There are a lot of games that were inspired by ‘Hyper Light Drifter’ and they mostly failed as individual games for various reasons, but out of those that I played I liked this one the most. Despite the visual similarities to HLD that many people are calling a ripoff, Resolutiion clearly had a talented artist and I don’t want to take anything away from him; the games might look similar but it’s not a clone of HLD. Surprisingly the best part of this game was the story, the writing was just excellent and absorbed me into the universe, although the delivery of that story was somewhat questionable, mainly because I felt like the characters came and went too quickly. Still, I thought the lore for the universe was very compelling, from what I understand the humanity was taken over by technological advances and those few that remained isolated started a war against the ‘progress’, although It was kinda vague and confusing.

Cartel Tycoon

Cartel Tycoon

First of all, don’t mind the playtime. I am one of the early supporters of the game and have some 280 hours on my profile for the “Earliest Uncut” version of the game. I provided extensive feedback for the game and used to be one of the community playtesters for early builds in the past.

By concept, Cartel Tycoon is a great game. The recipe for this addictive drug is “Tropico meets Frostpunk meets Narcos series”. Visuals, narrative, characters, music - all that is done well and does a lot for the immersion in the setting.

For the person reading this hoping it’s the cartel management game they’ve always dreamed would be released… here it is baby.

Nothing quite as satisfying as watching a convoy of trucks carrying 100 kilos of cocaine stuffed inside a chicken drive right past the Federales convoy on their way to t1tty f*** your cocoa farms.

Or burning down a warehouse stacked to the ceiling with cash rather than letting the DEA seize it.

So much potential for this game. I played the demo months ago and literally called out sick the day it dropped.

moon: Remix RPG Adventure

moon: Remix RPG Adventure

In 1997, the now legendary anti-RPG “moon” launched in Japan. Now, under the watchful eye of its original creators, it’s finally in English!

Have you ever felt it odd that the heroes of RPGs go around opening villagers' closets and stealing from them? Or that they travel the world indiscriminately killing all monsters they meet? This game looks at the RPGs we all know and love from a new perspective.

Story

One moon-lit night, a young boy is sucked into the depths of his television set.

He falls into a place called ‘Moon World’, and thus begins a search for love in order to recover the lost moonlight.

Here, the mighty hero of Moon World murders innocent animals for experience,

but the boy’s growth comes from saving the souls of the animals and gathering the love in the world.

Yes, in this game, you level up by loving, not fighting.

The inhabitants of this world are all unique. Observe their daily lives and learn where they hide their secret love.

“Now, please, open the door!”

An RPG without battles - Save the monster’s souls -

All the monsters killed by the ‘hero’ are actually just innocent animals. As you explore the game, you will encounter the bodies of these pitiful creatures. But, if the boy can catch their souls, they can be saved.

A living, breathing world! - Peek into the secret lives of the NPCs -

Moon World’s residents go about their routine lives, depending on the time and day. The florist goes to work in the morning, and the castle guards arrive at their posts. Some folks have secret midnight hobbies, and others just spend their days fishing.

MD System - Choose your own soundtrack -

In moon, you can choose your own music. By using the special music playing Moon Disc(MD) function which appears in the game, you can walk around the map listening to the tracks you like in the order you set them.

BOOMER SLAYERS

BOOMER SLAYERS

“The Boomer Slayers come to purge the world of filth and bring masculinity and brutality back to society”

Play with your badass friends in local co-op mode!

Try to do your best not to die of laughter.

When you’re ready, switch from GAME JOURNALIST DIFFICULTY to NORMAL and test your might in a REAL CHALLENGE. Slay your enemies LIKE A BOSS!

Memory Lost

Memory Lost

  • The current demo build is the alpha version 0.6.1

  • Memory Lost - is an action shooter, the battles in which are built around the mechanics of mind capturing and moving into the enemy’s body. First-aid kits were not delivered, there is only one clip in the weapon - change the bodies to survive!

  • New body - new gameplay. There are dozens of archetypes of opponents in the game, each with its own unique characteristics and skills that affect the outcome of the battle.

  • Relocation is the basis of survival. If you don’t want to run around in a half - dead state, look for a healthy body! Are the weapons out of ammo? Move into the enemy with full ammunition!

  • Copy enemies' memories! Capturing consciousness is impossible without capturing memories. With each new migration, the Neural Network, the main character of Memory Lost, will collect more and more material to form himself into an independent personality, after which he will process the knowledge gained and reap the fruits of his actions at the Mind-Map hub location.

  • Karma in a top-down shooter? The neural network is also formed due to interaction with the surrounding world. Kill for the common good or for mercy, regardless of the consequences - and get one of three possible endings.

Warning: A very small percentage of people may experience seizures while viewing certain images, such as flashing lights or patterns that may be present in video games.

UNDYING

I seriously enjoyed the game. I feel like with updates, it got a little easier because zombies would never spawn around the map. I am kind of tilted that it cuts off around day 30 something, and tells you thanks for playing. I felt like this was a huge issue for me. I think the game is very time consuming, and the infection rates are a little intense, and I found some bugs where you would suddenly be sick, and dying.

I am very unhappy with the fact I cannot continue my play through, and have to experience it all over again and again just to get that itch of the game. I honestly hope they incorporate a regular mode, or a dlc where you play as the son. constantly worrying about being infected is a little rough, I am very unhappy that I cannot continue my play through!

The story is fascinating and I like the twist in the zombie survival genre about “What life is like after being bitten?” I absolutely love it.

There are however a few things that need to be balanced such as food and water supplies. It makes the game much harder than it needs to be and to perhaps add more resources to at least upgrade workbenches so that the player can achieve self-sufficiency.

Also maybe add a few quality of life upgrades such as the ability to delete old save files, for example.

Caapora Adventure - Ojibe’s Revenge

It nice to see the Brazilian culture represented by a game. I love the puzzles and the unique 3D cartoon style! If you like Zelda-like games you will love this one! Highly Recommended!

Really good adventure game about brazilian folklore, a theme not that much explored. The basic mechanics reminds me old Zelda titles! Exploring previous areas with new abilities and finding all feathers and others collectibles is fun! Recomended!

Limiter!

Limiter!

This is a very good puzzler with a great OST .

Sadly this one goes in the buried gems category, it is always sad to see a quality game like this not getting more attention.

The game has some very smartly designed and tricky levels, more then enough content, most of the game is medium difficulty but there are harder levels and for me they are a highlight of this game.

This game is pure quality in every aspect and worth every cent.

The movement is intuitive enough for you to work backwards - so you can get ideas as to what needs to be done without the entire puzzle being spoiled. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a ~10 hour ish puzzle game.

The game was actually pretty fun and in some case, emotinal. Despite being small, it does deserves respect

(i edited out the problem that this game had)

A nice, fun little game! There are three areas (clans) and each of them have their own plot and style of gameplay to complete the tasks (fighting, puzzle solving, etc.). It’s a little short (around an hour-ish) but you’ll be invested pretty much the entire time in that hour and the game definitely has its charm.

Colloc

Colloc

Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews in English. This is actually a really nice puzzle game. The levels are varied enough to stay interesting and the learning curve is steady without any jarring leaps. Colloc feels very complete, with a nice outer map screen and charming backgrounds in the levels. There are simple and clear instructions for the main mechanics, which I really appreciate.

The only feature that was missing for me was an undo button. As most of the levels were short (less than 30 moves) it wasn’t a problem through the easier parts of the game, just on a few of the bigger levels with 30-55 moves. Still, it wasn’t a huge issue as the character movement is easy and fast.
