Virtual Home Theater Video Player I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet. As you see from my over 300 hours of usage that I use this exclusively. I purchased this when it was more expensive and never regretted it. I never got it for the audio aspect although it is impressive. I got it for the 3D movie playback. The Museum of ThroughView There isn’t a lot to this experience but I think it would make a nice intro to what VR can do. The various displays are just scenes that have been given depth by separating the various parts kind of like a pop-up novelty greeting card, but the effect is good. The museum is very nicely done. It only took a few minutes to race around and have a quick look at most of the displays, and I don’t know about replay value, but it does seem like a great way to introduce guests and friends to the ability of VR to take you to places and let you experience some cool stuff....
Virtual Becomes Reality: A Stanford VR Experience It’s a short yet affective experience that points a finger towards the possibilities that VR can offer to everyone in the world. RPG World - Action RPG Maker Where to begin? Diablo meets Disney, Never Winter Nights meets Legoland. This game is great on so may levels. Whether you like playing action RPG’s or you like to craft worlds/scenarios for your friends to enjoy, Single player, multiplayer, PVP, World editor. I can honestly say I’ve not found a game that appealed so much in a long, long time. Mostly it is FUN. Fun to build, fun to play....
Cubeetle - Game of creation There is still a big bug not letting you edit the first game in your list, it will let you edit the second one for some reason, not the first. Seriously just buy gameguru instead its so much more versatile and does not rely on unreal engine assets .. “for kids” Well I for sure think its pretty wrong to tell small kiddies this line...
BRINK Traveler Beautiful & breathtaking views look great in this VR experience. Looking forward to more locations to be added. One problem I faced during launch of the program (using my Oculus Quest-2) is the audio remaining on the PC speakers and not on the headset. Every time I have to manually change the audio device to the headphone of headset. Other thing I did not like is to separately downloading each scenery which takes a lot of time as they are pretty large and waiting during this time spoils the experience somehow....
RetroArch At last, the ultimate emulator front-end has arrived on Steam. As someone who loves playing retro games, RetroArch has been my personal preference for emulation for the past 3 or so years. While it takes a little getting used to, the features it provides and the emulation cores (the actual emulators) it has are superb. On top of simple emulation and your standard emulator quality of life (like save states, fast forward, rewind, etc....
Streamer Dancefloor This is so cool and I still haven’t scratched the surface of fully utilizing it. I was lucky enough to be part of the beta and it’s been a staple part of my stream ever since. All of the avatars, dances, animations and effects for donations and bits gives a whole new incentive for interactivity for my viewers. Along with multiple saveable camera angles, the ability to green screen it and customizing your backgrounds with jpg or video keeps things from looking static....
Virtual Cottage This program is not a game, but a timer, that you can use to track concentration sessions. It’s good to use with the Pomodoro technique. Some things that I suggest as an improvement are: allowing one more sound to be played besides (wind) and (fire), so that you could hear wind + fire + rain OR wind + fire + snow; and make a “mini view” possible, displaying “clock”, “minutes to go”, “sound effects” controls and “music control”, in a smaller window size....
