so along with some bugs and lack of directions i’m finding this game a challenge to play. i figured out how to get to warehouse level. but right now i have no clear understanding what to do next to progress in this game. so i guess i just experiment til it seems i have the right employees and my warehouse seems somewhat organized. no tutorial right now being as it played my first game and now is non existant.

Monster Jam Steel Titans 2
+Great physics and graphics, if you are familiar with the behavior of the CRD Monster Truck in BeamNG you will find little flaw in this, but it is Forza-esque “simcade” in that you have lots of assists on tap, making it easy to learn and hard to master.
+Responsive controls, advanced options for separate rear steering and manual transmission
+Decent wheel support, good FFB
+Fun variety of racing and stunt modes
+Great trick scoring and combo system
+Huge hub world and colorful graphics make it feel a bit like a ’90s 3d platformer but you are a monster truck.

I originally wrote a positive review for the game calling it a fun arcade Monster Jam game with some neat overworld exploration. I’ve now put about 32 hours into the game and am working on 100%ing it, however I really do not think that will be possible. I’ll get to that.
First the good. If you want to drive around some Monster Jam monster trucks, then boy do I have a game for you. The driving is pretty arcadey, but I don’t hate it at all. It takes some getting used to before you stop rolling on every turn. I like a lot of the world secrets, finding them was actually pretty fun. There’s a decent truck selection, the arenas are really nice looking, it has a (very basic and underwhelming) photo mode, ect. There’s things to like about this game.

The Dead Tree of Ranchiuna
Overall: 8/10 (With caveats)
This is a visually fantastic game, packaged with an excellent, atmospheric soundtrack. But, let down by very mediocre game-play, puzzles and poor voice acting and script writing. It attempts to explore the topics of guilt, revenge, jealousy and greed but approaches them with the subtlety of a 12 year old.
The first hour or so was a really great experience, very calming and simple. But, when the game started to introduce a plot and very, very limited ‘puzzle’ use, that tranquillity fell apart quite quickly. The feeling of peaceful relaxation and leisurely enjoyment was replaced with frustration, as the puzzles are little more than clicking objects until you have either clicked them in the correct order, or enough times. Otherwise, it is simply as it says, a walking simulator.

I consider “The Dead Tree of Ranchiuna” to be a really decent game for my taste, which is to say, I am a fan of story-driven slow moving games of poetry and mystery.
Imagery, sound and music are fine. Voiceovers are good in general, though the narrator’s performance lacks a bit in nuance - but this might be due to the script, that suffers from the same problem.
The scenery is beautiful and rich in detail, a variety of animals announce their presence, water gurgles, wind rushes, rocks fall.
The music emphasises the poetry and solitary harshness of the landscape.

Monarch of Greed - Act 1
It is one of those “first-person walking” games in which you wander around a completely non-violent experience exploring the environment and unravelling the story.
Monarch Of Greed Act 1 is a game about walking from A to B.
If this does not sound like your type of game, then I would not recommend playing it. However, I enjoyed this game because the atmosphere was captivating.
The game begins with a slow and kind of annoying intro that gives the player a set of answers and responses to choose from that set the stage for the plot and player’s background.

Monarch of greed comes across to me as a hark back to 90’s, the art style, with a bit of anime style thrown in. There is a lot to luv about this game, that in the graphics which are clear and well presented, the controls are simple and easy to learn, but since monarch of greed is more like a walking sim, the controls are not over complicated. You can see Lledgames has gone to a lot of hard work in making this game.
The switching between characters is a nice idea and so is the story, the story moves forward at a even pace, but at one point it leaves you high and dry not helping you out, or even giving you a clue to which way to go.
