If you’re looking for a simple and casual game to help you pass the time, this would be the game for you. Not had to understand and very easy to complete all tasks. It reminded me of a game I loved to play in my iPad.

Cute graphics

Music is pretty chillax

Simple gamplay.

Words sometimes don’t fit in the box.

Cant play in fullscreen

Can’t adjust the music and sound volume. It’s either it’s ON or switched off entirely.

Though this game still has bugs, especially for Windows machines, it is a fairly interesting game that is sometimes a bit confusing to suss out what is going on. It’s fairly good.

Nice little puzzle game that combines tower defense gameplay, Tim Burton’s humorous grotesque style and easy-to-use game mechanics. With the help of his insects and animals, the boy Victor will have to uncover the secrets of the dark nooks and crannies of his house, entering into a confrontation with annoying pests. You can use from 1 to 3 types of units, depending on the type of mission to be completed and the conditions for its implementation. Each species has its own peculiarity, there are powerful punching bumblebees, and small mosquitoes, prickly hedgehogs to protect confined spaces and other specimens. The set of tactics, albeit not huge, is quite sufficient for a fun game, and various types of equipment allow you to create interesting options for defense and attack. I did not like the fact that some missions had to be completed exclusively in the way the developers intended (most often this concerned missions with one single ward). And the most unpleasant thing was the moment when a prerequisite for starting a mission was the presence in my squad of a certain unit, which can only be bought in a junk shop. It is very expensive and if there is no money for it (and I did not have it), then the only option was to start a boring grind of currency in previous missions, and in the local endless mode. This is a strange idea, to be honest. In all other respects, this is such a solid good puzzle, which is very pleasant to play in the evening, quite sincere and dynamic.

Adequate grindy play with a ton of content. But where’s the sound?

How did this get released on Steam? There’s no audio. The UI is terrible. You don’t know a tower’s range until after you’ve placed it. Towers don’t start charging their shots until robots enter range. There’s so much wrong with this game, it’s hard to know where to begin.

IMM Defense

Very unbalanced. Seems almost impossible to get past the first few levels.

Did not expect too much for my couple of dollars, but was pleasantly surprised. The store site is particularly “busy” and tended to put me off - it must be a very late level setup.

There is no tutorial and the help is bare bones, but after a couple of practice runs it all quickly falls into place.

The game rewards good tactics as do most good Tower Defense games. The later levels get fairly hard very quickly.

I would like to see a number of pieces of additional information,

  • the damage done by the various towers and the incremental effects of the upgrades.

Incremental Epic Breakers

Incremental Epic Breakers

I liked Incremental Epic Heroes (IEH) by the same developer, so I gave it a try. I have to say that at first I didn’t like this one very much. It required a lot of active play, it was very slow to improve, and honestly just breaking blocks wasn’t very fun. I stuck with it though mostly out of loyalty to the developers.

It got a LOT better. First the developers put out an update that speeds the progress early on which was really needed. Secondly, the game modes get interesting later on. The missions are the first start, but it really gets fun with the challenges and as you really start to use the crafting system.

Not a fun game at all. Only playing this to get rewards on IEH

Multiple bugs and logical errors. Capture shot that costs 5k coins in store doesn’t do anything in challenge when placed, what a waste. If you buy quest rarity, the quests you get are practically impossible to complete by a normal human. You want me open 100 chests in 24 hours? Active play I don’t see more than 5 an hour. 10 mimics in a day? I think I’ve seen 10since I started playing 2 days ago. Too many flaws, don’t waste your time here even if it’s for IEH bonuses

The music of the game is beautiful and easy on the ears, The format of waves is very fun and will get harder, The artwork is outstanding colourful and amazing very easy on the eyes, This game is very family friendly and has easy to get to grips with controls, The game play is very smooth in all this game to me has got everything I could ask for.

Penultimate final review updated early April 2020 (I’ve still got some updating to do as this review is based on the early ‘work in progress’ version, plus I’ve repeated myself in several places. I don’t know when I’ll be posting the final version, but it will be eventually.)

In Brief:

The Last Roman Village is a strategy defense game that gives freedom to develop a whole Roman city from scratch and to wisely choose the way to defend it. The game allows players to experience a variety of options and creativity. Side scrolling defense games are one of my favorite types of games (next to Breakouts, Shmups and top down TD games). Not a bad game, but not very convenient scaling (the game is made for 720p), you can’t reassign the keys, I would help to make a Russian translation
