Brigador: Up-Armored Edition

Brigador: Up-Armored Edition

There’s a reason I’ve logged 200+ hours in this game in under 2 months. It’s fun as hell and offers incredible amounts of replay value and gameplay depth. There is an absolutely enormous amount of content, and everything is packed with detail.

The basic idea of the game is to pick a vehicle, a primary and secondary weapon, and then a special defensive weapon/feature, and go to town. You’re getting paid based on how much destruction you dish out by a cold, calculating megacorp, the SNC, that has only one goal: conquest of Solo Nobre, a massive walled city where the game takes place. You must secure the city district-by-district via whatever means necessary, even if that means completely leveling the entire map (which is totally doable, and even encouraged!).

Brigador is, on the surface, an isometric twin stick shooter where you choose a difficulty, vehicle, two weapons, a special ability, and a pack of levels to fight through. But what makes it so much more than just that is the flavortext. No, that’s not a joke. Every single map, Pilot, weapon, lore concept, and vehicle, including the non playable ones have a full paragraph or more written about its special quirks, how it came into service, crew oppinion, and other such things.

The setting is a genuinely interesting one. Yes the 80s synthwave meme is a bit overplayed these days, but it works out in a way that doesn’t feel forced in brigador. Cassette tapes and CRT moniters work along side crainial jacks in this dystopian North Korea meets Rio Brazil in an An-Cap universe and it just kinda works.

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears

Armed to the Gears:

It all started with the discovery of the Neutronium base element from a deep excavation in 2029, somewhere near a place named Main City. Neutrium turns out to be a powerful new energy that can be used to power batteries and equipment for hundreds of years. This type of energy is always useful for military purposes, and the countries that have access to the Neutrium start a race to develop the ultimate automated warfare unit. The citizens of the world take to the streets to raise their concerns, but the world turns to chaos, leading to the rise of three terrible factions. The worst of the three, the Ministry, wins the race and now controls the world with these ultimate machines of war. That is, until a rebellion of hackers plans to use the machines against the Ministry. It’s going to be Armed to the Gears!

--- Don't get me wrong with this review, I DID have fun… but there are several things wrong with this game. That being said... i only had like 5.5 hrs ACTUAL time played on campaign..... watched a movie with the wife and went to get more beer while the game was still running. (New Predator movie rocks btw). This game does not suck. I know it is in alpha. I want to like this game more, byt they have a lot of work to do _Upgrading is confusing at first.. I feel it should be seperated from the turret menu_ *– [Real player with 8.0 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197995840361)* --- ![Damascus Gear Operation Tokyo HD](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/648630/header.jpg "") ## Damascus Gear Operation Tokyo HD Its a mediocore port. It's got locked resolution choices, low quality options, and subpar Keyboard + mouse interface. Now that I've got that out of the way. It is a fairly enjoyable diablo-esque gameplay with ac style mech customization. Story and mission content is pretty good, especially with inclusion of all the dlcs, it gives you more scenarios and lore to followup your previous game Gameplay wise its fairly simple, however I notice a lot of fps staggers throughout the game. Something the fps lock which unfortunately you can't do anything to fix it without resorting to outside tampering. Also it suffers from having terrible ai partners and sometimes questionable mission objectives. Customibility isn't as deep as say AC. But you got plenty of parts and weapons to experiment on and to figure out your preferred playstyle. Though you're color selection and map layout is limited. *– [Real player with 59.9 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198134939861)* ---

--- …well you tried. But seriously this game is pretty much Armored Core meets Diablo with loot shooter elements, but the problem is its so stale and boring that it ceases to be fun about halfway through. The end game content is unsatisfying and getting S ranks on the missions is tedious instead of a challenge. The story puts you to sleep. The part selection and paint is bare minimum and the stats are never explained. All the bosses are basically giant versions of the normal mechs with cheap tactics and that's only if they work properly. I had two of the final bosses glitch out on me quite a few times. It was hilarious but sad at the same time. Also the Hero Creation extension is basically playing the game all over again, with slightly different dialogue and 3 additional missions. I S ranked all the missions in this game just so I can get my money's worth but jeez I only did it cause I was bored. *– [Real player with 48.6 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198334223230)* --- ![Mech Farmer](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1618520/header.jpg "") ## Mech Farmer Mech Farmer is a story driven farming RPG set on a terraformed world where you must provide the colonists with food, help them achieve their life goals and protect them from hostile alien monsters - amongst other things… ![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1618520/extras/NightPatrolLow.gif?t=1634151662) Howdy! Soon your ship will land in Moonshine Gulch and you'll assume the exciting role of **MECH FARMER**. The colony was established to extract precious minerals from below the planet's surface - some people say the heavy machinery used is aggravating the local fauna and causing attacks but that's not gonna get in the way of profits! Besides, you'll have a mini-gun on your left arm, a flamethrower on your right and rocket launchers sitting on top of that 20 ton mech of yours, so quit ya belly achin'! Just keep the colonists fed and alive, OK? And don't be putting crazy notions in their heads, like the company is only interested in money and doesn't care about them - we don't want a rebellion on our hands, do we?! **FEATURES** **Farmin'** Full day/night seasonal cycle with over a dozen crops with different requirements. Deliver basic crops to each settlement or use them to create hearty meals that will be greatly appreciated. **Fightin'** Pilot a customisable mech. As the quest for space exploration become a reality, we humans become enthusiastic to the idea of discovering and walking on new planets, as well as coming across new types of living organisms. This euphoria dies down rather sharply when one of our chief scientists mentioned that we might encounter unknown and hostile civilizations during our space endeavours. Unanimously, we decide to build a mech that can be deployed quickly on planet orbits or surfaces. Just in time, our first prototype is ready for testing as we lose all radio contact with the rest of our planets. Ready to launch. . . Project Aether – First Contact!

Stalin vs. Martians 4

Stalin vs. Martians 4

Stalin vs. Martians 4 is a massively soloplayer action game which tells a story of the conflict between Stalin and the Martians. It has a narrative-based story with a plot and rich dialogues of humorous nature, which beautifully highlight the story’s narrative-based narrative and plot.

Also Stalin vs. Martians 4 is a rather unexpected sequel to 2009’s infamous real-time strategy game. GameSpot named the original Stalin vs. Martians ‘perhaps the worst RTS game ever created’. That’s high praise. You don’t hear it every day.

Well yeah, the original Stalin vs. Martians featured some brilliant, but questionable ideas in the fields of game design, level design and some other designs as well. So we sent most of the original developers to Gulag, we’re making a proper and, which is important, playable game. It is powered by Unreal Engine. And you’re gonna like.

Could you please be a little more serious?

OK, Stalin vs. Martians 4 is an isometric action/shooter game. Which is frankly quite obvious from the screenshots and gameplay videos provided. But it must be understood, that SvM4 is not entirely about the core gameplay. It is more about the overall user experience. In a way, it can be compared to Catherine. Which is essentially a puzzle game, but in fact it is so much more than that.

Even more serious

SvM4 is built around the core gameplay of an isometric shooter, but it is conceived as a pythonesque over-the-top project, that puts a very unlikely protagonist against a very unlikely backdrop. All the time, mission after mission. It’s a sketch comedy about an evil idiotic buffoon. You have Stalin in Candyland, then he emerges in the Lovecraftian setting and fights Cthulhu, then he goes to Mars, then he travels to Ancient Greece, etc. Occasionally the game spoofs other games and introduces absurd mini-games. Sometimes it changes the genre, but within reason. And then you have crazy video intermissions (think of Red Alert or, you know, the original Stalin vs. Martians).

As mentioned above, the game is very narrative-based. Kinda like Firewatch, but, you know, better. It is also very cinematic. So we intend to provide a stable, very cinematic rate of 24 frames per second… Oh, wait. Okay, maybe more if the audience expects a certain digital fidelity in this field.

Features

• A follow-up to one of the craziest games in history

• Campy humor, insane concept and ridiculous storyline

• A “sketch comedy” approach with a variety of settings and mini-games

• Fast-paced isometric combat

• Physics-based destruction system (“Katamari Damacy in reverse”)

• At least 12 levels, separated by absolutely insane video intermissions

• Narrative-based missions (“Firewatch on drugs”)

• Some of the levels include mini-games, some are just switching

the genre, because why not?

• Character upgrades, crazy weapons and special abilities

• Ranks system which defines the progress through the game

• Survival mode

• The bestest soundtrack ever

• Actual gameplay

The game may also feature nudity if we’ll be able to find someone nude. (Which is unlikely).

Overview

Tesla vs Lovecraft has one of the most interesting set-ups for a game I’ve ever seen. Pitting the guru of electricity Tesla against perhaps the most influential horror novelist H.P. Lovecraft is simply ingenious. And it works quite well. From the twin stick meisters 10tons, makers of Crimsonland and Neon Chrome, you can expect great meaty combat against massive unrelenting hordes of horrors. Accompanying the fun gameplay is an epic electrifying soundtrack, and stylish 3d visuals. With 3 distinct difficulty modes, and a set of progressive upgrades, you always feel like you’re making progress.
