Blockbuster Inc.

Blockbuster Inc.

A fresh system based game for simulation fans

In Blockbuster Inc. you will take total control of your very own movie studio. You will be able to construct all the facilities, hire and manage all sorts of employees and stars with the aim to produce the most prolific films and Tv. There are 3 pillars of the gameplay:

Freeform construction system

An intuitive and deep construction system allows you to plan, build, decorate, clone and expand your studio with ease. Further link your road system, landscape the lot and create a smooth utility system to get the best out of your employees.

Play through the decades

Each passing decade affects the gameplay and visuals accordingly, from the way your employees and stars dress, the cars they drive, as well as their physical attributes. Random and historic events will spice things up for your studio.

Manage unique employee types

Not every employee is similar, stars like Actors, Directors and Producers require more attention than your average construction worker. Managing employees is fun, thanks to the randomly generated character traits for each employee. Will your main actor be a diva or a smooth operator?

Interactive product process

Control the different phases and parameters for your Films and TV shows, from choosing the sets, outfits, stunts and all sorts of options that tailor your products to your desires.

Our mission?

A one-of-a-kind experience. There has been no other game in the past decade to match the unique experience that Blockbuster Inc. is. That we promise.

Little Lives

Little Lives

If you’ve played Life Quest 2: Metropoville, you will see some similarities with this game but it adds some additional features that are pretty charming. The driving system is goofy and enjoyable in small doses. The little quests your friends send you on are at times endearing and others aggravating (just like real life, lol!) As others have said, content is slim right now but the product as it is now was worth the price for me, a huge life sim fan.

I do wish the dev made a way to cancel the “drive to” animation (other than hitting escape and pausing the game), as sometimes I click a place and then decide I want to do something else. Also an “arrival time” estimate would be great when clicking-to-drive. Additionally, being able to check job requirements without travelling to the employment centre would make life easier!

So this is really an adorable, simple and easy game. I liked that there was a driving aspect to the game, which I don’t normally enjoy in sim/management games. The driving didn’t feel as touchy or sensitive as normal driving games, but the biggest portion I enjoyed was being able to press space and allow the game to drive to locations for me when the cuteness of the driving wore off (again, not normally a fan of driving aspects in games). The game itself is really straight forward and a bit too easy. You have to eat, sleep, rest and socialize. Getting a job is the major aspect of this game and it’s quite easy to move up financially (don’t need to get a bank loan at all). I was able to get 2 full adult degrees plus over $10k in about 6 hours. So “beating” the game doesn’t take very long. It would be nice if they added more things to do or balanced out the stats a bit to make it a slight challenge.

Diesel Brothers: Truck Building Simulator

Diesel Brothers: Truck Building Simulator

My first time installing a lift kit and I don’t have a clue where anything goes. Not a clue as to why I can’t something. I figured it out eventually, and it was a loose bolt on the frame preventing me from installing the leaf spring mounts.

Going from delivery area to work area is annoying, the workspace is a hangar. Spring compressor, tyre machine (which auto sets the bead) and work bench are all too far away.

The currency for some reason has the symbol at the end, there should be an option for English (on the left), or ROW, for those who are used to the symbol at the end.

I must say, the game is amazing! There is definitely some things that need to be fixed. Those things will be in this review to be fixed. There is some things I would like to see added too.

Need to be Fixed:

1. tools bouncing: When I drop things, they bounce a lot. For example, the painting tool. When I drop it onto the floor to get another part to paint, the tool jumps around and I almost lose it.

2. Engine Hoist: The hoist works well, but when you put an engine on it, you can’t get the engine off unless you put it in a vehicle. I sold the truck I had it in, and now it is stuck on the hoist. I cannot use the hoist anymore on this specific account due to this.

Asteroid Impact Survival

Asteroid Impact Survival

Asteroid Impact is a simulation game where you have to prepare yourself for the end of the world. With your own hands, you must get resources and build a shelter that can withstand a world-shattering crash.

You may be the only survivor.

A huge asteroid is approaching Earth. You have only 30 days to prepare yourself for the apocalypse. You have to be fully prepared before living on the planet becomes a nightmare.

There’s no stores, no other people who could help you. You must earn supplies yourself hunting in the woods and collecting edible plants and mushrooms available nearby.

Use what you can to build a bunker that will survive an asteroid attack. The more resistant it gets, the longer you’ll be able to survive.

Your bunker is your new home now. Stay alert and take care of it – it’s the only safe space which separates you from the dangerous environment outside. Repair and arrange your shelter so that it protects you and is as cozy as possible in these difficult, rough times.

  • Dig, get materials and build your own shelter

  • Harvest and hunt to collect your food supplies

  • Repair and arrange your bunker in most sufficient and comfortable way

  • Prepare for the apocalypse in 30 days

Your life is in your own hands.

Blimps

This game is fantastic. It’s a roguelike, not quite like instant death, but in that, you can potentially end up in a crushing amount of debt based on how crappy of a captain you are. But if you are an excellent decision-making-capitalist-smuggling-hacker, you can dig yourself out of any hole you might find yourself in this game. Besides, you can always just start a new game.

There’s a bit of a learning curve, but it’s not that hard to read the Help tips and what Falcon tells you to do. I like the fact that it has its own way of doing things. The game itself is like an operating system mainframe. It reminds me of FTL and a bit of the old school PC Sim City that had all those secret text-based codes!

I really enjoy this game, but it’s not for everyone, especially people who only play modern games. This game is purposely trying to appear as a classic Commodore 64 game. That alone makes it interestingly enough to pick up. The art seems perfect for the tone of the game, which is somewhat silly in places while still never overshadowing the rest of the game.

The reason its not for gamers who only play contemporary games is because it almost too perfectly emulates a C64 game you picked up from a garage sale with no manual. It provides almost no instruction of what to do or how to do it. The first 10 minutes are going to be spent trying to figure out how to leave the hangar. You’ll be flying around slowly putting together what does what and where you need to do what in. Heck, there isn’t even any auto-save (at least, none that I have found).

Croppy Boy

Croppy Boy

It’s fun little game to mess around with.

The controls are a bit weird and will need awhile to get used to.

Controls :

included W A S D and Z (for tackle people, they’ll drop stuff on impact but.. it costs you stamina, will talk about this more later.)

  • A for dropping stuff you have (will drop crops first, then seeds)

  • S for tool actions (for watering crops, plow dirt, and seeding)

//it depends on your selected tool (choose with 1,2,3 or 4) also sickle is pretty much useless since you can cut glass without it.//

A cute, fun farming game with unique gameplay that makes it a great game to play in short bursts with a group of friends. If you are looking for a serious farming simulator or some ultra-complex strategic multiplayer game, this isn’t the game for you, but if you just want something that you can hop right on, spend less than 5 minutes learning the controls, and have fun – definitely check this out.

It’s also free-to-play without a cash shop for overpowered items or paywalls restricting what you can do. Definitely refreshing to see a game like that these days, given much worse games in the free-to-play category often try to shake you down for cash these days.

A fun, yet somewhat challenging cooking management game. If you enjoy games like ‘Cook, Serve, Delicious!’, ‘Cooking Dash’, & you like the idea of playing theses games in VR, then Sep’s Diner is definitely a game you should check out.

(I had won this game back in August, during a contest that Scale-1 Portal held.)

I really like this game and I had it on my wish-list for a while coming up to the release date.

When I first started playing it really felt like a community driven game which is really nice to see, like what I mean by this is it’s not hard to get in direct contact with the developer to talk about the game and that’s pretty damn cool.

From being in the Discord server, the community along with the developer are both really friendly. Johannes (Developer) Is a really friendly and co-operative person and can take feedback really well and is on top of any bugs/issues very fast. His response time is a lot better than 90% of developers I’ve contacted and when I had an issue it was fixed within an hour. So that’s already a plus for me, even if I didn’t enjoy the game.

If you are reading this in six to twelve months time, this should be an instant buy if you play tycoon games. This is a fun and highly enjoyable tycoon game that I have had a fair bit of enjoyment out of. If you are reading this in October of 2021, my advice would be to wait six to twelve months. The base of this game is fantastic, it is a bit lacking in content though, and can become quite repetitive due to the lack of content (especially in the choice of festival sites), as well as a couple of bugs which do make gameplay harder to enjoy. This is quite typical for an early access game, of course, but it does need to be mentioned. However, unlike some other early access games, the developer is super on top of things and does a great job at communicating with the audience, so I have no doubt that there will be in the very near future new content to keep it fresh and challenging, as well as constant bug fixes. Overall, this should either be a get this game, or will end up being a get this game.
