Forsaken Flesh Kinda reminds me of Ghosts’n Goblins. Very difficult game, mainly because there is no savegame: if you die, you start all over. I tried with easy difficulty and I can barely arrive at the second world.. ELDERBORN SUMMARY: Although ELDERBORN bills itself as a “Souls-like FPS”, a lot of the videos show the player frantically slashing and smashing; this might give the impression of a more straightforward heavy metal “Doom with Swords” experience (with all of the high-ledge kicking action of a Dark Messiah of Might and Magic). In reality, what I got was a fairly thoughtful and measured experience consisting of dodging, parrying, blocking, and outmaneuvering dangerous enemies; survival, particularly at higher difficulties, was about fighting intelligently and limiting the number of opponents who could bash your head in at any given time....

Bombslinger Probably the closest to a legitimate Bomberman experience you’ll get to on PC, not just Steam, outside of emulation, and far more party-ready. The multiplayer is solid, and you can play online via Parsec (which I recommend if you’ve got a good connection for just about any local-multiplayer game). The single-player is fun and has all the highs and lows of any other rogue-like game. Other than a few very rare bugs that can occur (especially frustrating toward the end of a very powerful run), the game runs very smoothly and without issues on a large variety of hardware....
Burned Land Burned Land is a niche game, and a little gem to me. At first sight it might seem a little bit empty and obscure. Then it will seem very hard, even unfair. But if you push forward, you will discover a game with a very original approach, very rich and permissive in the ways you want to shape your kingdom and face the gods. In this game, you not only build units and facilities, you will also “monitor” your population (literacy, devotion, nobility, sedentary, etc....
Pixelpunk XL This game feels really good to control, it sounds cool, its aesthetic is really, really nice, and the missile launcher is incredibly satisfying to wield. My main complaints with the game involve the enemies, and the lack of a map. The entrances to other rooms are pretty small, and it can be sorta difficult to actually find them. Along with that, the enemies have a lot of health, either that or your starting gun just isn’t very good....
Vector Prospector A very fun and replayable roguelite. This is one of the only games I’ve played in the past year that I actually wanted to get back into and play again! The randomly generated levels give a new experience each time, and all the different enemies have their own interesting way of dealing with them. I do think the gameplay has a few flaws in the balancing, particularly with the powerups, but overall it doesn’t impede the fun too much....
Troubled Passage Troubled Passage is a Roguelike ARPG with a very peculiar combat system based on mouse swipes. This system allows for some interesting combat encounters that feel more engaging and rewarding. The mouse is an extension of your sword.
