Dungeon Siege Dungeon Siege 1 is a very simple game in terms of gameplay. Meditative action without guts covering the whole battlegroud, plus some actions with your items, such as changing your equipement, reading a few books, and walking through the game in a rather thin corridor… …would say someone and, despite that description works, that won’t be true in placing the accents. Most noticeable part is the party work. Every character has only a little of story, but… you can play from a point of view from any of them, just as with your hero - you can even give a boot to your created character and beat the rest of the game just with your conpanions without hero!...

NiGHTS Into Dreams I will never shut up about NiGHTS, so if writing this review will allow me to talk about it, I’m going to! First off, if you love any of SEGA’s classics and have heard a lot about NiGHTS but you’re not sure if you’ll like it, I would HIGHLY recommend you give it a go. This game is really cheap on Steam these days, which makes sense because game itself is 20+ years old so by today’s standards is ‘worth less’, I guess....

Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000 Before Halo, Call of Duty, and other new-school shooters that currently saturate the FPS market, there was the old school. I’m talking about games that kept the same spirit as Wolfenstein 3D, like the Doom series, Duke Nukem 3D, Half-Life, the Quake series, and Unreal. If you lived through this time, you know what I’m talking about. These games are representative of a peak in shooters in that their challenge, length, and fun depended on gameplay alone—no cutscenes that pad the game time, no predictable plot elements, and no exploitative glitches that most new school gamers use in games today....

METAL SLUG 3 Metal Slug 3 is one of the most highly regarded entries in a classic franchise that, along with Contra, has pretty much defined the “run and gun” sub-genre of action platformers and shmups. The Metal Slug series has an emphasis on enemies crowding around (collision damage can’t kill you), conservation of power ups, and a variety of vehicles which appear throughout the game and change the way you move and fight for a limited time....

Counter Terrorist Agency This is my revised and final review now that I’ve had a fair bit more time with it. CTA is a game I’ve wanted for a long time, which is why it comes as such a disappointment that so little thought was put into its design. I love the idea of tracking terrorist groups, deciding how and when to strike, collecting intelligence, and ultimately trying to prevent attacks....

Hitman: Codename 47 Hitman: Codename 47 is the game that started a whole franchise and presented one of games' most recognizable characters: Agent 47. This game has great ideas impaired by technical limitations, both from the technology of the time and the budget, but counters it by having fun gameplay and a flawless story. It is amazing how intelligent games were back then, detailing storylines and interesting characters displayed with an easy-to-follow presentation....

Gothic II: Gold Edition The Gothic series and Gothic 2 (w/ addon) has a cult following in both Germany as well as Eastern Europe. Developed by a tiny indie studio it featured absolutely fantastic storytelling in a fantasy world without any of the usual high fantasy bullcrap. The entire Gothic series is low Fantasy, similar to the Witcher series, but not as grim. What makes Gothic 2 really shine, isn’t grittyness, but roughness....

reky Very challenging, but fun! Minimal in its conception with use of color to contribute interest. Unique use of cubes in ways to motivate one to seek the solution, but forgiving in its offerings of undo the previous move or restart the puzzle. Grand Theft Auto 2 This GTA is different due to the camera angle, it has more of a 2D feel to it. However the idea is the same, open world game where you steal cars, kill people and explore. The cities are like levels, you beat a city and then go to the next one. There are 3 of them and each city has 3 gangs. The thing is, you can’t travel from one city to another....
