LEGO® STAR WARS™: The Force Awakens

LEGO® STAR WARS™: The Force Awakens

Hmm, how do I review such an awesome game… There’s so much to talk about…

Warning, this is very long, mate

~Mechanics~

It’s like all other Lego games in most ways; you go through the story of the movie the game is based on, destroy things and Lego studs pop out, you use them to buy characters and vehicles and upgrades (most commonly known as “Red Bricks”).

There are some things that set it apart a bit from other Lego games though.

:Graphics:

The game has really good graphics. The shadows and textures and water and all are really good. It runs smooth and all the places look like from the movie.

TL;DR: I enjoyed it and would recommend! I was a real fan of the actors coming back and voicing new lines, the space/air combat, and I found the length of the game to be satisfying (took me 33 hours to achieve 100% completion).

“There has been an awakening in your wallet. Have you felt it?”

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is my first venture into a Lego video game since Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars; I bring this up because I’ll be covering some features that are new to me, but may not be new to the Lego video games. Before I go over the ‘new’ mechanics, I’d like to address a concern I had about the game and that some of you who are reading this may be having: the other Lego Star Wars games covered three or more episodes -or what existed of a TV show at the time- but this only covers a single film, so this one is probably on the short side compared to the others, right?

Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor

Nimbatus - The Space Drone Constructor

Nimbatus is a great game that ha sucked away my free time.

Tutorial:

The tutorial is not the best, it only tells you the bare minimum in its first section on how to build a mobile craft, and all the other tutorials are basically useless, the only usefull one for the ingame content is the logic section that teaches you how to build a basic ramming style sumo drone even thougb the objective is to create a drone to fly forwards with no context as for why you need to know what this could be used for. ALSO the in the harvesating tutorial the ore does not get harvested correctly, it shrinks into the center unlike chunks being ripped off of the ore in the acutal game.

This is tough to rate this as not recommended.

The main appeal of this game, for me, was concept of creating completely autonomous spacecraft. And at a glance, it does that very well. I was able to create several different ships that were able to go off alone and solve missions by themselves, and even a ‘factory mothership’ that would replicate a variety of subordinate drones that would do the dirty work for mom. It is pretty satisfying at first, almost like a simulation of 2D electronics with a unique environment to play with.

Islet Online

Islet Online

Still playing yes, Game, itself is fascinating where you can hunt animals, for food an raw materials, you can even flood the world at one point, PVP is option too. I haven’t tried it yet. I did have events like bunnies bunnies everywhere…not bunny to drop. If you get that.(died by kamikaze bunny) believe for one exception you could build towering mazes and mazes,

I did see castles and cathereadals somewhere people are building amazing structures.

You can upload your latest creation to steam where they showcase it,

This review is for the current version of the game(2/7/16)

What is Islet Online? Islet Online is a creative open world sandbox, similar to Minecraft. This game features an experience system that allows you to level up in pretty much everything like jumping, crafting, fighting and much more. These can directly effect your play experience, for example, you may be able to eventually jump up to 4 times in the air. It actually reminds me of McMMO from the old Minecraft Bukkit days….

This game is absolute dogshit, but i have seen worse. Multiplayer is finicky as hell but fun when it works. The souds are loud and rough, but hilarious. If you plan on getting this game for the cringe then get it because it is absolutely beautiful. Otherwise buy a copy for you and your friends as well. I honestly love this game. I just wish the dev would keeps working on it and fix networking issues. 8/10 would recommend

This game has massive potential if the developer just put more effort instead of leaving it to die. this is why alot of people frown on indie games and see them as “Money Grabbing”.

It has its moments for such a cheap price i suggest you buy it it is better than most negative games and actually has some fun elements and great graphics. 3/5
