Best 2D Platformer Narrative Games on PC

Unforgettable You A delightful free game with 20 chapters to play. The story of a man meeting the love of his life done in a beautiful silhouette style reminiscent of Amphora. A warning for those people who are not very dexterous. There are platform elements in this game, some requiring precision and others speed. Hence my lengthy time!! Each chapter has a different environment and they are just gorgeous. Some are darker than others....

Best 360 Video Narrative Games on PC

The Great C This short adventure cinematic is well-made, though it has some of that “indie” charm to remind that it has been made by a small team of enthusiasts, rather than a heavy-hitter like ILMxLab. Most of the characters' animations are motion-captured performances, though there are plenty of character movements that are stilted and robotic, which were obviously manually-animated. The characters are cartoony, but expressive. And don’t let the character designs fool you… this story is not for young children....

Best 3D Narrative Games on PC

Button City This game is one of the few ones that I have bought either as pre-order or within release week, and I am clad that I did. I really enjoyed playing and streaming this game, with its cute polygon graphics. It was interesting to see how well game works without any voice acting, only text and some sound effects when needed. However as expected, just released games still have some bugs and glitches, but I managed to find only two that either stops you from advancing without resetting the game or mini-game, or stops you playing altogether, one before and one after playing the game....

Best 3D Platformer Narrative Games on PC

The Plane Effect I loved this game for a great many reasons and I hope you will too! At its core “The Plane Effect” is a mystery puzzle game that unfolds as you meander through a dreamlike state, which often borders on the surreal and even nightmarish. One should note that this tale is depicted with an amazing artistry that stands unique even among the countless other “artistic indie games” out there, enacting a style that does not act simply as window-dressing but contributes to the experience on a fundamental level....

Best 4 Player Local Narrative Games on PC

Descent: Legends of the Dark The App is being supported well. Game play is fun and innovative. It still feels like Descent. I like the streamlined changes to the fatigue system. I like the combat system better now that there isn’t a 16% chance of whiffing. You might do very little damage, but something always happens on an attack roll. The multi level terrain adds a neat visual affect and has a descent affect on game play....

Best 6DOF Narrative Games on PC

The Book of Distance What can I say that hasn’t been said already? About 30 minutes, not much to “do” but so much to read & feel. You’ll need a solid 1.5m x 1.5m space to get the full effect. Ok, enough with the technical stuff… Such a wonderful VR experience!!! Just wow. It resonated with me so much, (lens got foggy, something in my eye…both eyes, weird) as I am first generation after my father immigrated to the United States....

Best Action Narrative Games on PC

Gunhouse Warning: This game is seriously addictive. The puzzle system isn’t the easiest thing to understand, but once you get the hang of it, watch the hours fly by. Choose your favourite weapon types and how you want to use them, mixing and matching in any way you like, whilst hunting down those addictive little objectives and blasting through each day. The art style is bright, vibrant and interesting if not a little crazy and whilst I can’t say I’m a fan of all of the music tracks, I do find myself humming along with a few of them....
