Bloodroots
As a playtester for this game’s Steam release I can say with confidence that this is a really solid game with amazing gameplay. And not only that, it has a lovely indie team behind it too! Definetly pick this game up if.
The gameplay feels very smooth when hacking your way through levels, being able to pick up virtually anything around you as a weapon in your fight as Mr. Wolf. Even when dying a lot at points, which can happen quite frequently with the well-executed 1 hit death system, I never felt like giving up or taking a pause. For those who don’t like dying much: there is an option in the settings to make yourself invincible so you can really go all-out slashing.

Hotline Miami on speed. This is a great top down action game, it’s fast paced, very fun, a lot of creativity and a very strong level design. The OST has some really nice bangers as well.
There is A LOT of weapons everywhere and your goal is to power through levels by any means necessary. Use a pistol, a scythe, a snowball, a fish, an explosive barrel, a mini gun and others more or less crazy alternatives. It’s all about speed, making combo and using different weapons to try to get the highest score possible. You can unlock hats that have various effect by defeating bosses or reaching a certain highscore. The hats have a real Hotline Miami vibe of course, you can tell the devs are fan of that game, you feel their passion throughout the game.

Many different enemies and types of weapons, six categories of upgrades and endless survival in the arena - this is Endless Savagery.
Red Risk
I personally can’t recommend this game for the following reasons:
- “Microblast Games” developers design a bipolar controls: Left Click to strike/shoot and Right Click to move, this works for games as diablo not for survival shoot’em up games.
a. If you are playing as Jason (the melee character), it is an advantage
b. but if you are playing the ranged characters you just will lose time aiming.
- The enemies sometimes hit you by only shaking its hands with you. The animations of their attacks are just bad designed.

Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded
Update: It’s worth mentioning that this game no longer works for me. This might be a Windows 10 issue. I don’t know, but be careful. c:
How come no one told me this game existed?
Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded is a masterfully crafted horde-style action game with RPG elements (what a mouthful) that’s all about running backwards and shooting. Shooting what, you totally didn’t ask because it’s in the title? Eeeeeveeeerythiiiiiiiing.
Horde games usually struggle with enemy balance and keeping those enemies interesting. And RPG games usually struggle with balancing an effort-to-reward ratio that makes players feel accomplished and powerful without stressing them out too much or taking too much time.

What can i say about alien shooter? Its amazing.
Zombie shooter is an overhead action/shooter/rpg?? game that delivers nicely.
An alien treath has arrived to earth and is decimating the population. Your mission is to find how did they arrived and to destroy them. Could say more, but thats about right for the story (and i wouldnt like to give spoilers).
Anyways, a description of some aspects of the game.
Variety of enemies. Unlike many “Horde” games, this one has quite a decent number of enemies. The combination of the different classes of the enemies in the screen makes the game actually decently hard. Not to mention, i have never seen a game with so many enemies at the same time.

Depths of Limbo
Patiently waiting for more content
A Binding of Isaac clone in early access.
Its a good little game all around, solid shooting, varied enemies and bullet patterns. Its just a matter of adding more content.
There is Fair amount of Strategy already, you can go for different builds. Take risks, wager your health and coins.
For example the weaker items may come in handy if you plan to waste the extra heart, on the sacrificial altar for a chance of a better bonus, and it is a working strategy, with the right items.

The game is nice, but certainly unfinished (it’s on Early Access, after all). The developer was very active in the beginning, but nothing has happened since March (both game uptades and announcements). Though already fun, buying it now is financing its potential, not its content, that is scarse.
With that said, the game’s premise is the Binding of Isaac’s room by room than floor by floor style, but with Nuclear Throne’s twin stick controls and focus on weapons and ammo, not (primarily) abilities. Depths of Limbo already has it all, but not much to offer in any front. A few enemies, a few weapons, a few abilities, a few bosses.

DESERT KILL
Written By Hidden Gems Review : https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38624426/
Desert Kill is a voxel/cartoonish roguelike where you can see the rainy blood. 😂
The game has simple mechanics but still it’s fun play it, but still early access with a lot of work for do, for example the aim of this game it’s kinda off, hard to hit the targets.
The graphics are ok but the visuals and the explosions with rainy blood make you say… woah nice job ! Also there are really good details of the game like the corpses become first squeletons and later dissapear.

Featured in my Lost on Steam New Episode!
Rather just check the video instead of read? Me too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Iiq0lBjT4Q
I started a new short segment called “Lost on Steam” which features games that have few reviews for one reason or another. Definitely not necessarily negative, just games that slipped by people.
This is one of the featured games this week!
Desert Kill is honestly a fun roguelite. It has varied missions and weapons and each of your plays will be a little different. There are heroes, perks and weapons to unlock as you play and the combat keeps you on your toes with a bullet-hell ish design. You’ll need to stay frosty on your dodge button if you want to get through all of the areas.

The Hong Kong Massacre
I rarely leave reviews unless its something i hate and want to rake over the coals.. but i have to leave one here to give these people props.
I’ve been following this game since i stumbled over it on Facebook for many many years ago when all there was were just gifs of tech demos. I loved the style and the potential that was shown and i was hooked at the idea.
It is inevitable that reviews will bring up Hotline Miami but that is not a negative. The games look similar but they operate in a different way. There is no score here, take that as a positive or negative but the only thing that influence your score at the end is the challenges and if you completed them or not as well as a your time being logged.

“The Hong Kong massacre” is the indie tribute to the 80’s-90’s John Woo movies like “Hard-Boiled” or “Bullet in the Head”, made in the form of a top-down shooter.
To those who are TLTR in their heads: It’s a cheap-made indie game. Not bad visually, but very limited by the chosen topic and production costs. Buy it if you really love top-down shooters and 80’s Hong Kong-style action movies. In all other cases, there are good chances that you’ll turn it down after only a little while.
