarting a lot and I wish there was a better system in place to make sure you have an actual play round 1.

This game right here is a gem. I have played hundreds of tower defense games, this ones special. Starts simple, and keeps adding layers with tower cards as you progress/farm. the effects on cards add so many ways to play. What a delight to not have a games in game purchase cost money!! it costs regents from playing lvl/farming to purchase packs for more cards, which packs seem to get better as you progress? easy to get to! It still has some bugs i have come into. but for me. nothing game breaking. Just notice it at keep playing/grinding. I am the type of person that likes to jump around from mmo to shooter, to thinker games. like tower defense or whatever. I like to have a game of each type to play at will. and this one has filled a void missing for tower defense for a minute. im a deep fan of such games likes orcs must die 2. where u can really set stuff up. and yes i gave up trying to type proper…can you tell? :)

Fun little tower defense game. Does a few things new, does a lot of things well, and scratches the tower defense itch nicely. Story bangs on incomprehensibly but, honestly, you can skip the story and miss nothing. There’s one or two other minor quibbles but, really, for the price you’re getting fantastic value. If you like tower defense games this is a solid entry.

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears:

It all started with the discovery of the Neutronium base element from a deep excavation in 2029, somewhere near a place named Main City. Neutrium turns out to be a powerful new energy that can be used to power batteries and equipment for hundreds of years. This type of energy is always useful for military purposes, and the countries that have access to the Neutrium start a race to develop the ultimate automated warfare unit. The citizens of the world take to the streets to raise their concerns, but the world turns to chaos, leading to the rise of three terrible factions. The worst of the three, the Ministry, wins the race and now controls the world with these ultimate machines of war. That is, until a rebellion of hackers plans to use the machines against the Ministry. It’s going to be Armed to the Gears!

--- Don't get me wrong with this review, I DID have fun… but there are several things wrong with this game. That being said... i only had like 5.5 hrs ACTUAL time played on campaign..... watched a movie with the wife and went to get more beer while the game was still running. (New Predator movie rocks btw). This game does not suck. I know it is in alpha. I want to like this game more, byt they have a lot of work to do _Upgrading is confusing at first.. I feel it should be seperated from the turret menu_ *– [Real player with 8.0 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197995840361)* --- ![Cyber Defense](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1683910/header.jpg "") ## Cyber Defense Changing my review back to positive, as the developer fixed the issue. A lot of levels were unattainable, now they are. So anyway, basic tower defense game, with some pros and some cons. The biggest pro is that it works, far too many tower defense games on Steam are broken or incomplete. This one seems to be pretty solid. The look is also a positive for me, though it will not be to everyone's tastes. It resembles the old vectrex games, for those who remember that. The game has an interesting but limited array of foes. According to the developer, the spawner tailors the kind of attackers it generates to counter your defenses, and it does seem to have some effect. *– [Real player with 17.1 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198330888468)* I left negative reviews in the past because the game originally had quite a few bugs and issues. But, the developer continues to release patches and address issues that are discovered. It's a fun tower defense game, I enjoy it quite a bit for the price. Hope to see more features and maps come in the future, or for the game to be open for community mods and maps. *– [Real player with 8.6 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198041506610)* --- ![Cybernetica: fallen city](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1432930/header.jpg "") ## Cybernetica: fallen city lowering the annoying music doesn't work… No sound effects what so ever... no other way to quit game but alt-F4 Uninstall works fine though... *– [Real player with 0.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198011022369)* Can't believe the normal price for this game, I got it on sale for under two bucks, and it was still over priced. One pretty small map, for eighty five levels, seven towers that seem to only upgrade twice to level three, with no options or variety. Graphics are decent, though the units movement doesn't match the distance traveled for the ones with feet. All in all, a piece of jump. Getting my money back. *– [Real player with 0.2 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198330888468)* --- ![Cyber Defense 2088](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1500580/header.jpg "") ## Cyber Defense 2088 This was absolutely a fun game! I thought the concept was really cool, coming from the mobile tower defense world it was definitely an adjustment. The game itself was visually pleasing, there weren't any bright blinding lights, everything you needed menu wise while not actively fighting in game was condensed into one area. There's a little bit of lore to the game, not hugely interactive as far as storyline goes but it sets the right pace and for the type of game it is, didn't really need it. *– [Real player with 1.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198062442136)* --- ![最后的夜晚 Babel](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1436980/header.jpg "") ## 最后的夜晚 Babel I would really love to give this game a good review, but I simply can't. It is broken, unfinished, and not even completely translated into English. It is a nice, stylish looking tower defense game, but there is much that either is unexplained, doesn't seem to work, or both. For example every gun has options beneath it, that might mean damage, range, health, rate of fire and crit chance, but clicking on them doesn't seem to do anything. All of those are stats given for each gun, but nothing changes when you click them, even after they seem to have leveled up fifty times. *– [Real player with 5.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198330888468)* The game has been translated over from Chinese, there are typos in some places (e.g. after base destruction). You can also see direct Mandarin in some text areas e.g a boss has appeared. I also have a bug where if i zoom out too much the screen starts to shake i believe only on smaller maps. (May be due to ultrawide monitor 3860x1600) Otherwise, the game is fun! Reminds me of Yorg.IO. Great price at less than 10AUD, looking forward to updates. *– [Real player with 3.9 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197993436758)* --- ![Infinitode 2 - Infinite Tower Defense](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/937310/header.jpg "") ## Infinitode 2 - Infinite Tower Defense My first TD was Vector Tower Defense, my second was Vector TD 2…and my third was Vector TDX. I hated all three, but I sucked at them. I liked the gameplay, I liked the idea...but I just couldn't wrap my head around the strategy and wondered how one ever got to the higher levels-- or even completed some of the maps. I loved hating those games, played the crap out of them on Candystand (RiP). From there, I played every TD I found, even the crappy ones, just to see if they got any better. Over time, I didn't have to play crappy ones, as good ones were being created all over...but nothing quite like Vector TD. :/ *– [Real player with 367.2 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198031912503)* This was a close call if I push the yes or no button with the recommendation button. This game has a plus side, which is the gameplay itself. It's classic tower defense, no bells and whistles. No unnecessary graphic 1upmanship, but instead back to the basics, i.e. simple outline shapes that make the towers you placed instantly recognizable. You've got 16 different towers that do different things in various degrees of effectiveness, so quite the variability in terms of towers. And that's the positives. So now for the negatives, namely progression and R&D. *– [Real player with 250.2 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198218568356)* --- ![Space Station Tycoon](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1324270/header.jpg "") ## Space Station Tycoon After the Recent update of the Raiders and new riftgate. I decided to make a quick review on the understanding of the game… Times for events are as followed. Police scan once year Feb or March, Raiders will come every 5-7 years these you can't bribe and will require more firepower to get rid of. Pirates can be bribe but can drop cash and items. Aliens will only attack for your Research points so spend wisely and each time you can spend. Early game this game is a real grind. Hard mode w/ events on. Don't build anything you can't afford to loose. The bathing house is one of the highest profitable building 20,000 a month in revenue when full upgrade but cost 15,000 to get your hands on 1\. Everytime i try to rush R&G sends a asteroid to destroy it. GAMEOVER. So piece of advice start small and grow small. 2 docks are find early game. Then focus on BILLBOARDS 1 cafe, ___then swap this for a bar. Then you get into research . *– [Real player with 31.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198965665935)* a fun, simple game. there is not much combat. and once you start going, you get going. a lot of reviews are complaining of mechanics that are really … not that complicated? Income - your first priority should be to reduce upgrade costs. don't build faster than you can afford. Even starting at 20,000, build 3 dock stations and let your money generate and as you can, buy upgrade materials and reduce upkeep costs for each building. Research - start research with upgrade cost reduction and then move to increased research - you will not have any more problems once you max both of these out *– [Real player with 12.5 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198032532912)* --- ![Space Grid Tournament](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1503160/header.jpg "") ## Space Grid Tournament ![](https://media.st.dl.pinyuncloud.com/steam/apps/1503160/extras/GIF_Announcement.gif?t=1623914388) Take part in Space Grid Tournament, the most spectacular sport of the future, where giant robots fight to take control of the field and crush the opponent down.
