Dark Comedy

PomboTroll PomboTroll is a “joke” game with MS paint tier hand drawn “art”. Control a “pigeon” and puke on/avoid other birds in 2D side scrolling arcade style gameplay. The quality is deplorably low, resolution and controls are locked and can’t be changed. Gameplay is a sloppy mess, literally and figuratively. The developer made this bundletrash in the hopes it might get a few clicks from the funny concept, but there’s nothing of value here for gamers, or anyone else for that matter....

Green Project Fun game, with a lot of potentual. The alone feel is nice, the humor, while terrible, is so bad it’s hillarious. the progression feels a little arbitrary, with zones “locked off” by that goo stuff, that apparently is some toxic muschroom stuff? Yet you eat other mushrooms? Honestly, it makes more sense if it was leftover pollution from humans, and the “spore” increase you get from eating uncoocked food, or existing should be toxins or such....

Chair F*cking Simulator Erotic. Sublime. A wonderful experience with which to pass the time. Chair Fcking Simulator, henceforth known as CFS offers a unique outlook into the lifestyle of sxually uninhibited, potato shaped being. Browsing through profiles on postcards, Potato-Like Man picks one perfect and sexy piece of furniture with which to do the deed. Friends, let me tell you that I’d been quivering with anticipation up to this point but when the actual act began, ohhh, what art....

New Ice York This game is so much more than I expected it to be. At first, playing it- I was charmed by how weird it was but after playing through it, I found myself feeling connected to this universe and the characters within it. It’s intuitive- familiar, but totally different. Refreshingly fun, and an overall great release by magicdweedo, an artist I’ve really enjoyed since Mealmate™. Make sure to check out the soundtrack, too- it’s really catchy!...

Fit For a King Fit For a King is a relatively short game but is definitely an enjoyable experience. The whole game is centred around the summit that you will be throwing and your main goal is to outspend your rival. Like the trailer says, you can pretty much do anything, from executing a foreign ambassador to marrying a literal piece of sh- ahem refuse. At times it can seem a bit aimless and it can be hard to find the clues to get things you need but otherwise is quite fun and definitely worth a play....

EnviroGolf A text adventure golf game, well, sort of. The game consists of a series of prompts, selecting your club, and then your power. After every hit, you’re treated to a screen with a message criticising the sport of golf due to its various specific negative effects on the welfare of the local fauna. That’s the whole game. It’s hard to say what exactly this game is trying to accomplish. It certainly can’t be a text adventure, because there is no adventure to be had....

Cubic Currency A charming indie game with character. Hot take on capitalism pros: excellent worldbuilding immersive experience: soundtrack, sound effects, and art are very well done fun and nuanced gameplay that keeps you coming back balances randomness and skill well well planned achievements cons: seems a little too easy (i’ve won each of my first 3 runs without many difficulties) – let capitalism be more brutal!...

A Chamber of Stars Each person has a universe inside of them. A personal universe with characters influenced by the observable reality around them. Your friends, the fans, the local shop clerk, each person you pass without giving pause is another universe. You make up a story about them, they form a story about you. The universes expand. I always wonder how similar our universes can be. You and I. Will I ever be able to pierce through and present myself, my real self, or will the information be lost in translation?...

Terrorarium After just over a whole month of developing levels for the Murder Garden Contest, it’s time for my review of Terrorarium. TLDR: Terrorarium is a fun and creative game with an interesting concept and encourages community participation. The developers are always active in the Terrorarium Discord server and always take suggestions by listening to their fans (Which is rare these days). Plus, You can make awesome levels for your friends and others to play and murder them with ferocious plants!...
