Best Casual Indie Games on PC

Elasto Mania Well, what can you say about a game you have played nearly every day for over 20 years? In my view no game gives the same feeling in terms of addictive, enjoyable and competitive gameplay, with its unique physics and also its wonderful community of gamers. For us who have been avid Elma players for decades, it’s almost surreal to finally see it getting its well-deserved Steam release (I have to give huge thanks to the new owners for being so collaborative with the “hardcore Elma scene” and doing their best to create a polished, modern Elma experience for Steam)....

Best Cats Indie Games on PC

The Cat Machine The Cat Machine is incredibly fun, having the time of my life. It’s a puzzle game reminiscent of SpaceChem, in that you must build paths for certain objects to traverse in just the right way. But in The Cat Machine the thing you’re guiding is a train
of cats. The mechanics are simple and intuitive, and the graphics, music & text are hilarious. I can’t get enough of these cat trains, and the scientist cats programming up a storm in the background....

Best Character Customization Indie Games on PC

Type Up so i have play this Type Up game and i think my typing skills improved, i would very recommend buying this game if you want typing challenge and like growth at the same time than this is the game for you. The Dav did a good work on Type Up but there is only few things that need to be add to the game like spending more points because almost have 27 points and i max out everything so is kind of pointless playing the game besides typing that really it, can’t wait to see the next update if there is a update to the game....

Best Choices Matter Indie Games on PC

My name is You and it’s the only unusual thing in my life Reviewers disclaimer - If you don’t enjoy dark humour or you find the story tedious then it’s best you view this as ‘Not Recommended’ and leave it alone BUT I like to give games like this credit for achieving a tongue in cheek experience for, without that humour, it sadly would be a dull game At first glance during game-play the grainy film style mixed with the short yet direct sentences of the story may cause you to think ‘What have I got myself into here?...

Best Choose Your Own Adventure Indie Games on PC

The Yawhg Initially, when I first heard of this game, I just figured, “hey, this looks kinda neat but I’m not paying $10 for it becuase I’m a lousy cheap-ass.” It looked like a cool concept to me and if it looks like a cool concept to you, then you’re perhaps in for something of a treat. Now, when I first played it on my own, I wasn’t particularly entertained. I mean, yes, the different story paths were somewhat interesting and the various different endings were kinda cool but I wasn’t really absorbed into it....

Best Cinematic Indie Games on PC

Best Clicker Indie Games on PC

Human-powered spacecraft Not your average 1€/$ clicker game here just for its achievements.. =P Well, one hour or two are definitely enough to get them all. And with ease, trust me. All the achievements are in fact incremental and linked to your progression in the story, so basically everything isn’t missable apart from the least achieved one - basically, you’ll have just to “sync” the cat and rat icon on the lower left part of the screen, switching between rest (red) and work (green) - synchronizing the Schrödinger’s cat and mouse or whatever they are....

Best Cold War Indie Games on PC

Death Trader: Cold War This game was great! It was super fun and im suprised its not more laggy and gltchy than it is, i was sceptical buying it but im glad i did, lots of fun, you need to fix a few bugs but i loved it otherwise and suggest you buy it! One thing I would like to see is things like being able to change the time you start like 1960, 62', 65, etc....

Best Colorful Indie Games on PC

Dashing Fire Finding the game very fun, i haven’t beaten it yet but i find the game tense and tight. The design is very thoughtful and encourages tactical decision making. Also the art of the game is very nice. The few things i have against the game is I fins it much too easy to buy shortcuts before you’ve been to an area, practically disincentives playing the game, the other thing is that after playing for a while some of the areas can get quite repetitive....

Best Comic Book Indie Games on PC

Half-Life: A Place in the West There’s a logic in Hollywood that video games can make good movies, despite the fact that few if any films actually bear this notion out (and believe me, I’m being kind by saying “few”). Similarly, it’s questionable to what degree a video game is liable to translate into the medium of comics. Theoretically, probably a little BETTER than movies
but I’m still not quite convinced. A good “story” in a video game is a completely different thing to a good story in either film or literature, and a video game’s notion of “character” is more often than not a good-looking and functional avatar designed to move the “plot” forward, and give the player an adequate excuse to kill things or solve puzzles....
