WRATH: Aeon of Ruin Boring; too easy. The visuals are great, the sound design is on point, the artifact system and the restriction of savescumming is a great innovation, the Armblade lunge functioning as a mid-air dash is an awesome idea, the gore and gunplay is especially UNF – but the game just flunks the enemy/level design. The levels are huge and detailed, but also meandering and too reliant on ez forgettable filler encounters....

Asteroids… But Roguelite The progression/choice is super cool. It captures this feeling I like from games like Asteroids and Galaga, but adds a whole new dimension where score matters (because you get money for upgrades from it), and you’re given meaningful choices. There’s a couple ways I’ve played it; 1. just trying to get the perfect score streak/multiplier through precision, or 2. brute forcing it with epic upgrades. I am #2 on the leaderboard at the time of my writing, and I felt somewhat godlike with my bombs, shotgun lasers, sniper, shield, max health, etc…...

Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King is a top down adventure game in the fashion of ye olde Zelda classics such as A Link to the Past. Though that much should be obvious from the screenshots and trailer but maybe you never played the old Zelda games, I dunno. Game is best played with a gamepad and doesn’t control well with K&M, though it’s not impossible if you have to play it like that....

The Inner World - The Last Wind Monk “The Inner World - The Last Windmonk” is the sequel to “The Inner World” and also a point & click adventure for beginners and advanced adventure gamers. And even though not having played the first game shouldn’t get in the way of solving puzzles and liking the game, I recommend playing the predecessor first. The sequel shows the fantasy world of Asposia, three years after the first game’s ending....

Fantamal HECK YEAH - I got an offer letter for college! It’s not Harvard or anything, but it’s still something… HUH!?? This place is NOT like what I’d imagined! My professor just gave me a couple of quick lectures - like some kind of in-game tutorial for noobs - and then ran off! Leaving ME to take care of his creepy-looking animals. Actually… I’m not even sure if these are even animals at all?...

Space Debris This is a great party game for rock-blasting retro space fun. I love the drop in/drop out feature and the massive number of gamepads supported. There’s also a bit more to it than you might expect: Several ships to choose from, each with their own unique style Bring dead allies back to life Collect space dust to power up Collect debris from destroyed alien ships to unlock new ships and upgrades...

FAITH: The Unholy Trinity On September 21, 1986, two priests arrived at the Martin Family home in rural Connecticut to investigate an apparent case of demonic possession. Only two people would leave the house alive. FAITH is a pixel horror game inspired by the era of classic 8-bit gaming and the “Satanic Scare” of the 1980s. Use your holy crucifix to perform exorcisms, fight back against possessed cultists, and cleanse haunted objects....

Snow Battle Princess SAYUKI | 雪ん娘大旋風 “Japanese fairytale style anime action game with cute snow girls” Snow Battle Princess SAYUKI. A fairly interesting game was released. This is similar to a fast-paced classic arcade action game or retro style top down scrolling shooter game. Its 2D pixel dot artwork is delicate and music is exciting. There was no problem with the controls, and the gameplay is smooth. The story seems to have been motif about Japanese fairy tale....

Rude Racers: 2D Combat Racing This is easily the best 2d combat racing game out there and I’m not even exaggerating! It reminds me of the old games I used to play on arcade, the art style is cartoony, characters are funny and music is mind blowing. The progression is quite linear and the later levels kept me engaged for hours where I had to dodge incoming attacks and time a counter blow while riding at high speeds and evade the contraptions all at the same time!...
