Gold Rush! Classic Classic Sierra Adventure Games; So, that intro from the beginning makes me sigh from the inside. These games (for me) are memories of growing up and sitting on my father’s knee and learning about computers…(the next step involved constructing my own PC from scratch, but that’s a different story for a different time) Sierra INVENTED the adventure genre as far as I’m concerned, and “Gold Rush” is not only an excellent example of a classic adventure game, it is also the benchmark for self-involved concepts as well as being true to life history....

Time Commando Wow. I was only 7 the last time I had ever touched this game, that was all the way back in 2009. I got frustrated with Time Commando because of how difficult it was, never being able to finish the game after already halfway through it and eventually gave up. I ended up losing the disc somehow and when I did decide to give it another try I never found it again nor could I find another copy anywhere else, so I gave up looking and eventually forgot the game even existed....

Cursed West Looking for a good arcade-style run-n-gun a la Sunset Riders? Well, look somewhere else, tenderfoot! The developer, who has some talent, has made design choices that I believe drastically reduce the fun factor. There are only a few levels that give something akin to the expected arcade experience. One might call it a mosey-n-gun. The bullets move slower than in any arcade game, but they are still annoyingly hard to dodge....

DuelVox: Max Quality DuelVox: Max Quality is an offline first-person shooter made in western style. In this game there are many levels with different tasks, to complete them you will need ingenuity and dexterity, and sometimes even strategy. To hit all the enemies, it’s worth practicing on the targets, as the controls are unusual, but pretty straightforward. You will have to strain both hemispheres of the brain, since you need to control each hand separately, aiming and hitting the target clearly, because the ammo is limited, but this can be fixed by going into the store and pumping weapons as you earn coins....

Thief Town Thief Town is a perfect example of a indie concept gone right. It is one of the funnest local multiplayer games for my PC. There are not that many, but Thief Town stands out. It becomes a real blast as you franticly find and kill your mates, and the other gamemodes are creative, and don’t dum-down the experience. As a nice fresh concept, it is only local multiplayer. I am fine with that, the four-kids-cramped-in-a-basement gaming sleepovers I have settle the need for others....
