Bullet Heaven 2 Disclaimer: I played all of Matt’s games and was a big fan of Bullet Heaven 1. Bullet Heaven 2 is an incredibly pretty Bullet Hell game full of content, and it comes packed with features to adjust the difficulty for any player. But at the end of the day, it is still a Bullet Hell game. If you don’t derive any enjoyment from moving your tiny hitbox (it’s one pixel) through intricate patterns of near-death, then this will game will quickly wear thin for you....

The Hong Kong Massacre I rarely leave reviews unless its something i hate and want to rake over the coals.. but i have to leave one here to give these people props. I’ve been following this game since i stumbled over it on Facebook for many many years ago when all there was were just gifs of tech demos. I loved the style and the potential that was shown and i was hooked at the idea....

Planet Hotpot Still very rough around the edges, I believe in the next few months there’ll be a lot of improvements in the interface and depth of the game. For now, it plays smooth and has a well-defined gameplay loop (kill aliens, get powerups, kill aliens better). I do recommend this game, but make no mistake this IS very early access at the moment so best not to go in expecting a complete game....

Ascendants Rising the game is still at its early stage, the tutorial is very simple, at the beginning you have to press “V” to continue with the tutorial, after defeating the final boss, you will go into the hub were you can team up with your friends, at the moment it does not have a LFG system, according to the dev on discord they say it is going to be added in the future, so if you want to play you have to find friends on their discord and add them on steam, invite them through steam and then you can play....

Chessplosion This is a great game that uses its simplicity and straightforward chess moves, to combine it into a deep and complex gameplay as you’ll constantly be planning 2 moves in advance. The cute look and simple-at-first-glance aspect makes it a super fun and enjoyable experience, which leads to harder challenges as you progress. There’s even multiplayer with lobbies that would make fighting games blush! Worth every bit of the price, it’s a small and well put game....

Red Brick Hotel Absolute trash, as you’d expect from your typical lazy 12 year old kid who got the almighty GameGuru software for his birthday! And if this trash was actually made by an adult, then that adult needs to be locked up for trying to SCAM Steam users for $17 USD. The Hunter’s Journals - Tattered Sails The interactive mechanics are not like other interactive fiction I’ve played. It is much more like a table top game. Combat is actually handled in rounds with randomly generated dice rolls. You can speed this up to just show the final result but it’s still a table top way of handling things and I didn’t like it. In table top games you can build your character to weight the dice rolls through backgrounds, stats, gear, race, etc....
