Cavesweeper Been a fan of BankBank’s work from way back, some of the wildest games Ive ever played have pored out of this bountiful creative mind. Sally forth me if you wrong, but the Indie scene as we know it would basically not exist if not for BankBank… As for the game itself, I find it to be a maddeningly enticing combination of the Minesweeper template with some of the greatest storytelling endeavors of the early computer RPG scene… Wizardry 4, Ultima 4, Ultima 7 and Wizardry 6, 7 and 8 have all left their indelible marks upon this curious little sojourn....

Fear Equation I find it somewhat baffling that this mostly excellent game seems to have been released and then forgotten by most. While most games at least have a reddit sub dedicated to them, there is nothing for this game at all. Very few comments on indie game sites as well. Which is a shame, since it seems that, as a forgotten game, the chances of ever getting a sequel with enhanced mechanics is slim....

Burning Knight Gameplay: Fast and very replayable. The game balances well between extremely chaotic gameplay from Nuclear Throne and calmer gameplay from games like The Binding of Isaac. Content: There is really a lot of content, description of the game on steam says about that so I am just gonna say one thing: The big advantage of this game is that each item is not only different, but also there are almost no underpowered trash items....

We Slay Monsters Very fun little game. Even though the graphics and sounds are a bit generic, the game itself is fun to play, the “poker-esque” combat adds a nifty twist to the genre, sometimes making you consider what cards to use and what to save to build a good combo against a boss later on. Right now, the game’s a bit bare, only offering two quest types, arena quests and dungeon quests....

Lucky Tower Ultimate You can play a very early prototype of the game right now. The prototype will allow a glimpse into the first segment of the game. Lucky Tower Ultimate is a humor driven, narrative roguelike. The narcissistic, clumsy knight Von Wanst attempts to escape a mysterious tower in an absurd adventure....

BreakHack To be honest, this is the first true rogue-like that I have played. I previously never understood the draw to the genre, but since playing Break Hack, I am really enjoying it and will play others after this. This game is much more difficult than I expected. Perhaps difficult isn’t the correct word..maybe unforgiving is better? There are holes and labrynths that you can fall (to death) in. Add some wind, traps, pyromancer fire to that and you have to be VERY careful which direction you move each play....

For Sparta PROS: A decent variety of enemies. There are about 3-4 different skins for each monster, but they each have varying attacks and behaviours to keep things interesting. A large selection of craftable perks to potentially obtain. The controls handle well. Dodging and attacking feels responsive and enjoyable. Action-packed generally speaking. Enemies spawn in waves throughout a day, but if you take too long, the next wave will spawn in to keep you on your toes....

The Last Bastion Burdened with the responsibility of command after a catastrophic defeat, you are forced to flee through a country unraveling before the sword of a ruthless conqueror. Panicked and directionless, the people turn to you for help as you attempt to gather troops, resources and companions to mount a desperate defense. With the enemy close on your heels, keep moving to stay alive while mustering your strength, as you make for the last bastion of resistance to stave off complete annihilation....

Dice Legacy I picked this up on a whim, purely because I am a sucker for these hybrid dice games. While I do recommend this game, it still is a very flawed game and your appreciation of it will surely come down to your flexibility to cope with said flaws. A lot of games exist that are imperfect and this is one of them. What is fun? The core system of building up a unique dice pool, in real-time, with stamina and special powers is pretty fun....
