The game is set in alternative Russia of the 19th century. Gloomy and sinister, at the same time enchanting world.

Gameplay focuses on the story unusual for the genre. The tedious and confusing “Russian-style” tale, presented in an unexpected arthouse style.

Controlling two characters, you go on a difficult journey, solving either puzzles or psychological problems of the heroes.

The Lost Legends of Redwall™: The Scout Act 1
I will begin stating I have been following this project since nearly its inception and announcement to be funding via Kickstarter. This is for all intents and purposes an early access prototype meant to glean feedback from people like myself. Do not buy this game at this moment, if you are expecting it to be 100% complete and ready to play. It is early access for a reason. Giving it a negative review for being incomplete after willfully purchasing it as early access content is ignorant.
I do recommend it full heartedly for those who are willing to pick through, nail down details that can be improved upon, and are willing to provide that feedback to the developers. I’ve played through the polished level multiple times now. I still feel like I have missed things, and each time I have played I’ve found something new.

This game is a hot mess, and it really doesn’t need to be. Redwall is special to me. As a young child I loved the books. I was fairly obsessive about reading them, and I was for years. I could recite the plot of almost any one of the books, despite how long it’s been since I’ve read any of them. I was surprised to learn there was a Redwall game in development, I first heard about it in 2014. When the game came out on steam early access I bought it within the first month, it was one level, and extremely buggy, but it had promise. I would play it for a little while whenever there was an update, until it stopped working.

G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout
I do recommend this game, albeit with some caveats.
G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout is an old-fashioned third-person shooter with 17 missions, across which you get to play as twelve characters total (six each for the Joes and Cobra). The game is obviously a love letter to the original 80s cartoon, and given the comments the developers make in the art book, they worked with what they had and would’ve make a more robust game if given the choice. If you like G.I. Joe and don’t boot up the game expecting a triple-A title, I think you’ll have a good time.

I honestly couldn’t tell you why this game got so slammed at release. I picked it up in a Fanatical Platinum bundle and powered through the whole thing in one sitting - and it was worth every penny. Definitely a budget title, but between the self-aware humor, earnest appreciation for the IP, and damn fun action (even the vehicle sections!), Operation Blackout might actually be the first genuinely GOOD G.I. Joe game!? It basically is like if Volition’s Agents of Mayhem was a linear action game rather than a sandbox grind, and it works so much better as a result!

LIRE
The stage where the story takes place is atmospheric and scary, and the diary in the game is also terrifying. There are also various riddles and gimmicks to solve, making it fun to explore. And Eve is so cute. The way she hides from enemies is Eve-like and very good. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

This is my first impression of the game since as of right now, only Chapter 1 is available while the rest of the game will come as time passes. Once the game is complete, my opinions may be subjected to change and then and only then will I give a grade.
When I read that this game is inspired by Ib and The Witch’s House, it made me want to play this game for this October as I already planned on reliving all my favorite RPGMaker Horror games on said month; And that’s what I did, saving LIRE for last. As I played LIRE, it was a treat seeing some similarities with the other games I recently replayed.

Raccoon Arrival
Raccoon Arrival is a walking simulator by a single developer. For his first game, this is a sterling effort.
My interpretation is that the raccoon is going back to his past searching for his friend. The story is quite sparse and is shown by brief flashbacks when the raccoon reaches certain spots of the environment.
The main gameplay is running along picking up crystals on each level and reading glowing notes and chomping on food. The latter are usually colourful donuts or slices of pizza which are very hard to miss. The glowing notes flesh out the story more. Gameplay is very easy and relaxing, so suitable for children. Very easy to 100% achievement!

Interesting game. Nice visual. Has potential to be something more in the future if the devs want to.
P.S. This review comes from a fellow raccoon.

Evil Seal
Evil Seal is an action horror game inspired by the Apocalypse of St. John.
The story begins when the first of the Seven Seals is broken and the first of the Four Knights begin to spread confusion and destruction on Earth.
The new Messiah, the devil’s son, manages to create a new religious cult by performing initial miracles, with many followers. The “miracle-people” discover the price they have to pay soon: a few months after the miracle, their bodies are emptied of all traces of humanity. The new religious order followers will be transformed into beings with no rationality or control, hungry for human flesh and incapable of feeling.
Kamikaze Veggies
Red, communist vegetables want to take control over the world. Only a special squad of veggies - warriors can stop them. If you like absurd humor and a breath of adventure on your back, then you’ve come to the right place!
Kamikaze Veggies is a game where the wrong move means death. Keep your eyes peeled! You need to be focused to react quickly to a threat. If you are smart, you have a chance of a successful mission. When the frontline situation is dire, use a suicide blast. This is the specialty of the rebel crew.
Red communist vegetables are your enemy. They are cruel and ruthless bastards. They want to take control of the whole world. Reds are better armed, and their troops contain GMO mutants - extremely aggressive beasts.
Get ready for a deadly encounter. War is not a place for cowards!

Star Control®: Origins
I have broken this review into a few sections, because I feel like what you need to know depends on where you are coming from.
You played Star Control 2, and liked it a lot?
You should like this game. It basically follows the same formula in terms of story and gameplay, but with some welcome improvements, such as an automatic story log where you can review key details of past encounters, and a searchable star map with the ability to add your own bookmarks.
There are also some other subtle improvements. Enemy factions have more than one type of ship you will encounter, bringing added variety to combat. Your own allies will only provide one kind of ship, but your flagship can be equipped with a wide variety of different types of weapons and other abilities.

tl;dr; A beautiful and very funny adventure which is drowning in grindy, under- or mis-developed mechanics. [Verdict: 2/5]
=========================================
I have bought the game myself and completed it.
Let’s list all the positives first:
-
Very good art direction overall. Graphics, animations, aliens: all are very well done and a joy to look at.
-
Good story. Nothing super-original, but good enough with some minor twists and turns.
-
Interesting lore: using the main and also side quests there is a lot background information which enriches the world of this game.

The Frosts: First Ones
I want to like this game a lot. The story is interesting, it takes an hour or two to complete, the music is lovely and the game is so pretty that this alone makes the experience worth a couple of euros - especially if one likes to support indie game makers.
However, the English translation is so bad that there were times I couldn’t understand what the main character was trying to say. When I got to the end of the game, a text box was bugging out of screen so I missed some parts of the story.
The game is basically a short interactive story with a couple of rudimentary puzzles. The logic of the puzzles was pretty fuzzy, but I managed to get through them by clicking blindly. There isn’t much to do in the game and no way to influence the story. Movement is clunky at best.

Explore a scenic land of ever-winter looking for your missing friend in this interactive narrative.
I love the attention to nature in this game. As you hike though the beautiful and mysterious landscapes, animals will jump out and fly away. There were also descriptions for some of the plant life. It was cool.
The game play has a chill exploration vibe with a few events, challenges, and puzzles along the way. I struggled to know where to go at times, but eventually found my way. The environment was pretty to look at, so I didn’t mind having to really explore to find my way.
