Sonic the Hedgehog 4 - Episode I When Sonic 4 launched in 2010, it marked the end to a 16 year drought of new 2D console Sonic games. Promising a return to the Blue Blur’s 16 Bit Roots, SEGA, Sonic Team and Dimps had quite the legacy to live up to. Unfortunately, while the game gets the things right, there are enough glaring flaws to prevent this from being a recommendation....
Flannel Amethyst bought the game on discounts the game is pretty average gameplay for 3 control for 4 elaboration of textures for 4- the idea is interesting, but the author still needs to try - a fact I played it for about 30 hours, the game is of average quality I would rather not recommend it, somehow good luck to the author! – Real player with 47.1 hrs in game...

Dust: An Elysian Tail Imagine if Disney joined forces with Rankin/Bass (producers of 1977’s The Hobbit , 1982’s The Last Unicorn and various cartoons like ThunderCats and SilverHawks ) and made a beat ‘em up RPG. Now imagine that instead of all that, one guy made a game that pretty much equals what you’d get otherwise. He didn’t have the relentless marketing or the massive capital of Disney, etc....

Most of the combat revolves around staggering, both the player and the enemies can repetitively attack to keep their enemy from taking action. Early in the game, the enemies take a lot of hits until the damage is upgraded. Surprisingly destroying chests/trees and other destructibles that drop items take too many hits....

Ayo the Clown I backed this game on Kickstarter and I think it is so much better than anticipated! It is such a colourful and fun platfurmer game. The art in this game is amazing, with such attention to small details. The 2.5D is used creatively with monsters and boss levels. At the beginning I thought it would be a bit easy but the levels become more difficult and intriguing as you go along, as well as adding side missions and charming little surprises....

Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus® This is honestly one of my favourite games of all time, I don’t usually do recommendations/reviews but I feel the Oddworld games have never gotten enough attention and I really encourage everyone to give this series a try. The game is absolutely amazing, it deals with issues like consumerism, class, culture, race all in one and yet despite the serious tones the game never strays from humour or trying to take itself too seriously while still being completely relevant in today’s world....
