Problems in Alpha

These are in order of when I discovered them. This was through multiple playthroughs of the beginning of the game.

Anyways, here we go:

1. Camera sometimes moves to a Blue Background when completing certain dialogues/most actions. Pressing ESC twice fixes this problem.

2. Captain’s Quarters is visible from the front of the ship.

3. Rosie’s quest line doesn’t have animations. Dialogue just progresses without any on-screen movement, Arthur sits on nothing while waiting for the fish, Rosie asks if he wants something to drink but gets no reply, after the cooking sequence, rosie is standing near the life preserver and is talking to arthur from across the room.

this game is very very sensitive and is pretty much unplayable for me at this point. the first time i played it all went well untill i gave chris his bottlecap and went outside to talk. a message popped up saying i should report thid issue and the second time i tried it happened a bit earlier on when i went to talk to jazz, the chat started to freeze after the cutscene of the crab coming out of the trumpet. i managed to get out of it and started gliding around strangely and when i tried talking again it gave the same issue message as the first time. i ignored it and went to do chris' quest but got the message again at the same point as the 1st time i played. and i can look past the grammar/spelling mistakes and minor bugs like getting stuck or having a hard time breaking the barrel or not saying to press E at things while moving as a head. but this literally makes the game unplayable.

Very fun game. Streamed this game the other night and had a ton of fun while constantly dying. Definitely worth a play and you could put hours into this game with the created levels by the devs. Maybe an update could be user created levels by the people to be submitted (as an idea of course) and it could make things a whole lot more interesting :)

Predecessor

Predecessor

Predecessor is a third person MOBA currently in Development.

You and four allies join arms in battle as you fight for glory on the battlefield against enemy heroes on a traditional 3 lane map featuring an interactive jungle, epic monsters and more!

In a match 10 players are divided into two teams with each player controlling their chosen hero. No two heroes are the same. Each hero has their own unique abilities and design, meaning there’s a hero to match everyone’s style of play. Heroes complete objectives to collect gold like killing minions, towers or enemy heroes. As a hero collects more gold they can buy items from the shop that influence their heroes in interesting ways - allowing them to teleport to new locations, go invisible, freeze time and more. Items also allow a hero to get more powerful by giving their hero better attributes such as power, attack speed, health and various other stats.

Unlike most MOBAs, Predecessor puts you into the heart of the action. The Third-Person perspective fully immerses you into the game as enemies appear from shadow walls, over ledges or from behind you.

I absolutely LOVE this game and have for a very long time obviously since I’ve played it a lot as is evident from my hours (there is also even more hours besides whats shown on just Steam alone). I put a lot of my time, money, effort and care into this game for many years and I don’t regret it even with the crazy amount of time and money I put into it.

If we are going to judge the game solely on game-play alone then it’s awesome and a really fun and great game but it does have some issues with bugs (not too many but still they exist especially old bugs that should’ve been fixed a long time ago), servers suck too, unbalances within the game-play like gods (usually the newly released gods tho) and matchmaking oh god the MATCHMAKING like don’t even start me.. However no game is perfect and so regardless of those I’d almost recommend it just for the fact alone that it is a good game and for how much I love it, however I cannot look past the MYRIAD of other problems it has beyond just game-play and namely things like the greedy+useless Devs and the toxic community.

Keeping in mind that this is an early access game, I went in with pretty low expectations. So this game completely encapsulated me. While it may not initially seem like there is a lot of content, you’ll quickly find exactly how deep the rabbit hole goes, with the ability to upgrade your characters after ending a match, carrying items between games, and a plethora of items and upgrades to use while playing. It very quickly becomes a surprisingly expansive game, compared to it’s initial appearance, and mind you, I only finished round 1 at the time of this review. The combat system feels fluid, and the the game runs very well on my low-mid end computer, even on the highest settings, and man oh man, are there a lot of settings to give the game a completely personalized feel.

Real player with 17.9 hrs in game

I’m impressed.

The game is very early of course, and there’s not a whole lot to do, but the developer takes criticism and fixes problems actively.

You can never tell how long a person will work on something before getting bored, but so far the fixes and additions are frequent.

So far the FPS has improved, many crashes have been fixed, and random content updates are being pushed out frequently.

Good

-Basic mob defense game with good customization.

-Decent controls with ability to remap

-Decent graphics but nothing special

Chromalition

Chromalition

The actual game looks good, but that’s really the only thing it has going for it.

Problem #1: The main menu has no design and is just basic buttons on a black background.

Problem #2: The options do not work. At all. None of them.

Problem #3: The controls.

Problem #3a: The controls are only really explained for those using controller, not those using keyboard.

Problem #3b: The mechanics are inconsistent - I still cannot consistently do the “wall run.” 90% of the time I just jump at the wall and fall down.

Brief but fun

Chromalition is a skating game a la Jet Set Radio that feels like it’s been mashed up with Splatoon. This game is super fun to play! You have a few main mechanics: turn flat, skate, grind, wall run, double jump, and kicking off drones. I love combining these moves in different ways. Feels like it has so much speedrun potential. The music slaps, and the art is so bright and colorful. It was awesome seeing the company’s “makeover” at the end (no spoilers here! Go check it out for yourself) It’s a pretty short experience. It only took me about 20 minutes to play through the whole thing. Perfect for a brief reprieve from working from home. Definitely would recommend!

Noise Hunters

Noise Hunters

Very creative little stealth game! It’s short and sweet, a bit confusing at times, and the difficulty is NOWHERE near linear - but it’s more than worth your time, especially for a free game.

The vision system is more than a little disorienting, but it’s fun after a couple of levels - and by the end you really do feel like you’re unstoppable.

Definitely give this one a shot, if you have the patience to get the hang of it. You won’t regret it!

A completionists opinion:

The robots are blind and no one paid the electric bill so you have to go in with your fancy goggles that show you noise instead of like… night vision.

Value for money: Well its free so…..

Story: You have to go and destroy a doodad that the robots need, not much to it.

Art style: Very sparse, but has a real style to it.

Audio: Atmospheric sounds and music really lend to the… atmosphere.

Glitches: The levels seem to slow down the longer you play them, not too bad.

Stick long enough with this disaster of a game and you’ll find true worth of it. It’s worse than the actual sh*8.

They want to loot money through Micro-Transactions. Now hold on!! I would’ve have said earn and that would’ve been completely fine if only they would have been somewhat serious about fixing the damn game. But no, all I see are more ways to loot money while they keep introducing new bugs update after update. At this point, they are literally features of this game.

You know what the funny thing is? Go on and check most of the positive reviews. How much time did they spend on this game to write the review LoL. Looks can be deceiving, right!

I have some very mixed feelings about this game and wasn’t sure if I should recommend it or not, but in the end it’s a fun game that’s absolutely free, so there is no way I cannot recommend this.

The reason for my mixed feelings are the following:

The game is free and has great gameplay. The characters feel good to control and the general gameplay loop is engaging. It also has a variation of modes that feel quite unique from each other. As a result, you’re less likely to not enjoy any of the modes.

Terrible voice acting, just some dude with a terrible voice changer. Very repetitive stages. I will admit it’s fun, to an extent. It’s not really something new every stage. Plus it’s a bit glitchy at times. For example, when jumping it doesn’t always get you up to the platform you wanna be on. I’m not saying it’s one of the worst games out there but it’s FAR from the best. Even as a f2p game, it’s very disappointing. Get this game if you want, but I’m just trying to save you from the cringe and overall torture this game is.
