Micro Mages Another Kickstarter backer here, I have been looking forward to this game for months. Micro Mages is a Nintendo NES game in 40KB, which was the size of a standard NES ROM cartridge when the NES was first released (and the same size as the original Super Mario Bros launch title). Later NES games would take advantage of techniques like bank switching to use bigger ROMs. At the time of writing Morphcat has only put the game trailer on the Steam store page, not their other far more popular video which shows exactly how they fit the game into 40KB....

It’s in early access so there are some improvements to be had but my time with it has been somewhat of a neat experience. I love the soundtrack and the voice that talks throughout the levels. Sole Iron Tail I loved this! The movement feels fast and fluid, similar to Sonic or Freedom Planet, but with its own twists with charging and sliding. When you start building up momentum and racing through the level, it just feels great. The art is adorable and the soundtrack is a legit banger. For the price, this is a steal, especially if you like classic platformers with an emphasis on collecting and speedrunning!...
