Shoot 'Em Up

1993 Space Machine I confess I purchased this mainly for the nostalgia factor. After completing 1993:SM I can say the tagline “celebrating games like Gradius, R-Type and Life Force” is realistic but tends to underestimate some bullet hell elements that are present in game. Bullet hell did indeed surface in year 1993 but was not a popular subgenre until the second half of the decade. What we have here, to summarize, is a mostly classic horizontal shooter, with occasional incursions in bullet hell territory - especially in some overcrowded passages where complex bullet geometries and bullet wave patterns tend to show up, challenging you to not only shoot but dodge, too....

GRIDD: Retroenhanced This game eats your quarters as you try to master it. It’s Starfox but you’re hacking the Gibson. Exactly the sort of game you’d expect to find at an arcade in the future if you were a character in Ender’s Game or Neuromancer. Gridd doesn’t hold your hand. You fail and then adapt from what you did wrong. You will be clumbsy at first. If you learn fast, you’ll reach a little farther with each go....

Galacticon Galacticon is a video game with the look and feel of arcade cabinet games from the early 80’sin the style of Williams classics: “Defender” or “Joust”, with the gameplay of legendary “Jetpac”, and with touches of “puzzle” to increase bonus points and enter your score in the local high score table or even in worldwide high score table. STORY: Humans are tiny creatures of an outer belt planet that thanks to their biomechanical monstrosities have invaded, exploited ans enslaved most species in the galaxy....

Secret of Harrow Manor 2 Do not buy – Real player with 0.8 hrs in game Read More: Best Hidden Object Co-op Games. Spent most of my time in the starting lobby, perhaps adding a control information for keyboard would be helpful. Game was clunky and controls were very rough. Aiming seemed to be impossible. SAMOLIOTIK Easy to play, easy to get a hang of. Explaination: In this game, you are a plane shooting and dodging planes, bugs, and other wierd things. Random power-up items drop and they do different things. For example, one can make you shoot three bullets at a time instead of 1, or another power up can speed you up. The bosses are pretty easy to defeat, since you dont really need to “kill it”, you just shoot it a few times and it will fly away (at least what I’ve seen so far)....

Freediving Hunter Spearfishing the World Truly a joy of a game. The game has good graphics but gameplay is very broken in a way that the first stage is named rookie cove, but the opponent is actually one of the hardest ones to beat....

BLUE REVOLVER If ever a game could be called a love letter to a whole genre, that game is Blue Revolver and the genre is maniac shmups. Anyone who has put much time into CAVE, Raizing, or Psykio’s classics will find themselves in familiar, yet fresh and unexplored territory. This sense of familiarity doesn’t come from superficial or visual similarities but the nitty-gritty design of the game, especially and most obviously the boss bullet patterns....

Hardwork Simulator That didn’t work for me. I got caught and got fired for it. They put a younger, prettier assistant in my place. But I doubt she types as fast as I do.
