Dinosaurs Prehistoric Survivors

Dinosaurs Prehistoric Survivors

I just completed the game today and before I get into my thoughts of the game keep in mind that this is an Early Access Game which has been out for only 16 days. That being said you can’t expect it to be on the same level as a game that has been in Early Access for months or the same level as a finished product. Onto my thoughts…

After 20.1 hours of gameplay I have found that this game is well built for the most part and is well thought out. The game requires using a different play style at the different phases of your dinosaur’s development. The way you set your dinosaur’s stats really does affect how easy or hard the game is.

This game is pretty fun and pretty tense every once in a while it needs some improvements though:

-Different roars

-Add more dinosaurs in campaign mode

  • All mechanics except growing in free roam

  • If it’s possible, add herds for you to come across or join

  • Add roaming utahraptor packs

  • and nesting (nesting would be a good idea because in both free roam and campaign it would give you something to do once you’re fully grown)

  • and possibly (to add realism and since it’s single player) add a sleeping system

BEFORE you rage quit - please read.

I have put some time in on the game and have to say that it would be an excellent addition to an anger management course. The dynamic with the bugs is very frustrating and it can seem like the developer is trying to troll you. It begins to feel like a “groundhog day” endless restart of your life to do things exactly right. More of a puzzle that you only get to figure out the next piece by dying. Over and over and…..over. For those who go in thinking it will be a sandy and hot version of The Long Dark there will be angst at first.

The game has potential, that’s why I kept playing, but there are way too many things wrong with it as it is right now.

It crashes Firefox. Every single time. I literally cannot have Firefox open at the same time as Starsand.

The centipedes are the most annoying mobs I’ve seen in any game, and they completely ruin it for me. No matter how many of them I kill they are always back the next day. I can’t even find myself on the map most times, how can THEY find me again THAT fast?

Their bodies also despawn very fast, so you can easily find yourself with no loot at the end of a tough fight. The bodies despawn on load too, so if you killed 3 of them, saved and then got killed by the last one you’ll notice the ones you killed disappeared.

We Can Make It

We Can Make It

Basics:

We Can Make It is a solo developed third person shooter. There are four game modes: Bounty PVE, Bounty PVP, Elimination, and Battlegrounds. This game focused on competitive play and challenges the player to stay alive in all modes. There are no timers and no closing circles in this game. All damage is final and this is a permadeath game. Once your out of the game you are out for good, you can spectate your friends though!

This game also focuses on stealth and planning, for instance, when you are shot you begin leaving a blood trail in your path that players can track. You continue losing blood until you either bandage or die. All of your bullet shell casing and magazines remain on the ground for a good duration to allow players to identify your recent location. Players have a drained perk that allows highlighting the magazines, casings, blood, and footprints for a very short duration.

Game modes:

Bounty PVE: Bounty PVE is a cooperative mode with 3 other players, your goal is to eliminate the high value target as quickly and efficiently as possible. The target is fortified by plentiful AI targets. Bonus XP is rewarded for stealth accomplishment. Collect all dog tags, which is optional, and if you die you are out permanently but can spectate. The more tags you collect the more XP you get for your confirmed kills.

Bounty PVP: Bounty PVP is a solo game type facing up to 12 players, for now this is a non-dedicated server setup. Plans for releasing dedicated servers for all game modes is in the future. Your goal is to eliminate the high value target, collect the intel, and extract. That being said, this is the objective of the other players as well. Other players can steal the intel from you if they kill you. Upon eliminating other players you collect their dog tags, to grant extra XP for the confirmed kill and any money they received during their session. The bounty target is an AI hostile and is heavily fortified by plentiful other AI targets.

Elimination: Elimination is essentially Bounty PVP but you and 3 other players are to face off against 34 other players and defend your Intel, Power station, and avoid your teams HVT getting eliminated. This is the only game mode that stealth is really needed to be focused with. Upon eliminating other players you collect their dog tags, to grant extra XP for the confirmed kill It’s your team versus the world and if you make it out alive you will be granted plentiful XP for your survival.

Battlegrounds(Future update): Battlegrounds is a large open map with multiple locations to hunker down and survive the oncoming zombie onslaught. Your main objective is survival and there are 100 other players in the lobby as well doing the same. In the radius of your team you will acquire more and more zombies over time hunting you specifically. Avoid other players as the two team radiuses combine to form 2x the zombie count. Eliminate the other players and free yourself up. There are also side objectives: Hunt, Sabotage, and Intel securing. The Hunt objective is a simple kill your HVT, Sabotaging is intentionally sitting in the other team radius to bring the horde for a certain amount of time. While this is active for you it halves your zombie count and passes it off to the other team. There goal is to find you as quick as possible. Intel securing is straightforward to, just find and collect the documents for free XP. Around the map are randomly generated gun spawns and attachments as necessary. A store can be built by your teams builder that allows transfer of XP, buying equipment, and storing all ammo, guns, attachments, and dog tags into the bank for later use and trade ins. The end of this mode is done by you simply dying. Once your whole team has been eliminated you will return to the main menu with a multiplier of XP based off of your player kill count, your survival time, and objectives completed.

All in all, please keep in mind this is a solo developed game and I fully intend to work with all users in applying better game mechanics, removing bad ones, adding new ideas that people enjoy, and generally just communicate as best as possible to make this game enjoyable! -ViciousAfro

Anarchy: Wolf’s law : Prologue

Anarchy: Wolf’s law : Prologue

Before leaving your review, I want to draw your attention: the game is presented in a demo version.

So, in short, the game is a single-player shooter with RPG elements where we need to capture production points.

I liked the HUD (although I would change the fonts in it to something less angular), I liked how the weapon behaves when firing, but the recoil is not very clear. The weapon shakes all over the screen, but the Y-axis movement itself is rather strange. The terrain in the game is not very well developed in terms of graphics, but I think this is due to the fact that we are playing the beta version.

This is just from the single player side that i have played so far. It reminds me a lot of deadside but harder. The biggest difference between the games is everything is much closer and you are not running for 10+ min to get somewhere to look for something and finally there is cars! Why other large games like this have not put in vehicles still blows my mind.

I had no issues with running the game at all no crashes, stutters, sound problems, controls were smooth ( needs some more customization in the future), from what i could tell hit detection seemed to good but I was only able to get in about an hour so I may update this in the future.

Animalia Survival

Animalia Survival

So i bought this game Friday at noon… Played it until Saturday 5am… In one sitting i nearly got my $1 = 1hour entertainment. I woke up Saturday at 11am, did my morning routine and now i am going to binge some more. If you are a fan of hardcore survival and animals, this game is right up your alley. Note this game is HARDCORE. So if your animal dies, your going to be starting a fresh new cub(some servers offer adult spawns). Personally for me this keeps the game fresh. Allows you to keep trying out new animals or trying out new point specs for your animals attributes. There are quite a bit of animals already in the game for early access and ALOT more on the road map ahead. I heard 36 African animals are planned.

Climber: Sky is the Limit

Climber: Sky is the Limit

Climber: Sky is the Limit is a game with a unique mixture of survival and simulation. As a player, you are a climber who takes on the most difficult and dangerous peaks on earth. To succeed you need to plan your journey carefully by preparing appropriate equipment, choosing a suitable trail, facing extreme weather conditions, and surviving. Conquer your limits, overcome your fear and reach the sky.

Reach the summit

Each expedition is different, and the journey to the top is a great challenge. Conquer your fear, face your limits and reach the summit. In order to do that: traverse dangerous trails using specialized equipment such as ice ax, lifelines, or carabiners.

Face numerous dangers

During the journey, you will face diverse obstacles like blizzards, chasms, vertical walls, steep traverses, icy slopes, and crevasses. The key to success is to plan your next steps wisely and use the appropriate equipment at the right time.

Plan your expedition

Before setting off, decide which trail is best to the top taking into account weather conditions and the weather windows. Sometimes it’s better to take a chance and choose a more difficult route, but thanks to this you will be able to reach the summit before a snowstorm.

Survival

The key to survival is to have appropriate tools when you need one. Each piece of equipment has its weight but also makes your next step harder. Ensure you have enough food to recover your strengths, or you have a warm jacket and sleeping bag to warm up after a full-day climb.

Good timing also plays a great role during the expedition. In the high mountains, where weather changes quickly and night falls very fast, plan ahead to set up camp in the right place that gives you a chance to recover before the next challenging day.

Key Features

  • Scale some of the world’s most famous peaks like Everest, K2, Broad Peak, and others.

  • Face a variety of environmental challenges from chasms, vertical walls, steep traverses, icy slopes, treacherous crevasses, and more.

  • Use specialized equipment to traverse dangerous trails and slopes like ice axes, carabiners, and lifelines.

  • Contend with and plan around harsh weather conditions like blizzards, extreme wind, and plummeting temperatures.

  • Keep up your health and strength by balancing stamina, morale, temperature, and hunger.

  • Plan every point of your journey, packing only the necessities, choosing your path (will you take the safer route or the risky one?), preparing for each day’s trek and weather conditions.

  • Vie for contracts from sponsors for a chance to buy extra equipment and fund future excursions, but be advised they may include incredible challenges.

  • An immersive experience that has been created to be as realistic as possible through consulting expert mountaineers.

Erzurum

Erzurum

In short - a quick and dirty ripp-off of The Long Dark - about 5% of the fun, it only deserves 5% of the price also.

Its only WASD - no directional key control remaping except for looking around…I don’t like or use WASD controls..also there is no strafing.

Made in Unreal engine with so many bugs I thought it initially must be a Unity game.

Very large single map (maybe too big?) - will take long time to get around. Graphics always popping in right in front of you. Nice looking environment but weather is terrible at best - its like someone turned on the snow or off again - its instant with no warning and too simplistic. My own game is far better than this.

Real player with 28.6 hrs in game

Played enough to complete the main story, not really interested in the other game modes (Kill 20 bears in 24 hrs, survive 7 days -25 degrees Celsius) where it just feels empty. Visually, it look great, especially the high-res textures, which almost make the environment seem real enough. Once you go third person, you realize the dev is using a character model from one of their other games. Main character doesn’t look horrible, but definitely does not fit with the game, looks like the guy from The Division with that iconic jacket he wears lol. The survival aspect felt okay for a game this big. By the end was able to stay warm using the best animal pelt I had found. I really did not have much trouble at all with food or water, for it was everywhere, though by the end I started to worry about not being over-encumbered. Seeing the other games the devs have made, this one seems like their best one in my opinion, I suppose it captures the Turkish feel(never been there), and the high-res textures really made all the objects pop-out(the assets placed all over the world, I mean). Overall, for a small-time game, this is good for killing the time and enjoying the environment when there’s boredom in the real world. Edit: hope the devs can make a game better than this in the future.

Some of the mechanics take a minute to get used to but on the whole I like the game, it’s very chill
