NBA 2K22 I have failed and once again contributed to the annual money bucket scrap pile that is the NBA 2K series. The last 2K I purchased was 2K19, and for years I purchased the brand new 2K. I purchased every new 2K from 2K14 through 2K19 and did have plentiful fun with friends. Dominion Always heard about the boardgame but never had the chance to play it and now that i did I can see why it’s so popular! The DA is very well done: plays smooth, good sfx, AI feels solid (haven’t tried Hard yet though). The game has already -I think?- all of the the expansions available that can be played in a 1v1 against AI or with another player online....
Questr I found QUESTR to be very entertaining. It is not much as a game, but what it lacks in gaming substance it makes up in content. You start by inviting people to join your quest party. Many of the people lie on their profiles and some characters hate your other members so much that they quit right away. Every quest has multiple events in which you need to select one characters idea how to solve them....
Erannorth Chronicles I got this game for free because I won it as part of a modding contest for Erannorth Reborn. So I had to put effort into making the mod and win the contest. So it wasn’t really a handout. This is the best deck builder RPG I ever played. The character creation alone allows a degree of freedom that no other game like this can hope to achieve....
Roll Roll is original and engaging. You roll dice to collect points, and use those points to upgrade your dice. The goal is to get the highest score possible in 2500 rolls. It is likely to be too ‘mathy’ for some - figuring out which upgrades will generate the most had me setting up spreadsheets. However, some players like that sort of thing and once I got my head around the upgrades (most of the upgrades, there are some I still don’t really understand), I found I could do pretty well playing from the gut - which is more fun for me....
Crash The Core A wonderful little rogue lite and deck building game. The UI is fairly basic but the mechanics are great which is bigger deal to me than shiny UI. I like the monster art and it in just the few days I’ve been playing the publisher has updated it, and fixed some things/issues. I believe it is a tiny or even one person maker of the game. So given the great mechanics and publisher seems to be wanting to make improvements, IMO it is by far worth the price!...
Space Food Truck Mainly writing this because I disagree with what the majority of the negative reviews are saying, as someone who cranked out 40 hours of gameplay (split quite evenly between online and offline play) and who completed games on the hardest difficulty level.
