Battle Command
Before 1990, if you wanted to control an assault tank you either had to sign up to Her Majesty’s Armed Forces, or settle for the basic side-on or top-down computer graphics of the day.
Then there was Battle Command.
The game sees you take command of a futuristic assault tank, dropped by Helicarrier right into the middle of the action on the battlefield. While many other 3D efforts of the time resulted in confusing wireframes or framerates measured in spf instead of fps, Battle Command’s fully-filled polygons were a breath of fresh air… until that air was filled with the acrid smoke from the burning wrecks of enemy buildings and vehicles!
With multiple camera views allowing the player to sit in the belly of the beast or to see the action from a third-person perspective – a real innovation at the time – this much-loved ‘command’ game focused more on outright fighting that the strategic elements of similar titles. Yet it was not all simply ready-aim-fire; the player still has to equip the most suitable ammunition to satisfactorily complete each one of the exciting and varied missions.
According to the original box art:
_Set in the near future of an alternative reality, Battle Command is an arcade/strategy game in which the player controls a single ‘Mauler’ Assault Tank in one of sixteen scenarios in the ultra-war, fought between two dominant races in the New World. The latest phase of this north/south war has been going on for over ten years with a stalemate eventually developing – a stand-off between armies massed over a long dug-in battle front.
Such are the defensive capabilities of each side, full scale assaults are suicidal, so any offensive moves are, by necessity, small behind-the-lines actions performed by elite troops in specially designed vehicles. The Mauler is the latest such machine – capable of being lifted in and out of hostile territory by fast stealth choppers and armed with the most advanced weaponry the northern sides can devise.
First into Battle…

Tanky Tanks
Cool game, brightened up my evening)
I recommend it to those who are tired of standard projects and want to have fun with something new.
Convenient and beautiful menu, the simplicity of the gameplay pleases …
There is a balance in the game, which is very pleasing, thanks! The developer has clearly tried on his product, the game is worth its money.
The game has a system of achievements, which is very pleasing))
Here is such a short “reviewer”, if I may call it that. Good luck, I’m waiting for similar games from the developer)

Stay Alive On The Tank: Explosive Shells In The Darkness
I like the destructible map online and a coop mode where you should protect the base from enemies. Good game to have a fast paced pvp sessions with friends. Lol trees explode when you punch them and sometimes I was able to launch my tank into the air)

No other players online
and there’s like one game mode that lets you play with AI
so can’t really say its worth the price
Would be fun for about an hour with friends

Desert Thunder
This looks and feels like a budget title. It’s not great, but you’re likely to enjoy while it lasts (which isn’t long).
This is an arcade action game, not a simulation, as proclaimed in the description.. It reminded me a little of the 2001 remake of Combat, released a couple of years earlier. Whereas that fully embraced its arcade nature, Desert Thunder takes place in a more realistic setting and maintains a SOMEWHAT more realistic feel. I would argue this diminishes replayability and overall fun factor. The games keep things moving pretty fast, slowed down just a lttle so you remember you’re controlling a tank.

Desert Thunder is an arcade tank game that will not interest many people. The software suffering from several gameplay bugs, we will very often rail against the commands, the lifespan being average we will complain about the speed with which the game ends and the set being ultimately of no great interest, we will really wonder why we spent a handful of money to buy this title.
Graphics: 4.5/10
A desert-like graphic environment through which dunes, cities, refineries or airports follow one another, a few enemies, a slightly overpowered physics of the soldiers, several effects of explosion and tanks or planes to fight. Still, the whole is average and without real flavor.

Iron Front: Digital War Edition
Better then Arma but since the game spy shut down multiplayer is kinda hard to play now. Which was one of the best things on this game. Anyone that has a massive server and group still add me! The games singalplayer can be fun if you know how to make maps. Making a simple map is not that hard at all really. I do like it more then Arma. Deaths arnt so crapy looking. Just look up senarios online or use your imagenation to make a small simple map or a huge lag fest battle and have fun. This gmae should get more credit, but I will say it can be a time consumer when making a nice map. However its pays off most of the time.

Iron Front : Liberation 1944 tactical war simulator based on arma 2 engine so If you like
Arma iron front might be an interesting game for you
so now i’m gonna say a couple words bout story mode firstly as i think single really sucks moreover be sure that you’ll get bored
playing that piece of shit there’re so many buggs you can stuck in textures for instanse or just fall down through the damn earth right into the hell e.t.c yet some old animations from arma ruin the picture even multiplayer doesn’t work anymore

Tank Fantastic
you cant kill the tanks at all because they have pinpoint accuracy

The name speaks for itself! Fantastic! In general, the game is quite casual. It is clear what needs to be done from the first seconds. At maximum settings, it was made pretty. I think the developer needs to do more work on the fonts.

On the front line
Poor game - not even worth the $4.99 I paid for it. Game has lots of “bugs” - nearly impossible to play with the camera view you have. Don’t bother! They got me , but save yourself!!

Rubbish! Slowest tank I have ever come accross - little if any guidance or help on missions. Mappage ineffective. Don’t buy!

World of Tanks Blitz
Update 3.8 breaks the game with stupid changes, takes away things people grinded for for hours or paid for with real money, while making it so that you have to pay AGAIN to get at least some stuff back or grind for for years - literally. You got a couple tier 10 tanks, some premiums, a bunch of keepers from every tier? Good luck reequipping them - it will only take you TEN TO FIFTY YEARS if you dont play the fking r*rded missions. If you do play the missions, it will take you 1 to 5 years. Great change. Simply wonderful.

So the game is fun to a point. The tier system ranks player rating so if your a good player you quickly find yourself not being able to find a match on tanks under tier V. At tier V the price and cost of research quickly kicks in and becomes super grindy. To keep moving along you find staying with the 1 nation you are the meta for certain tiers.
so annoying when your tier V tank is high in the ranking and your player rating goes up and then your fighting in games vs 1 or 2 tier higher tanks. which then creates super bad mis matches.

Panzer Knights
UPDATED:
Panzer Knights is a very promising tank action game. It’s still rough around the edges and there’s a lot of development to go, but it’s well worth supporting and I would happily pay more for the complete product. Since my original review there have been many additions and improvements.
PROS:
-
Excellent visual design both in terms of the tanks and the characters. The artist and model maker did an excellent job.
-
There are good number of tanks and many crew characters to choose from, including lots of pretty girls - though there are men too if want to make it a little less gratuitously moe. Since the male and female crew have the same skillsets anyway, I imagine most of us are going to use the girls. As for the tanks, you get a decent variety of well known vehicles such as Panzer III, Panzer IV, Panther, and Tiger each in two or three variants.

Do you like tanks? Do you like World War 2 history? Are you a complete massive wehraboo? Then this is the game for you.
This game takes aspects from WOT and War Thunder. Specifically the arcadey shooting of the former with the realistic tank movements of the latter. The game is pretty fun, large variety of tanks and crews with some camos to unlock to give you a bit of customization. Crewmates can have their skills improved as you gain more money therefore allowing you to perform better on the battlefield.
