Into the Void I might have gotten this for free… if not it was from a cheap 1$ bundle. The game is a space exploration type of game with turn based combat. Although you can raid and attack planets, that battle is compleately automatic and you don’t even get to see it. Space combat can be played by AI or yourself and can’t be skipped. There is a research tree, where you unlock different ship types, weapon upgrades, shields, various boosts and more....
Lew Pulsipher’s Doomstar Doomstar is a nice, space-themed, turn-based casual strategy game with easy graphics and pleasing music, from a friendly dev. This game was made for pvp, the whole campaing is just a long tutorial, so buy it only if you plan to play it with friends or community members. The mechanics are partly close to chess - move with one unit at a time on a grid, fleets come out face to face - but it has significant luck factor too....
Space Grunts Pros: +1: Sounds and animations. Howling monsters and thundering explosions make the dungeon crawling feels like a rock show. +1: Secrets and clues. Beware of special walls and containers. +2: Unforgiving combat. It takes me 45 hours to beat the game for the first time. I really enjoys to solve in-game problems one after another. Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest TL;DR Druidstone is a story-driven turn-based strategy that feels like a puzzle in disguise. Depending on the playstyle, it can be either entertaining or frustrating. For the former, it is highly recommended to comply with the puzzle nature of the game. Also, there is no traditional RPG here, only some JRPG influences. Civil War: 1863 It’s a nice game especially for the price. Its a simple fun little game. There is some thinking and strategy involved. The AI has actually beaten me a couple times on normal difficutly which is extremely rare. It has worked great on my computer and was easy to learn. It is a good edition to a library because sometimes you only have an hour to relax and play....
