Captain Forever Remix This game is awesome. I’ve played plenty of 2D shooters in space, and this is by far one of them. I have a lot of praise and a couple of complaints. I’ll skip the praise because you can find that elsewhere, or just look at the gameplay for yourself. This game’s difficulty curve is ridiculous. Assuming you, like me, haven’t played the original game, you’ll be thrown into the gameplay right away with very little time to adjust to the unique mechanics of ship-building and combat....

Eternal Starlight VR Yup. 20 hours. Still enjoying this. Great place to hang out: Music, scenery, story (skippable, for when you’ve heard it), cool ship design, and options for ship upgrades are plentiful and cool looking in their own right. I love a place with a low-key theme, in which epic battles are played out – much better than chaos in every direction all the time. I enjoy playing the “same” scenario (it has some random alterations) more than once because this game allows for multiple strategies....

Space Pirates and Zombies GAME TYPE: 2D Space Combat Proberly THE best Top down space shooter you can get! When you unlock the capital ships you feel in a fight like Capt Kirk himself. Even after all these years, this game is still my personal favorite when it comes to 2D space action. But not only the combat, also the ship building elements, upgrades and story make this a fantastic game....

Void Vikings An interesting game… Recommended for a fans of twin-stick shooters looking for something a little different. The core concept of paying back a student loan by pillaging local star systems is both unique and provides some tactical options. Should you pursue an expensive yet effective degree and struggle to pay back both the principal and interest, or settle for a cheap but shoddy education and focus on upgrades? Ultimately, you need both the education and the upgrades, but the premise disguises what would otherwise be a transparent grind....

ADR1FT Not recommended for: People who enjoyed Firewatch, Gone Home, and other narrative driven first person exploration games. The narrative is missable, unimportant, and underdeveloped. Recommended for: People who fantasize about being isolated in space, and possibly have VR. I played without VR, I imagine it’s quite immersive. People who like meditative busy work games that have very little challenge. Review: There is a charm to this game, if you like games to be a sort of meditation, for all it’s problems I still kept playing it till the end....

Rocket Explorer A fun program/game that allows you to play around with a good amount of real-life rockets. There is a decent amount of bugs, and the GUI is not very intuitive.
