The Rule of Land: Pioneers
it’s aight, pretty addictive.
needs a light polish, some spelling checking
on screen text gets a bit annoying after some time
“Press [esc] to cancel this operation”
“No Bullets”
I hate having to press M1 for every action,
Mining 40 rock is tedious.
loses difficulty fast.
I gets very boring after all other survivors are dead.
Getting to 200 days is mostly a chore

I just found the “continues mining” option. the game is much better now.

This ended up being a lot more fun than I figured.
I was worried that having the game play limited to just a few locations would make it repetitive but it actually wasn’t.
The only thing I disliked was that the HUD wasn’t explained very well but it is a brand new game so take it with a grain of salt.
Overall I found it to be a medium paced game that was thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to watching it develop more over time.

Underlings
All in all a great game. It has that old school feel as advertised. Like games from the ancient 80’s and 90’s, it doesn’t hold your hand and challenges you to beat it. Victory is far from certain. I haven’t beat it yet but, when I do, that feeling of achievement is sure to follow. In contrast to the empty feeling from beating adventure games that autopilot the player to certain victory, I prefer games like this one.
There’s a lot more to the crafting system than I expected. I was surprised as this game has more crafting structures than most other game out there, and not just some one time use stations either. They all get used over and over.

REVIEW UPDATE #2
I am glad that the “instant noodles” nest exploit, armor, and repair bug has been addressed, it is a much better gaming experience now.
I wish there there were an easier way to create and join servers (think “Don’t Starve).
I still love the game & I think that you should buy it.

30 days to survive
Bought the game on sale, and honestly enjoyed it. Not just because it was cheap, but it’s a challenging game, with simple graphics. There are a few bugs that I’ve encountered, and the RNG could use some tuning up(I got a bear as my very first enemy, and that peashooter doesnt do enough to kill it), but it has potential. It’s not a bad game, its more of an RNG side scroller.
The bugs so far
What looks like a combat shotgun, if picked up, can be picked up multiple times, and bugs the inventory to the point of game crash.

30 days to survive is a zombie survival, side scrolling platformer. It’s the first of its kind that I’ve seen personally. At the very least the devs should be commended for attempting it. The physics are a little wonky, but it fits well with its blocky, Lego-man-esque art style.
The controls and game mechanics take some getting used to. Right out of the gate can be pretty unforgiving. With its quick hunger and energy depletion, coupled with zombies that get little to no knockback from attacks. The items are RNG heavy, so you can get very unlucky with starving to death or losing the ability to run and jump. Progression hinges upon using the save function at your house to build up an arsenal of gear to survive with. It can be easily exploited by save scumming, but to some degree you kind of have to in order to live beyond 5 stages away from home. There is a sewer system that you can discover that acts as a sort of checkpoint system. There is a taxi that can appear randomly which you use to fast travel home. For the most part though, the further away from home you go, the further you have to walk back. Items respawn after moving two stages beyond, so you have a chance to find enough food and energy to make the journey back. Enemies respawn as well though, so it isn’t an easy decision to risk the journey.

Idea behind this game
The idea behind this game is that animals and plants only appear in their native biomes before humans have messed everything up, including species that have been extinct and exclusive, introduced new species by humans.
