Fixed “Error 0xc00007b” which happened on 64bit Systems!!!**

Party game for 8 players. Game is about fighting against opponents with tanks using various weapons.

First player always play using keyboard where others can use joypads. Preferred are xbox pads. (Full support for all kinds of joypads is not guaranteed)

You can fight in teams (from 2 to 4 teams) or deadmatch.

Weapons are bullets, lasers and bombs.

Players can collect bounses with different effects.

To make tank temporary faster you have to press special button. Using speed depletes your energy bar.

Energy bar is also used for firing laser so you have to decide what is more beneficient for you: laser or speed.

Beta online play. ( To play online as server you need open internet port 45544 or change it)

For now online play is only with keyboard.

Green Steel

It’s a fun, well developed game! Multiple maps, controller support, and sound design that actually sounds like it’s supposed to! A typical tank game, as far as that goes.

Treadnauts

Treadnauts is the kind of game that hits all the bases. Everything I want from couch-gaming can be satisfied after playing just one match.

Pros

-It’s flawless movement mechanics make the game feel buttery smooth with a controller in hand.

-The art style is unforgettable, it’s suave and leaves a smile on your face.

-Jazz never felt so smooth, as in, the music is dope as heck and sticks in your head like a child’s favorite cartoon theme song.

-Caring developers who update the game regularly with relevant and meaningful changes.

Note: Review was updated after Early Access ended.

Fantastic game for playing with other people! The game mechanics are solid and the controls feel great. Development on the game has stopped so we won’t be seeing more content, but what we have right now is more than enough for playing with friends. The community surrounding the game has died down from the activity that it boasted during the Early Access period, but the small community that remains on Discord is very friendly.

I grabbed this game during the Steam Winter sale of 2020. For the sale price, i have to say it is a lot better quality than most of the games at the same price point from what i saw. While the game is built around local or remote play PVP versus mode, it also has a fun 16 level single player story mode. Each of the tanks you can play as all have their own unique feel and play style with pickups in game any tank can use. The game has a slight difficulty curve which is challenge while still being an engaging experience. What really stood out to me the most was the level design. Every level contains destructible environment elements to use to your advantage. All of the level have their own unique play style, adding variety to the gameplay. For the campaign all the maps available have their own unique challenges, which i would love to see added to a versus mode in the future. For example, the racing or more tower defense style defend modes with players switching sides. The game reminds me of a classic play style of Blastcorp and Blaster Master. I look really forward to seeing what future potential this game has. There is a lot this game could do to become an even greater and more engaging game. Mainly online net code that is not steam remote play dependent. I would love to see more stuff for the humans to do before getting their tank such as repairing the tank or acquiring some mission item. This could include stealth or gun play which would make the game have more depth along with building character story. If you want a fun casual couch co-op game to play with up to four people this is defiantly a potential buy for you. Even if you just plan to play the single player mode the game is very enjoyable.

I really liked the style and it’s very fun to play, specially if you can gather 3 more ppl, battle royales are chaotic in the way you want them to be.

The best thing I can say is that this is fine.

It does exactly what it says it does.

Archery flash game but 3D with tanks.

The option for local multiplayer is cool but it doesn’t really add anything to the original formula.

What a game!!!

Keep up the good work with more updates!!!

This game is a nice take on the classic Battle City from the old NES days. A one map, 4 teams of 2 tanks, 3D labyrinth where you play until you get 30 kills. It’s actually pretty addicting and has a lot of potential but there are a few things that need addressing:

  • The game desperately needs a better room creating system where you can easily play with other people. There are currently no people online at any time but even if there were - I didn’t find a way to create or join a specific room to play with your friends and not just random people. This is the biggest issue that needs addressing as the game would benefit immensely from the existence of a developed multiplayer system.

200 character summary

Tank Maniacs is a great chaotic Local brawler for up to 4 players, Choose a character and one of the gamemodes to Kill the competition with your tank and morph into other tanks by collecting pickups.

Story & Characters 7/10

There is not much of a story, There is a story, But that won’t play out in the game, There is just a small piece of text on the store product page, But I focus on the content of the game itself. The game seems to be some kind of gameshow where you have to battle tanks It has a very typical sports commentator. The game has 12 playable characters which all have their charm, They are very unique and have a bit of a personality. They don’t talk, but they all have a name, picture and a unique tank, which already tells a lot.

Ballistic Tanks

Ballistic Tanks

I initially said I couldn’t recommend this as they’ve made it so it only runs in 1920x1080 and went on a bit of a rant about it… ‘Seriously, there is nothing in this game that justifies anything close to 1920x1080, 800x600 would be decadent, this is just silly’…Etc etc. BUT! This is getting fixed! and resolution based running problems aside, it’s a truly awesome game.

It’s a close likeness to/an evolution of a game I played as a tiny kid in the 80’s called Battle Tanks on the Mattel Intellivision. I’ve been looking for something to scratch the itch that game gave me for about 29 years, if you’re casually hunting for the same thing, this scratches that itch and throws in a free metaphorical handjob for good measure.

Ogre

Ogre

*** Updated for v1.2.2.0 ***

Short TL:DR - A faithful translation of the original boardgame with lots of potential, but still rough around some edges. Overall, good enough to get your “fix” for classic Ogre, but G.E.V. is still a ways off and some minor bugs still need to be addressed. I currently rate it a 4 out of 5 (previously rated at 3.5).

I’m going to try to itemize the good and bad as much as possible so you get an accurate view of what the game (v1.2.2.0) looks like. I was part of the beta test and there are a lot of things that have been improved since the beta, but there’s still more work to do.

Real player with 471.3 hrs in game

I have experience with the Ogre 6th Edition board game, and this game feels very similar.

One thing I very much appreciate is that there are a few mechanics in place to speed games up. In the board game, if you target an Ogre’s treads, you have to fire individually with each unit doing so. In this PC game, you select your target first (like, the treads) then select every unit in range, and the game rolls for them all in sequence, faster than selecting each one individually. You can also stack multiple units on the same hex and move them as a group, which speeds up the process of closing with the opponent.
