Last Farewell
[DEV] We’ve been working on Last Farewell for 2 years(as of writing this review)
I’m super proud of what we have so far and what we’ve managed to achieve in this little time as an Indie Studio, we obviously have a long way to go in terms of content(which is why we’re in Early Access) but the core is there and I’m excited to keep building this game with our community!
Would def recommend!

After months of delaying my own input, I am now finally satisfied with my current opinion on Last Farewell. This review in no way favours anyone in particular, and is entirely made upon my experience with the game.
At first, Last Farewell seemed like an impossible success. When it released on October 16, 2020 (early access*) I couldn’t play for more than 1 game without encountering a game breaking and even game ending bugs. It was not a fun experience. Aside from the bugs, the game overall just didn’t feel fun. I decided to play a few months after.

Frost
Frost: A solo deck-building PC game
(This was originally posted on my blog, GoPlayListen . It is largely aimed at tabletop gamers, but hopefully others will find the review useful too)
I’m pretty wary of computer games that mimic ideas from the board and card game world. It’s very rare they manage to capture the subtlety required to make a truly great tactical or strategic game, focusing more on visual bells and whistles and (usually) adding too many luck elements to hold the interest for long. Unless they’re a direct port from an existing tabletop game, they rarely seem designed for gamers.

Certainly not a game for everyone, but if you’re intrigued by the theme or the thought of pushing your luck in a hostile card-driven affair, then Frost is a pretty cool pick.
Aside from being chromatically challenged, Frost is notable for being a solitaire experience inspired by real world deck-building card games such as Dominion and its subsequent imitators including World of Tanks: Rush and Resident Evil.
The action, such as it is, takes place in the sort of post-apocalyptic setting that author Kurt Vonnegut made popular in his seminal novel Cat’s Cradle; a freezing world where tribes must now band together for their very survival. In the game’s ‘Classic’ mode you become a leader who must collect the resources needed to traverse the land in search of a mythical place called the “Refuge” whilst also trying your best to outrun the titular snow storm that threatens to consume all.

Review:
I’m only recommending this game, because I think there is a group of people that will enjoy this game. I did not enjoy this game there’s ZERO percent chance you can outplay everything you’re forced to take mandatory hits and depending on the AI’s erratic behavior if you do try to actually out maneuver your co workers because they’re camping a spot you’re going to run out of time. I’m such a nice guy though I’ll explain some things that aren’t explained in the control scheme it gives you so you don’t have to get gaped trying to figure it out there’s some neat intricacies. For CONFIG you need absolutely nothing swaps you need one computer you can only carry one. 5 discs= 1 life so this is where the game is playable and gives you a chance to win this is a life management/calculated hit type game. This is not a stealth game it’s not a skill game, it’s a strategy game and requires a pretty good amount of RNG. The enemies CAN HIT YOU MULTIPLE TIMES there’s no I frames if there’s 5 enemies sitting in a cramped hallway BETTER believe you’re taking 5 damage. There’s not enough space to outplay shit a lot of the time. I like games where If i play it well enough I can win and not take damage this game you can understand what to do do it and get gaped by the AI the AI I’m not sure if it’s smart or the fact it easily gets trapped in small areas, but they camp it and with your hit box in a 2 square room you’re not dodging. So it’s a NO for me, but if you want a really hard strategy risk management game this is for you. I also love the concept of being an IT worker being frustrated by dum dums.

Theo’s World
Theo’s World is the rarest game I have ever played. I personally believe that the best part of Theo’s World was the fact that I felt elite knowing I was one of the only sets of eyes that would likely ever see this game. There was clearly alot of effort that went into the map, however within 5 minutes I was stuck, glued to my tricycle and forced to do nothing but tour the island. Another 5 minutes past and poor Theo tipped over the tricycle and we got stuck, in the hellscape that is Theo’s World.
