Crimsonland
Crimsonland is a classic top-down twin-stick shooter. The game focuses on the important things of the genre like good controls and fluent gameplay even with massive amounts of enemies on the screen, and skips uninteresting things, like a Story.
### Controls:
And since we are at it, the controls are smooth and working precise at any given moment. I played the game with keyboard and mouse. I haven’t tried it with my controller yet.
### Technic:
In my whole time with the game I never had any stutters or fps drops. The game ran smoosh at any given time, even when the whole screen was filled with enemies and effects.

With a very fitting soundtrack, amazingly fun and big mix of weapons, perks and power-ups and the ability to speed the gameplay up by 1.5x creates an epic, fast-paced twin-stick gore-fest of a game that is extremely difficult to beat on the highest difficulty.
This game has received many updates throughout it’s release on Steam and I think the game is currently at a good state of balance.
Including many other changes, the biggest is that previously you could not use perks in the quest game mode, which you now can by enabling it from the options menu, which was a part of the original 2003 game.

Renegade Ops
Top down game Like no other.
I would say that renegades ops is one of those games that come once in a very long while and go unoticed, I remember purchasing it with a bundle with other games and never played it, until one day I was really bored and starting checking the games that I havn’t played, and so I clicked on it and was ………. pretty impressed!.
with it’s cartoonish simple catchy story line to the amount of details and physics in the cars and combat, everything is well done and goes along together well.

Renegade Ops is a classic styled vehicle-based top-down twin-stick shooter, where we have to defeat enemies coming at us in overwhelming numbers through mission by mission, while successfully completing objectives, such as rescuing civilians or collecting certain items. Unlike its predecessors the game does a good job simulating 3D by using slopes and elevation differences. The game is a successor to the Jungle Strike games from 1993 to an extent that at some points we can even switch our vehicle to an attack helicopter. The game is enjoyable, but comes with some very annyoying bugs. It was part of a free SEGA bundle at some point (with both DLCs included, so I’m going to mention those as well).

Shield Impact
maybe some more gamemodes would be nice. Like a mission gamemode (kill 10 enemies in 15 seconds for example), or a gamemode were you play as the enemy would be super cool.
But it’s a nice little game
7.3/10

The player character goes invisible after first game played and there is no actual bots, hardly even any pattern to compete with or gameplay. It needs to be fixed..
I did not refund it, as the original idea is kind of great.. !
Shields are always underestimated. But that underestimation only returns stronger with this game.
Not only the game craps out and it is the gamebreaking bug where the character disappears every retry.
It is a try and retry centered game. Not really worth anything like this. Could been really great but always forget to retry.

Sky Force Reloaded
If you’re into scroll shooters with amazing graphics, hardcore player…. well this game is for you. It is a classic ported from android/IOS if I recall but runs smooth with no issues at all.
The positives:
-
Amazing graphics, the art is really well done, so crispy, rich and just amazing, love when these type of games get that superb graphic art and effects, ultra settings running at 800+ fps no hick ups, job well done
-
Awesome 8bit music to accompany and really up the enjoyment

92 / 100
A modern shoot ‘em up reminiscent of the classics!
Sky Force Reloaded (SFR) is a pure sequel which encapsulates the great gameplay & features from Sky Force Anniversary (SFA) , & expands or improves on them. Along with SFR having half a dozen more levels & an additional Nightmare difficulty tier, there is a range of new ships to unlock, technicians offering various power-ups & new enemies to challenge you.

When It Hits the Fan
Is it cheating to write a review for a game with your name in the credits? Maybe I don’t know. What I DO know is that When It Hits the Fan is a fantastic return to top down 90s arcade shooters. Playing this game will make you feel like you’re playing a real arcade game, which is supported considering that the game actually does have an arcade port.
The game is fast paced and difficult. It’s also very fair, the camera makes sure nothing ever sneaks up on you that you couldn’t expect. The replayability is probably the best part of them game. I’ve played through the game a countless number of times and not once did I ever get bored with the game. The game’s branching paths, secrets, extras, and fun to learn level design keep you on your feet even through 10-20 playthroughs. This is very much the game that is fun to learn and master. Achievments are another positive that this game has going for it.

One of the best twinstick bullet hells I’ve ever played. Also, probably the hardest I’ve ever played that wasnt just unfair. 10/10, would die again….and again…and again.

Ele-Mental
Its a tidy little game with a lot of fun challenging content, for the price there’s no reason not to pick it up and give it a go.

Been waiting ages for this game to be released and now it’s here!
Great game, with endless hours of fun. Perfect for sticking on with a couple of mates around, or, sinking a few hours in on your own, trying to get those high scores!
Would definitely recommend giving it a download. Congrats to the developers!

Iron Crypticle
A very cool shooter with graphical and thematic nods to my favorite arcade games of the 80’s.
I love the artistic vision, style, and the individual tile graphics especially the fruit/food are top-notch. Sound is just right and beefy in just the right spots and smooth as silk in others. The music is wonderfully trance-like yet suitably intense.
Two game modes, either Endless which is exactly as it sounds or the vaguely titled “New Game” which is a run of 4 levels over a series of different rooms.

What an amazing old school twin-stick. Feels like it could be an arcade classic. With all of the twin-stickers I own, this, Cactus and Tormentor x are my most played. Out of the 3 though, this is the closest to my heart. Perfect.
- A quick update*
Endless mode is easily the best thing I have in my steam Library. It has become my most played and most entertaining game I own. No lie. I play a game or 2 just about every day. Congrats guys, this game now sits next to Ms. Pac man, Donkey Kong, Mr Do!, Centipede and Robotron 2048 as one of the very best old school arcade experiences I have ever played. If I could only have one game to play for the rest of my life, I have a feeling it would be this. Its so sad more people didn’t play this one. One last note….I have been gaming for over 40 years and I play everything. I own every console and just about every good game for them, AAA down to the most obscure games you never heard of. A $10.00 Twin- Stick shooter sits on top of all of them all. Quite an achievement.

Iron Fisticle
man, what an AWESOME game. i’m a huge fan of arena twin-stick shooters, ever since robotron and smash tv.
gameplay is very simple. shoot monsters, eat fruits and veggies. (oh, and junk food later)
sweet graphics that i can only assume that try to trick you. that’s not a tomato you are trying to pick up, that’s a bomb. :D hey, is that a green apple or a slimey thing? haha
i love how you continue to improve your character over time; it really adds to the replayability factor.
the seemingly simple bonus round, where you side scroll and collect coins, seems to always hand my buttocks to me. i think i got to the end twice out of the 30 or so times i’ve played one.

I approached this game with caution. It sure looked like a variant of the original gauntlet (one of my favorite games of old) and I didn’t want to be disappointed (as I was with the recent Gauntlet remake).
At a first glance the pixel graphics, resemble the original much more than its name sake, however the similarities don’t end there as in many ways it does resemble it. Is it a worthy successor ? well I am not sure about that, its a nice try and I must say that with a little bit more work it could have been truly great. Don’t get me wrong, it is a wonderful game and one that offers lots and lots of fun, but unfortunately it is a bit shallow. Each battle takes place in a single room stage, so there is no exploring with a horde of monsters on your heels and the variation of weapons and specials is a bit limited, especially after a few runs.
