Surviv.io - 2D Battle Royale
This game is a fantastic top-down battle-royale that is perfect for newer gamers or those who cant run games with higher graphic requirements. it’s simple to learn, and rewarding to play. The developers have been updating the game constantly, adding tons of free cosmetic skins and other game modes.
The problem is the hackers. This game is absolutely filled with hackers. Almost every game, there is probably a hacker playing. They don’t try to hide it, and with the games Spectator Mode, you can watch it all happen. Hard aim-locking is the most common one, and watching the recoil on high-spread weapons, or my personal favourite, the hard-lock melee attacks, really ruins the game. And its not a rare occurrence; it happens all the time in solo, duo, or group.

This game has a serious problem with hackers and teamers.
I have been playing this game for at least 3-4 years now, and I remember when it was not filled to the brim with hackers and teamers that practically outnumber actual players. But now it’s often difficult to make it through early- and mid-game without being killed by one of the many hackers or by a bullet shower from a pair (or more!) of teamers. And if I do manage to not run into any players belonging to either of those two groups of degenerates, or if I manage to beat the odds and kill them, it is a near-certainty that they will be among the last players remaining in late-game, and I will likely lose to them then. It is very frustrating to spend lots of time playing a game and getting fairly decent at it, make it to the last 3 alive in a match after getting 10 kills (not a ton but a solid match for me at least) only to have the other two players just shoot at me and not at each other at all, killing me. Due to the fact that I encounter a hacker or teamers about every other match at least, and that I usually lose to them, I think I would get about 2X the number of matches where I survive into late game if it were not for the hackers and teamers. And upon making it to late game, I would be able to actually win a fair amount more as well, 25-50% (late game is going to accumulate the highest skilled players, making it more difficult than early and mid once hackers and teamers are out of the equation). While there are many actual legit players that are better than me which does not bother me, it does bother me that so many opportunities to win are stolen by illegitimate players. I would be able to greatly improve my late-game skills and strategy if the hackers and teamers were removed, because this would give me about twice the number of late-game matches.

All this and more in Anoyo: Zero!
Battle Village
The BGM of the game is a little ok. It can be seen that the developer wants to create a tense atmosphere. But,But,But I didn’t feel nervous and even giggled. Why? Let me tell you:
1.In the game, the enemy’s tank birthplace position is completely fixed, and the order is also completely fixed. You can run to the top of the screen and kill the tank easily, which is easier than bullying a three-year-old. I even had an illusion that if I had been born during World War II, I would have been a trump tank driver.

4/10
it’s missing a bit to Give it a Go,
feels like was not much of a thought about a good level design and some fancy interface
not bad though, I was sad to discover that game can be really abused by just standing down the spot line.

Blue Flame
Ever since my first Iron Pineapple video, I have been snatching up and playing almost every souls-like game that looks worth my time. Heard about Blue Flame. Googled Blue Flame, but nothing came up. Googled Blue Flame Twitter, found an Adult Entertainment twitter profile. Looked through it. Realized I wasn’t in incognito. Cleared my browser history and came to Steam properly.
Added this baby to my wishlist only to realize that it was releasing the next day. Release sale, 20% off, under 10 bucks. Dev diary says game’s about 3-4 hours with about 7 bosses and more content is coming. Can always refund it if bad… It’s Friday, let’s play games.

This game is a souls experience for sure. Main problem is that it was too easy. Fuck the maze tho, that was just not a great experience, im not buying a maze game. That being said tho, was not too bad took maybe 40 mins of running around. Only had problems with the Harypys, all the bosses pretty much was a first try. Game seems too short too. Overall not too bad, but the lack of players that own the game and the smallest community I have ever been in makes it a problem to even google anything about the game. Wait for sale tho becuse, the game is 4-5 hours and you must likely wont be playing it more then once or twice. I hope the devs add more stuff and maybe a Wiki for the important things like achivements and a small guide for getting stuck on directions despite it being a souls like. 1 thing they could add is more options in the settings menu and maybe a ng+

Story
You, Carl Bung, once lived a happy, content life of guzzling energy drinks and slamming pizza pops, wasting away on your couch in your disgusting, roach-infested apartment. That was, until they took you.
As part of a human enhancement project, a covert unnamed division of the US military began their trials, on you, subject 21. They cut, and injected, and drained, and spliced, granting you unexpected new abilities. Gross abilities. But, no normal human could survive the kind of physical trauma that you have undergone. In fact, your butt is the only thing that even works on you anymore.
Realizing that you won’t make it out of this alive, you resolve to make them pay for what they’ve done to you. You will use your powers against them. Take them all out. Every. Last. One. This project needs to be shut down for good, and you are the only one who can.

Operation Thunder
This game is actually a lot more fun than I expected. The level design is well done and the enemy variety and placement keeps the game interesting from start to finish, although Chapter 1 is a little slow. The sounds and music are good as well. The story is solid, it won’t blow you away, but it’s entertaining enough for this type of game to keep your attention.
The game does have a couple weaknesses, but they’re minor and don’t detract from the overall experience.
You can tell that this little gem was made by indie devs that truly are passionate about the games they make. It’s also feels like you can actually communicate with them; I shot a message to the devs about a glitch I encountered and it was fixed the next day. I will definitely be supporting these chaps in the future and I recommend all who like the game to do the same!

Even though I don’t play a lot of video games, I can safely award this one GOTY in my personal collection. I was surprised at how well made the game is, I can really tell it’s a passion project. It’s nice to buy games from little indie companies because the best part is you actually feel like you can communicate with the developers rather than have my opinions and emails lost in a chain of “no-reply” emails. But anyway, onto the the strengths/weaknesses.
Strengths:
- The game play mechanics, holy sh*t you’d think it’s a Hotline Miami sequel if I didn’t tell you otherwise. Really smooth movement, gun shots don’t do that weird counter strike curve around the wall thing.
